### "Happy with MyDoma"

The support team at MyDoma has been a dream and are always there to help when you need it. The setup process was challenging, and I still find that I'm trying to figure out how to make the software work best for me, but overall it has helped to improve my business. I wish I didn't have to do so many "workarounds", however, and that the software had more features to solve some of the issues I've encountered (examples: being able to enter a deposit amount and have invoices deduct from it, rather than having to have this all on a singular invoice. Being able to accept bank transfers in Canada. Use of packages without requirement of purchase online. Ability to delete projects rather than just archive.

Pros

I love that I can easily track my time and include information on how I used the time. When added to an invoice, I find that it provides full transparency to my clients on how their dollars are being spent.

Cons

I wish that there were more payment options available in Canada, and that tax rates were auto-applied.

### "Life changing for my business!"

My business needed structure in all the processes. Mydoma gives my team the ability to stay on task and understand all the moving parts of each clients project and where we stand with sourcing, client approvals, and all the documentation that is involved. The software also helps my clients understand all the moving parts to our business process. Its a visual documentation client based product, and most people need something visual to see at anytime they login.

Pros

Before Mydoma, I had no clear way to show clients products for approval other than an email, face to face or dropbox. With Mydoma, all documents, before and after photos, inspiration, and all sourced product is there visually for my clients to view and approve. It is clear and easy to use and they LOVE using it. It brings an easy of peace to them when they see that my business is organized and all necessary documentation is visible to them at anytime they choose to view it and see updates. My business has grown because of Mydoma and I feel more confident because of this software. I highly recommend Mydoma to anyone in an industry that needs a place for all documents to live for clients to review and see.

Cons

The only Con thus far is the learning curve with the new update. Although I understand change is sometimes necessary to make something better. I look forward to learning and using the updated Mydoma Next.

### "The best customer service around!"

Pros

The product clipper is probably my favorite feature in this software. It was very well thought out and makes the ease of making selections and referencing them back to the vendor stress free. You being able to link them directly to the project you are working on creates that extra level of ease knowing it is going exactly where you need it to. Also this cannot go unstated but the customer service and support you are able to receive using MyDoma is unmatched. When I first started using the program, I felt a little lost. I reached out to schedule a call and to my surprise it was a one on one video call with one of the MyDoma experts. I was able to speak with a real person, ask them my specific questions, and receive the guidance that was necessary. That will never be forgotten and went a very long way with me. The call didn't end there either; after we were done I got a follow up email where I was sent links to up coming small group trainings that I could to attend. That meant a lot for me especially just starting out on my own business venture.

Cons

I see MyDoma is constantly in the works and making changes and updates which is wonderful. One thing that I have noticed is a little difficult in presenting proposals to clients; if I have the same item going in multiple rooms, that item can only be shown on one proposals. (ex. using the same toilet in multiple bathrooms; if I have 3 and I place one in a powder room proposal, I can no longer put that other two in the remaining bathrooms since it is already proposed. I could put the quantity 3 all in one bathroom but then the total cost for that room renovation does not reflect accurately). The other thing is the profit/loss tab is a great visual to see how lucrative your project is going to be, one thing that would be nice is if when you received invoices, then placed orders, if you were able to continue to see those numbers to keep track of everything. It feels like you Invoice then the balance is paid and I then manually implement receipts and numbers into a spreadsheet.

In the case of proposals, because quantities and client pricing are shown on the proposal documents, it's best to put the item into the project once for each space's proposal. A pricing sheet view would be a quick and easy way to keep track of a project's P/L. These can show the overall project or can be created for smaller parts of the project (by room or by category for example). Even better, they can be included in a project template so they're automatically created exactly the way the user wants them each time they create a project. ### "Best program to integrate more robust programs into for your team!"

Since using the program, I find it much easier to use a bridge between my book keeper and her software. Also, the layout and rendering options are great. Everything else can be imported so you can truely have a virtual project folder, even the Gnat Chart. To be able to email from the program and client activity is still needed.

Pros

The ease of use and it's versatility to tailor it to my comapany has been an asset.

Cons

The internal costing needs to be developed, however the time tracking is great.

Reason for choosing Mydoma Studio

I use automation for repetitive tasks. I already had configured them and had them in Click Up, however, building in Click-Up was all consuming. It was just easier joining this platform. I was also familiar with \[sensitive content hidden\] company and when she merged with My Doma, It really was the best of both worlds.

### "myDoma Review"

I think there are a lot of good functions in myDoma but it needs to be more stream-lined and easier to use. I think that charging over 4% for using a credit card is outrageously expensive.

Pros

This product is a good place to organize items related to the project.

