You can send invitations to bid to multiple subcontractors from multiple trades in just minutes. It also tracks and reports which subcontractor is interested in bidding. I like using Bid Genius. I use it daily. Cons: Everything is manual, cumbersome, and not terribly intuitive. Setting up a project, selecting the trades involved, then assigning subs by trades is a bulky chore with unnecessary steps. Want to send an addendum or mass email? After you write it up, use the clunky interface to attach any files, then attempt to send, it will reset and default to the first alphabetical username and to the first addendum or email of that project. You can easily spam your subs with confusing duplicate/outdated information from the wrong source if you're in a hurry. Subs often comment that they don't receive the invitations because they go straight to junk or get stuck in company spam filters. Response rate to the bid invitation (clicking the button) is less than 10%. I often have to re-send the document link when I call subs to follow up. There is no help file for this program. Well, there is one, but there's nothing in it. BidGenius regularly hangs up, freezes, and crashes doing mundane tasks, like assigning CSI codes to a sub. I have yet to have it successfully export a CSV report to Excel; it hangs and crashes every time. I am constantly needing to re-pack the database and call customer service weekly. Customer service is very nice and responsive, but I'd rather have a system that works reliably. Response from Vendor June 4, 2016 Pacific Construction Services, Chicago is our client since May 2013 and they are still active client. They were very happy with BidGenius and that's why they upgraded BidGenius for Unlimited User Licenses and then purchased BidGenius for another company "Master Design Build". Also, we received very good reference letter from the company which was posted on our website. There were some local system issues causing BidGenius not to run as expected. We already contacted Mrs. Searfoss to resolve any open issues. BidGenius seems to be working fine. DK Dipesh K.
