Pros: The ability to communicate between retailers and suppliers in a very real time exchange.
The ability to merge a large quantity of orders directly into our CMS software for quick and easy fulfillment.
The search ability to easily find any PO and the ease with being able to separate retailers by name.
Love the work flow chart associated to each order- easy to see notes and activity in regard to any given order.

Cons: The complicated and lengthy process of sending and receiving PO Acknowledgements and Changes.
All recent activity is noted on the over and transaction tabs, making it confusing to scroll through. I like the idea of only showing 1 PO number and having check marks within the box that show the activity that has been completed for that particular PO.
This software does not work well with our very unique "small company" CMS/ ERP software. We have to manually print out each PO, manually respond with a PO Acknowledgement after manually checking our inventory, and then have to manually enter the drop ship addresses and order into our software for fulfillment. We then also have to manually respond with ASNs and import invoicing. We do have the ability to merge large quantity orders, with a specially crafted application so long as it only has a few consistent addresses the account/retailer ships to. Automated merging is not possible for many and varying drop ship addresses, those we must manually print, review, and enter through the entire fulfillment process.

Overall: My experience hasn't been easy. There was no first hand training. We had to rely on webinars and video training to gather the knowledge we needed to understand how to navigate SPS Commerce and the fulfillment process. However, if we had an in-person training and if our in-house software was more up-to-date so that integration and automation was an option, I believe my experience would be more pleasant.

Pros: Excellent, Fast & Friendly service!! Easy to use, quick response. Helps to streamline my daily workflow and responsibilities.

Cons: Have not yet found anything I don't like.

Pros: If you need to connect to a sales channel via EDI, SPS Commerce is going to be one of the most reliable options to do so. SPS is a large organization, and they seem to have experience connecting with any retailer we would want to do business with. This makes the integration process a lot easier.

SPS also has a very responsive technical support team. Any time an issue comes up, we send them an email, and almost always get a response within one business day. The technical team seems to be very knowledgeable.

Cons: The main con is the price. SPS charges a flat per-document fee. When you are receiving large dollar-value orders, this small fee per document doesn't amount to much. However, if you are doing high volume, low dollar-value dropship orders, the fixed fee per document takes out a large percentage of your profit. Depending on the type of business you do, you need to clearly negotiate with SPS to get the pricing that works best for you.

Other than that, the experience with SPS Commerce has been good.

Overall: SPS Commerce allowed us to connect to dropship and bulk-shipment retailers via EDI. We were able to fulfill orders manually via this software, and then eventually set up the software to communicate automatically with our warehouse.

Pros: This program is easy to use. Most of our customers are using this program for EDI, thus we use this program almost daily to get purchase orders from multiple customers and invoice each customer after shipment on a very easy and convenient way. It is a very helpful tool to do invoicing and fasten payment receivable. It also has alert system to tell you if your invoice can not pass on to the customers with reason etc. It is in short a useful and helpful tool to run the daily business through EDI platform. I personally recommend this software to the similar business model as ours.

Cons: Besides the Pros for this software, it also has some negative features that I would like to bring up here. It is not easy to look up some information sometimes. Especially when you want to look up some history information, the search criteria is somehow ambitious. It takes time to try an error to search for some information. Also the online chat is not always there, it is usually take you a day to get response for some simple question. Phone in also take quite long wait. It is the most important things I feel SPS commerce should pay more attention to improve.

Overall: easy to use.

This company has no clue how to process EDI.

Pros: There is nothing to like. I cannot say one good thing about this company or its offerings. Once it is working it does basically what it should. Do not expect anything more.

Cons: Customer support is slow and clueless. The second level takes forever to respond. These people do not get that a PO not making it to the vendor is an urgent issue and needs to be resolved same day. Thank god we do use integrated, several of our vendors have expressed nightmares implementing integrated XML solution. Two of our vendors had enough, they bought in house EDI solution and replaced SPS. Not one of out 30 or so trading partners like SPS. Reporting is the worst and web site slow. I swear this company is attempting to destroy EDI by replacing it with their own proprietary software, which is horrible.
Do not attempt to implement SPS solution without an independent EDI implementation specialist. When was hired, I spent the first year fixing the implementation and redoing all transaction guidelines. Many opportunities were missed due to lack of on-site knowlege of how EDI works. Misplaced trust was put in SPS to provide EDI knowledge, support and processing.