Cons

1.It would be great if I can add a vendor while I'm adding a product. Otherwise I add a product, have to exit, add a vendor, go back into product and add the vendor. This multi step process is tedious. 2. The views are confusing and difficult to use. I liked when I was able to get client view. 3. I want to know if my client logged in - the function was taken away. 4. make the product more user friendly and intuitive for clients. Most of my clients find the product difficult to use. 5. I want the ability to send a partial invoice to QB

### "So sad"

I used to love it. I was heart broken when I created a guest user account to see what the end user experience was like. It is not conducive to my business. I am heartbroken that after three years I will have to switch to a new platform. Also, I know some designers are stoked about the renderings, but I pay a lot of money for Cad software and computers to use it. I do not need this. Focus on what you were meant to be. Honestly. This has me so upset I lay awake at night about it sad. I will be looking for a new software platform. (Unless I can keep my doma previous version).

Pros

The previous version. I loved my Doma and tried to get other designers to use it.

Cons

Now. I do not like that all of the unused features appear on the clients page --- the entire menu on the left. I do not like that I cannot see when clients have logged in. I do not like that the clients' page has a giant task box on it ( our work is not their job / to do list). I do not like the views they are CUMBERSOME to manage.

At the moment there is no way to know if a client is logged in but great news we are already working on this! The task section is where your client can easily see items pertaining to their project. Things such as "you have an invoice ready for payment" or "you have a contract that needs to be signed" are noted here. Clients can also communicate with you and your team, sign paperwork, and even process a payment! Views provide designers complete control over the information their clients, team members, contractors, receiver, etc see. You can decide what information is shared. ### "Good for Furniture Specying not good for full renovations "

Good but never really used it as I thought we would. Constant updates got confusing, new MyDoma didn't live up to what it should have been. I wanted to like and use this platform because it is Canadian and I believed it what you are trying to do but falls short for what we need it for.

Honestly was very disappointed in the update. We lost a bunch of work, we spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to use it. Is not a platform that I feel like works for Interior Designers doing renovation work only for e-design, furniture specifying etc. Did not like how we could not customize. Assigning roles and what they could look at was very confusing. We are moving to another platform.

### "Mydoma Studio Review"

Mydoma is a great company to do business with. They are so helpful with learning their software, they answer questions quickly and completely. And they seem to care about my containing education in the design field, which to me means they are further developing themselves to better serve the design community.

Pros

This software allows my business to run more efficiently by communicating with clients, tracking my time and organizing job specifications all in one place.

Cons

I would love a mobile app where I can easily put Client notes while on the job site. So each meeting, whether it's with the clients or a contractor, all of my notes can be in the same place. I'd also love to be able to customize the look of invoices, purchase orders and even tear sheets. As a designer, everything the client sees influences them on my credibility and brand. I'd love to be able to make what is visible to the client even more customizable to my company aesthetic.

I love the customer service the most. All software has their issues but the staff at MyDoma are so willing to help and take their time to get you sorted out. I also love how they listen to our reviews and try to make changes to make it better for everyone. They believe in their product and really want to help us organize and grow our businesses.

Pros

I love that the information is all in one place and that all designers and clients can access information from one platform. Also, each project has the information packaged together and available for reviewing at any time from anywhere.

Cons

There are some features like the views that may take a bit of getting used to. Sometimes, the organization of the proposals, invoices, and products/services can be a confusing and takes some time to get right.

### "I Could Not Run My Business Without Mydoma!!!"

I started using Mydoma on my first project in my business three years ago and I feel as though they are my business partners. Mydoma keeps me organized and any question can be answered by a few keyboard clicks. If I had to run my business with spreadsheets and printouts I would loose my mind. There is no doubt that I can handle more volume of business with Mydoma. I love it!!!

Pros

The question should be what do I not love? I love everything about Mydoma! My product library is ever expanding which saves me time when designing. The invoice section is imperative to the accuracy of my projects. The personal chat option is great. I also love the community around Mydoma with other designers and the training which Mydoma offers is above and beyond.

Cons

I find the partial payment option unclear as my client do not seem to be able to see my partial payment notes at the bottom of the invoices.

I initially wasn't too keen on switching over from all of my self-made templates, but using MyDoma for the past year or so has definitely simplified my business and allowed me to streamline my process. I also like how easy it is for my clients to navigate and it keeps everyone on my team connected.

I would like MyDoma to open up integration options as they don't currently allow me to connect my accounting software (Wave Apps).

Our experience with Mydoma has been very positive. It has streamlined the processes of organizing, planning, communicating, invoicing and ordering in a way that saved tremendous time.

Pros

This software has streamlined the back office procedures, given us a one place to store all pertinent information related to each individual project and a place to communicate with clients outside of email and texting. The product clipper is a total time saver!!

