March 22, 2018 4.0 Pros What I like most is that you can call or e-mail support and you have answers quickly. They teach you how to do something rather than just do it for you; that is very essential for our business and our employees. The overall use of PrintPoint is easy and helps us run our business on a day to day basis. Cons The reporting can be difficult to generate at times but it's not to say the functionality is not there. Sometimes generating a report can have almost too much detail rather than basic templates that are easier for me to create. Review Source RC Robert C. Pros Designed for a Commercial Printshop, PrintPoint gives unparalleled tracking of sales, customers, estimating, job ticketing, inventory, and much more. However the most valuable feature is the customer service provided by the developer Any time you are going to implement an MIS solution for your business, it's a complex process. The set-up and configuration can be the most difficult part. PrintPoint has so much depth that just figuring out the features you want to use can be a daunting proposition. That's why their customer service is so important. They take the time to train you and guide you through the set-up process. Once you are using the software, it's easy to use. Every job starts with creating an estimate for your customer. If they place an order, you turn that estimate into a job with a few keystrokes. This prints a job ticket that can be used on the production floor. If you buy the data collection option you can use barcode scanners to log in and out of jobs and do job costing. Once a job is produced you close it out and send it to be invoiced. Invoices can be exported to Quickbooks at day's end. If you want a full featured program offering soup to nuts for a commercial printshop then PrintPoint is for you. Nobody else in the industry will be more responsive and helpful. A large printshop will want to have a designated PrintPoint specialist tasked with training new staff and keeping on top of pricing changes, reporting, etc. Cons I love everything about this software. If you force me to pick something negative it would be that PrintPoint is not an easy program to set-up. For a large shop it can take a couple months to enter all your customers, paper inventory, pricing, etc. But once you do all the grunt work, you'll be glad you did. That's when life as the manager of a printing company gets much easier and you can access reports such as job costing analysis. Review Source Dena P. I like the ability to upload paper and inks on the go and I like the tax setting and the ability to customize that, too. Cons I have some problems adjusting some of the forms with the software, it's not as simple as it seems. There is a some trouble at spacing and moving lines to make boxes. Pros Price point is good for our size of company when we started. It runs on both P.C's and Mac's. This is great where we have prepress staff that it can sit on their desktops and then it can also run on machines that are windows OS. We don;t have to have an IT professional to maintain it. It has modules that are expandable so you don't have to purchase a vast amount of components to get started. It's flexible; we have the ability to create our own style of job tickets which is very important to our operation. Cons There are a few items would like to see improvement on. They are driven to succeed in assisting their clients with a proactive approach. Pros The People at Print Point are committed to provide a quality product. They are in tune with the continuing changes in the printing industry and strive to be proactive, understanding the needs of their clients Cons Print Point is a small company and limited in what they can implement for unique requests. Our awesome customer service record is based on how Printpoint has been able to perform for our small team. Pros It's fast and it's organized, and can be further organized, in such a way as to make work-flow FLY. Clients are often surprised by how fast I can access their information. Job tracking is a snap. This software is the backbone of our operations. Cons I honestly don't face any obstacles in daily use that I can't create a custom-solution for within a few moments. Now I can get a quote out in seconds or minutes depending on the complexity. Again, one of the greatest strengths of working with PrintPoint is the training and support you get. Pros I love that I can get back to an estimate and do a revision. The support is phenomenal. They have taught me many things not only about estimating but about computers in general. As I said maybe overkill for small printers but you can grow with it. Pros The fact that we can go back and check, clone and just basically keep track of past jobs. Cons It can take a while to set up and find your way around the software ... but once it's done you will save a tremendous amount of time.... Cons If you change anything on 1 quote it affects all quotes from there on. It would be nice to have QuickBooks and PrintPoint merged together, it's a matter of time to do this. Pros We have used PrintPoint software for over twenty-five years. That fact alone states the obvious, PrintPoint software does the job for us. All software is imperfect. I can search the web by categories and see where our inconsistencies are. Our customers love it too. They can actually see what they are ordering and review it for updates if needed before ordering. The ordering process for them is user friendly. Cons Took a long time to upload all of 5,000+ products. After some tweaking of the software, this process is now much, much faster.