Overall: Very little.

We use SPS on a daily basis, but when problems arise there is always a delay in resolution.

Pros: Once set-up has been completed correctly the process is smooth. I like that I am able to get notifications of the activities of the POs, Invoices, and ASNs.

Cons: The software is fine, but support needs help. Emailing customer support is a slow process and I don't get same day responses/resolutions. Response from a staff member can take a few days to a week. I typically have to call in to get problems resolved the same day if it's an urgent matter. Error notifications don't provide any details on why documents were rejected. Depending on who is helping with the ticket will depend on the length of time for resolution. I have requested a break down of the EDI flow so I can understand the process better, but have not received additional information and was told there isn't any information on this. Our company has had high turnover and there is no one on staff that has a central understanding of how EDI works.

Pros: We haven't had chance yet to fully integrate yet so it will be some time before we can comment fully on what we do and don't like re this software. On the webforms startup it was more difficult to use than our previous provider but I think that's a lack f training up front but once this was organised it was better - Point do a better job in this area we should not have to chase

Overall: To early to tel but what we expect is a streamlined EDI process requiring minimal intervention and no errors

Pros: I LOVE that SPS integrates with our accounting system, so I can import customer orders with the click of a button. I wouldn't want to work without it! It's easy to use, the navigation is very user friendly, and I like that is has all my documents in one place. Customer service/support is great and they are always willing to help.

Cons: On the rare occasion, it can be a little slow and/or glitche, but that is probably my own internet more than anything. I do wish that there were page arrows at both the top and bottom of pages. Currently, you can only switch to the next page by scrolling all the way to the bottom of the page. When the pages are so long, it would be nice to have that option at the top too!

Overall: Makes processing customer orders so easy and it's a great place to have all our orders stored in one spot. Customer service is really good too!

Pros: The number one thing is the editing the documents for validity. This has prevented many a charge-back from occurring. We also use the Webforms for customers that do not justify a complete EDI connection or one time customers. Seconal or single buy customers a perfect for this. The adhoc reporting makes it easy to find out whats happening with documents.

Cons: Set up can be tough at times and rather complicated but then EDI seems to be these days. Some more reporting would be nice to have. Error reporting is getting better but could be better explanations.

Overall: Validity checking and SPS worrying about all the configuration changes NOT me. Web based EDI for simple / one time customers.

Favorable experience - sometimes there are issues that need to be resolved but they are responsive

Pros: The Hybrid Solution that allows integration and webform . Ability to print out the shipping /ucc 128 label which is a great plus for us.
Ability to check documents either on Webform or in the integration and using of one map format for all Trading Partners is wonderful - making the testing a breeze.
Support team is great - they will try to help you resolve the issue.

Cons: The one map format is great but sometimes the information being used are not what the Trading Partner wants and need to work with Support/Setup Team to fix the issue.

Calling Support sometimes need to wait a while for someone to pick up.

Overall: Comply with the Customers' requirement easily

Pros: Reliable, virtually no problems regarding chargebacks. I also like the UPS integration a lot. It simplifies shipping and shipping time. Highly customizable to fit users's needs, bulk edits, and bulk submission of up to 100 invoices.

Cons: It often logs-out user, and sometimes works really slow. It doesn't warn you if a transaction did not get acknowledged by partner after say 24 hours. We manually have to check every transaction once a day to make sure it got received by partner.

Overall: Able to do business with major retailers, without worrying about software and technical expertise. We are able to approach retailers and tell them we are EDI compliant, knowing that we will be able to setup without problems.

Easy to work with. Both the programs and the people.

Pros: We had been using a company that was very difficult to deal with and get information from when we had questions. SPS Commerce is very good about answering the phones and having someone that can help with all of our questions. The software is very logical and easy to work with.

Cons: I wish only the fields that the customer requires, would show during input. Or the actual needed items would be marked appropriately. This is done somewhat, but not correctly all the time.

Overall: Most of my larger customers use SPS Commerce, so when there are any updates from my customers, the changes are automatic and I don't have to worry about making any changes from here. This is a great help!

Most of the functionality performs as advertised.