Cons

The mood board lacks options to be creative in developing the boards and the reports are very limited.

### "Game-changer for my interior design business."

Mydoma has been a game changer for my business and my sanity. Now instead of trying to organize a complex design project via emails and texts, everything stays in one spot and easy to find and collaborate for both me and my clients!

Pros

Mydoma Studio keeps all the many pieces of all my design projects well organized and easy to find for both me and my clients. It is user-friendly and has made my business run so much more efficiently.

Cons

I do think there could be some more detailed features added such as a reminder/task system. I also don’t like how the notification emails don’t show which project the notification is for, as things can get forgotten easier that way.

Overall I am very happy. This has helped my overall process run more quickly and smoothly and keeps everything pretty well organized.

Pros

I like that I can upload product directly into the project it applies to. It's great that my clients can login to see the details of product I am proposing.

Cons

I feel like some functions are clunky. For instance with a PO, I can't hide the trade pricing before I send it to a vendor (if I have presearched or have a quote from another source) and so this confuses them when I am requesting pricing bc they see I have pricing. I feel like there is also a lot of back and forth, for instance to correct something on an invoice often times I have to go into the project to correct and go back to the invoice. Oftentimes there are a lot of unnecessary steps. I also wish I could write proposals and contracts on MyDoma instead of just uploading. Then I could use this for everything.

### "Great Program"

Happy... honestly I am overall very satisfied

Pros

I did a ton of research when looking into a new program for my interior design business. Very few out there interface with QuickBooks, which was a must have for me. I have to say that it interfaces well, no major hiccups and is pretty flawless with communicating with that program. Mydoma is also great when you have multiple interior designers working for you. It is a great way for them to be able to write estimates/invoices with ease and track work flow. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT

Cons

Honestly, the layout could be a bit neater and more organized. When you are going into the program the simpler it is the better as we the users can be quick to enter in the information and work more efficiently.

Positive overall. I know I still have a lot to learn and need to make time to watch training videos. Since I’m work at night I haven’t been able to utilize the chat.

Pros

The visualizer does have a lot of great features and creates beautiful images. I need to learn how to do panoramics and import items. I love the product clipper too.

Cons

It could be more intuitive. It took me a while to figure out the proper order to do things in. For example how to get products to show up so I could get them on my proposal.

Reason for choosing Mydoma Studio

I have 2020 also since I am more familiar with it for drawings and renderings but it doesn’t have as good of a CRM and invoicing system.

### "Keeps my interior design business organized!"

Overall it’s been great at keeping me organized and tracking products for my projects.

Pros

Great for organizing projects and clients, keeping track of products and orders, and having everything organized in one easy system I can refer back to at any time.

Cons

I find it difficult to track my actual profit when it comes to furniture discount and markup. There is nothing in the system to tell me a quick overall profit without downloading the entire file.

Mydoma is my favorite 'team member' and my clients LOVE IT! I am so happy with the service, my only wish is that it had an accounting system integrated like Studio Designer.

Pros

I love the whole platform and the ease of use for me and my clients.

Cons

Would love an option for SALES TAX PAID vs. SALES TAX OWED - This is a major time killer when uploading invoices to Qucikbooks and makes bookkeeping difficult.

### "Like it but probably moving on."

Customer service is great, love the hours/minutes time tracking. Like the product library.

Pros

Visualizer & photorealistic rendering.Time tracking by hours/minutes.

Cons

Takes too many clicks to get a task accomplished. Made the next version too complicated and not enough pertinent information on the screen but have to click to get to it.Doesn't seamlessly connect to QBooks where your progress bill/invoice.Hate the mood board/sample board. Too clunky.

Reason for choosing Mydoma Studio

I initially liked it but my accountant doesn't and the newer version isn't easy to use, too complicated too many clicks & needs to be more simple, intuitive. Sometimes simple is better, intuitive is better.

Very happy overall, as it has made my job easier and has also allowed me to offer edesign

Pros

Able to submit deliverables, get approvals, send out invoices without losing track of everything

Cons

The user interface. Design is not very intuitive, so confusing or tedious to use (like the sorting feature, or that the projects cannot be sorted the way you want)

### "Gives me more time for designing"

I've been using it since 2017 and I've found it a great support - saving me from employing help

Pros

The fact it is tailored to my work. I can time my projects and share with whoever I need to. It helps me to work really efficiently - therefore saving costs for my clients

Cons

I wish it could help to total al CO2 emissions of things I specify. This is becoming almost as important to me as financial cost.

Pros

Mydoma organizing projects well. Orders and invoices are easy to navigate.

Cons

It is not intuitive - some things that would seem obvious are not! I wish software changes could be made in a more timely fashion.
