"Strong EDI Platform with Great Network Coverage and Room for Better Execution"

**Overall:** verall, SPS Commerce has been a valuable and important partner for our EDI operations. The platform supports a large and growing transaction network and has helped us connect with major retailers, logistics partners, and fulfillment providers. My experience has been positive from a capability standpoint, especially when working with knowledgeable SPS resources who understand both the technical and business impact of EDI. That said, SPS would be even stronger with more proactive account management, clearer project scoping, better contract utilization reporting, and more consistent follow through across support, implementation, and commercial teams. The foundation is strong, but the customer experience depends heavily on getting the right people involved.

**Pros:** SPS Commerce has been a strong EDI backbone for our business. The platform gives us the ability to scale a complex retail and logistics network across customers, 3PLs, transportation partners, and internal systems. Their trading partner coverage is a major advantage, and when the right technical resources are engaged, SPS can move quickly and provide practical solutions. The transaction visibility, standard document support, and ability to support high volume EDI operations have been valuable as our network has grown.

**Cons:** The biggest opportunity is consistency around support ownership, project execution, and commercial transparency. At times, it can take too much effort to get clear answers on scope, pricing, map requirements, or who owns the next action. Some development quotes feel high when the request appears to align with standard EDI functionality, and annual contract reviews should include stronger data around usage, active trading partners, inactive customers, and optimization opportunities. SPS is powerful, but the customer experience would improve with cleaner handoffs, tighter accountability, and more proactive guidance.

**Switched From:** [TrueCommerce EDI Solutions](https://www.capterra.com/p/122910/TrueCommerce-EDI-Solutions/)

**Reasons for Switching to SPS Commerce:** We switched from True Commerce to SPS Commerce to consolidate and scale our EDI network on a stronger platform with better trading partner coverage, improved transaction visibility, and more direct support for our retail and logistics integrations. As our order volume and partner network grew, we needed a solution that could better support complex routing across retailers, 3PLs, NetSuite, and fulfillment partners. SPS gave us a more scalable foundation for automation, standard EDI document handling, and long term integration growth.

"Practical EDI platform with strong retail network"

**Overall:** Overall, SPS Commerce is a reliable EDI platform for working with large retailers. It simplifies integration and reduces manual work once everything is set up. However, implementation and ongoing maintenance still require coordination between business and technical teams. Good fit for organisations dealing with multiple trading partners and standard retail EDI requirements.

**Pros:** Easy onboarding with major retailers. Covers a wide trading partner network, which saves a lot of setup effort. Integration with D365 is workable and supports common EDI flows like PO, ASN, and Invoice. Helps standardise order management and reduce manual entry. Customer support is responsive, especially during onboarding and issue handling.

**Cons:** Initial setup can take time, especially mapping and partner-specific requirements. Some processes are not very flexible and may require workarounds for complex scenarios. Visibility on errors and troubleshooting could be clearer. Sometimes you need to go through support instead of self-service.