Pros: Sending ASN's, doing order acknowledgements, and PO confirmations are pretty straightforward. The tech support people are tremendous and very knowledgeable.

Cons: Printing a shipping document like a packing slip is cumbersome as it requires an extra step. You have to fill out an ASN as if you were going to send it, but then save it halfway through, and then select print shipping document. Then you have to go back in, once you have shipped and now have your tracking information, and find the old saved original ASN , and then complete it. Not very fluid.

Overall: Able to complete ASN, PO confirmation ,and acknowledgements.

Pros: THE SOFTWARE IS SO EASY TO USE IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN AROUND SITES LIKE THIS BEFORE IT WILL MORE OR LESS WALK YOU THROUGH EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW OR DO. WHEN YOU ARE DONE YOU CHECK FOR ERRORS AND THE SOFTWARE LETS YOU KNOW WHERE TO FIX THE PROBLEMS.

Cons: IF YOU HAVE MADE A MISTAKE AND NEED TO GO BACK AFTER YOU HAVE SUBMITTED THE FORM IT IS A HEADACHE TO FIX IT.

Overall: WE HAVE SEVERAL CUSTOMERS THAT REQUIRE US TO USE SPS AND IT IS MUCH EASIER THAN SENDING AN INVOICE FROM OUR CURRENT OPERATING SYSTEM FOR INVOICING. I ALSO LIKE THAT THE PURCHASE ORDERS AND SHIPPING INFORMATION ARE ALL IN ONE PLACE WHEN YOU NEED TO REVIEW.

Pros: I like the way the navigation shows to the right side. Originally you had to go back to another screen but now it is located in a much more user friendly area.

Cons: SPS changed it format a year or so ago. I preferred the older format. It was more stream line. This could possibly be familiarity more than anything but we still feel it was a better format.

Overall: We were very frustrated with the new format as we were use to the older format and felt it was complicated unnecessarily with the new format. Although the side bar with navigation pane is very helpful on the new format.

Not as intuitive as it could be. When working properly, can be a good tool.

Pros: The ability to generate shipping labels with in the site is a time saver. Being able to invoice through the site is also nice and a time saver.

Cons: When it gets bogged down, orders can fall through the cracks, things don't send in a timely manner. This mainly applies to Target. Rarely have issues with Cabela's. Very expensive.

Overall: Can save time time but also can give you a headache when things are not working properly, ESPECIALLY during peak times like Christmas. For the money, you think the bugs would be worked out and not happen every year.

The web adapter makes keeping up with POs a breeze

Cons: We have had some issues in the recent past where POs were not being delivered on time. We were able to resolve this after calling in to support but it would be good to get some sort of alert when there is an issue.

Overall: SPS manages all the nitty gritty details involved with EDI so we don't have to. Additionally we feel secure knowing that SPS support will be there to get us out of a jam.

SPS Commerce is very easy to use. It's also easy to get in contact with support members if needed.

Pros: I appreciate the ease of access and quality of service. It is easy to use, and also easy to get in touch with support members when needed.

Cons: Not recently, but in the past, there were issues with Java updates and being able to access certain forms. That would be my only complaint, but even this has not been relevant recently.

Overall: I can quickly and easily print and submit required shipping documents such as packing lists and ASNs. Doing so allows our company to continually support our customers' growing needs.

Pros: It is commonly used, so our trading partners are able to integrate easily with our system. It is fairly straightforward.

Cons: It is often slow to transmit information and to update its features. The integration process with our warehouse has taken much longer than we anticipated, which was not properly discussed upfront.

Overall: We use this software to receive purchase orders from our trading partners, to send ASNs to some of our trading partners and to invoice to several of our trading partners.

Slow response time on follow up.

Pros: Works with our software and works for multiple vendors. The new fulfillment clearly shows you when the report was successfully sent, not more running reports!

Cons: Troubleshooting is difficult because it seems like not too many representatives at SPS are familiar with our particular inventory system. Response time and follow up is slow. This is problematic during document failure due to the chargebacks that can be assessed from vendors.

Pros: ease of completing invoices once i get to the correct form. Also like that the invoices are easily accessible should i need to refer to one. Also like the drop down menus.

Cons: that i must go through 5 screens just to get to invoicing. Do not like that I can not generate an invoice unless it is against a specific shipment. There have been times when I deduction needed to be made due to an error and there is not way to invoice for that

Pros: I like that it will check for errors and catch missed fields that need filled in. I also like the fact that it usually catch errors in calculating case numbers.

Cons: It has repetitious fields that should only have to be filled out once. Sometimes the dropdown menus get confusing as to discounts. I don't like the fact that it only recognizes all caps. The costs to use the product cuts deeply into profits, especially on small orders.

Pros: We have enjoyed our years with you! The majority of accounts we work with have been able to be handled through your EDI system which helps keeping it to one company. Plus we appreciate the ease to using your system

Cons: Last install took longer and our customer was amazed how long it was taking as normally you have had smooth set-ups for us. After several attempts and days we finally got the resolve though.

OK but not sure it is worth the money. Other options are out there.

Pros: The company is a big player in the industry and therefore many partners already use them. Because of their size they have a large set of services they offer.

Cons: If you are just looking for a VAN to handle your EDI then there are better option available. Many companies have equal services at a much cheaper price. Sometimes their customer service is difficult to deal with.

Overall: Our partner was using it so we went along with it.

As a manufacturer and wholesaler, we have been using Web Forms SPS Commerce for close to 10 years.

Pros: It is easy/intuitive, reliable and economical compared to regular EDI. The software is flexible in that a lot of our customers use it already as well as what it can interface directly with.

Cons: Don't really have any issues with the software. The software has proven to be really stable for us even when upgrades are done.

Overall: It saves a ton of time and money over manual entry as well as meets the requirements for our largest customers.

I have been using SPS Commerce WebForms product every day for over 9 years as a bicycle distributor.

Pros: Being able to see lots of documents at one time is probably the greatest advantage especially in my business where we historically have received 100-1500 orders per day. WebForms allows rapid processing of up to one hundred documents at a time.

Cons: Sometimes the interface isn't the most intuitive and the response time can be a little slow but no serious complaints.

Overall: Allows me to process hundreds of orders quickly.

They are constantly improving it making it even easier to use.

Pros: All tasks for one PO are on the same page. They have improved the speed of the program. They have made creating consolidated ASNs easier.

Cons: When it times out from lack of use it gives you an error message instead of just logging you out. Due dates should automatically fill in when ship date and terms are known.

Overall: It saves us the expense of purchasing EDI software for the few customers that require us to us it.

Pros: I love how user friendly the software is! It was a seamless transition with lots of resources and tools. Customer service is ALWAYS super friendly AND helpful, which is hard to come by these days!

Cons: When I click on a new PO I'd like to be able to toggle from tab to tab however the page changes entirely so sometimes I have to go back and forth too much.. Other than that I love it!

Pros: We like the standard format of sending and receiving documents, regardless of who the retailer is. All the info is mapped to familiar templates.

Cons: whenever there is a glitch, reaching customer support is difficult or need to ask for upper management to get quicker results.

Overall: Using SPS allowed us to trade with all of our retailers, including those who are new to EDI. Familiarity is important to avoid mistakes.

Overall: rapid search for POD's SO actual POS and remittances specially for huge customers. It si super convenient to use and user friendly!

Pros: Ease of use and the fact that we have multiple partners that all use the same platform. Finding the right order with multiple partners can be tough but your system makes it very easy.

Cons: Honestly, there is nothing we do not like. We use multiple platforms and yours is by far the easiest and the simplest to use.

Overall: It allows us to process orders and invoices in a more efficient and effective manner.

I use it everyday and so far so good. We've had it for several years and have been happy with it.

Pros: It is very east to use and search for items sent over EDI. With SPS I am able to find items from this morning or 6 months go. It makes researching old items in my system easy.

Cons: Their is much that I don't like about this software.

Overall: We use SPS commerce to receive information via EDI and transfer that data into our systems we use. We also transfer data back to our vendors using SPS.

Pros: The efficiency to submit documents, how easy it is to create invoices and advance ship notices. Save a lot of manual entry.

Cons: In reviewing the cost I realized that SPS Commerce is very high in price. If as a company you have high volume sales then it is worth the cost.

Overall: It allows the company to be more efficient on the Purchase Order processing. This allows for better accuracy.

SPS commerce is always so quick and helpful with assisting with an issue.

Pros: I love that you can use this third party application to ship to customers that are EDI complaint to send ASN and invoices for ease of pay and process turning time.

Cons: Learning the system can be confusing and it's not always easy to figure out what IT is refferring to if you are not use to EDI.

Pros: It's intuitive making it easy to learn/understand. The main categories are big, bold and easy to read. The search feature works well.

Cons: It takes more "clicks" than necessary to pull up the desired document. I'm always having to use the search feature to navigate the site. I prefer their older format.

Overall: Customer invoicing and inventory tracking are made simple.

The service department was always staffed with expert people who respected my needs.

Pros: I like that all of our retailers seem to already work with SPS, so our integrations are mostly very easy.

Cons: I wish we could have several different users for logging in for our company. Everyone logs in using my name and password

Overall: I receive notifications about all incoming documents, so I can't miss them. We easily and quickly set up our new retailers with SPS without any problems.

Having to create and ASN form , save it, and then create a packing slip is cumbersome.

Pros: setting up templates for frequent customers, and pre-filled forms. That helps with efficiency and productivity.

Cons: going through so many steps to create a packing slip. I have to create the ASN, then save it , then access shipping documents, then select packing slip. What a waste.

Overall: Not a whole lot, if our customers did not request it , we probably would not use it.

Pros: It's the industry standard and so many of our customers use it. The improved Webform Fulfillment is user friendly and intuitive. The chat feature is helpful.

Cons: Not all our customers use SPS and it does not integrate with QuickBooks Online. Sometimes the sales and implementation teams use jargon I can't follow.

Pros: It doesn't use java. Many times in the past I had user's who experienced problems because their java was not up to date. It's also a lot easier to manage documents than with WebForms.

Cons: Only being able to have one user login, it would be nice to be able to assign 2 or 3 more user logins so not everyone is using the admin one.

Pros: It is easy to use. The representatives are awesome when you call they jump right on with you and help. This is good for me LOL

Pros: Easy to use. If you have any issues - SPS team is always available for help. You don't need to wait for next business day, usually they are answering in 10-20 minutes.

Pros: It is good to have a resource for tracking and paper trail to look back on sent orders. Invoicing is quick and convenient.

Cons: The only issue I have is when sending a completed document, I dont have a clear response that it has been delivered to the customer. I have had several instances when the document showed sent but the customer didnt receive it.

Pros: Easy to follow menus. That's all

Cons: Very slow response time with software and ASN's remain pending for too long. This can cause a fine from our customers.

This was an easy transition from our old EDI to SPS Commerce, very user friendly.

Pros: Easy to save need information on all relevant sheets, easy to find or locate POs, self guided steps on how to receive, enter required info and submit invoices. The top also have a great window to let you know which orders are in each of the different stages.

Cons: That you don't get instead chat, if it's early enough someone will contact you but if usually it a bit longer than I would like. When I have an issue and I need help I'd like to get it not have to figure it out on my own.

Paid high dollar for implementation services and the lack of customer support HORRENDOUS

Pros: it is nice to have orders instantly arrive in our ERP, but all the work relied on us the customer. the effort as the customer was hardest piece of the puzzle, the customer support DID not care we were struggling. we had to trial and error this whole process, while trying to maintain our business levels.

Cons: lack of customer support. we purchased as a plug in to our Netsuite, however SPS, did not have a NS support helping us bridge the gaps

Overall: orders import. However it is not what we expected

Pros: customer service, how you can save information so you don't have to enter it twice, it's software is user friendly, how they provide courses to learn.

Cons: How PO's are all archived together, they should be organized by client name, so it's not confusing and you don't have to look for the PO all the time.

Pros: I like the Q & A feature, where I can find where other people have asked the same question and what the answers and outcomes were. Also, the templates in the webforms are such a time saver.

Cons: Switching over from Legacy was a bit of a head-ache, but now that things are all falling into place and some missing features have been added, I can see that this will be one of the easier programs to use.

Overall: I have to use a few EDI programs, and this one is the most user-friendly.

Pros: I like how the software lets you smoothly go from one step to the next. It is quick and easy to understand. I like that it shows what you are missing if you for get something and the ease to edit when you know you have forgotten something.

Cons: I don't like the fact that I have two different logins. One for one customer and another for three other customers. I wish they were all on one login. I also don't like getting two separate invoices.

Overall: It makes getting orders from customers work smoothly.

Absolute worst in the industry. A plague on EDI.

Pros: Nothing positive could be said about this company by anyone posting an honest review. Avoid at all costs.

Cons: If you are a major national retailer and you've been approached by SPS Commerce to handle your EDI they make themselves out to be an EDI solution partner. Meanwhile their real agenda is hijack the vendor base and hold the relationship hostage for testing fees and recurring costs. They are completely incompetent and ineffective at testing and deployment. Specific examples, including email correspondence from SPS can be found online as verification. The only reason they are still in business is because of their completely shady business model using contractual extortion. Almost no one would do business with them if not forced into the relationship.

Overall: None at all. The should be under investigation.

Pros: Overview and error features is are useful . I have not fully explored all the options to really see all the benefits of this version .

Cons: No visibility of drafts / saved documents all in on spot for all customers .
"Check for errors" in ASN or Invoicing is not in compliance with our customer requirements and often causes false " check complete no errors found " which result in charge backs.

Pros: Nice user-friendly interface, EDI documents are easy to create and send. I also like the dashboard feature when you log in.

Cons: I can't access or see the raw EDI data for documents. Customer support doesn't seem to understand their own software and will take a while to help solve a problem.

Overall: The software was able to integrate with our company's ERP system to process EDI documents quickly and with little to no errors.

Overall great experience. Few pitfalls.

Pros: Easy to use, very reliable. Upgrades have been fairly straightforward. Support has been VERY rarely required often because it works well.

Cons: Setup costs and onboarding procedures could be easier. Although mappings exist for many partners, there is still a surprisingly large setup fee for new partners.

Overall: We are able to conduct EDI-transactional business with our largest trading partners because SPS already has established, existing relationships with them.

I think it needs an updated face to it to make it more user friendly.

Pros: Connectivity to our customers and a good gateway to process orders and invoicing. It is better than dealing with each customer and their own process of ordering and invoicing.

Cons: I think there is lots of room for improvement, but I am not an expert in synchronizing many unique processes into one forum.

Overall: It centralizes a number of our customers into one forum for processing orders and invoicing. The financial commitments are high.

Good experience. Great visual layout. Easy to use_self taught.

Pros: The process is simple step by step. Use of icons to make the entry simple. Online chat for any questions. On call customer service to address any issues. Thorough follow up. Reference guide access.

Cons: Some purchase orders do not close out, even though all sections completed. Some purchase orders close out and they still have backorders.

Overall: Order processing is easy and simplified.

Pros: This software allows me to exchange information with my customers quickly and reliably. This helps me move on to other duties knowing that these orders or tasks have been completed and verified.

Cons: I find that the search funtions for this software is somewhat cumbersome and not as user friendly at it could be.

Pros: The simplicity of the software makes it almost impossible to make errors when communicating with our dealers

Cons: I haven't found any issues where I've disliked it. The change was a little hard to get used to, however once I used it more it makes it so much easier to complete all forms

Everything you will need to do will be manually.

Overall: Customer service is inexistent! the lady got back to me 2 weeks after I emailed her with my "urgent issue"
They will attract you by giving you free set up for trading partners but then you will get killed with a number of extra hours to send simple ASNs or any other documents.
Their software is full of bugs, crashes, horrible!!!

If I have a problem the "team" is always so helpful

Pros: Ease of use. Even though all the trading partners seem to use different formats, it is still easy to navigate

Cons: I wish that SPS would remove items that have shipped. Making it easier to navigate on very large orders as we often have to backorder items.

Pros: The support team for SPS is world-class. They have always provided prompt support and they seem to always understand the root cause of the issues at hand, whether user-related or system-related. Our vendors use SPS as a platform as a pragmatic approach to business solutions and it delivers with a user-friendly platform.

Cons: I would say that it suffers the same problem every shared platform does: it either sacrifices flexibility to cater to certain vendors, or it sacrifices customization to cater to all vendors.

Overall: I was always able to effectively see our vendors' orders, invoices, and claims. It's easy to use and logically laid out.
