We have used SPS for many years now and will be adding more of our partners in the near future.

Pros

The integration with our business processes was easy and the support staff excellent - very helpfull and knowledgable

Cons

So far we have not encountered any problems but many with the new partners. Remains to be seen

Pros

Great functionality. Straight forward to use. Great layout of features - click to proceed to next step.

Cons

Lots of variation in how our customer use the software making the steps on our end different for each customer.

Recently deployed VP EDI for a new WMS system with a short development window. Data Masons team was very responsive and supportive. Excellent company to work with. I would highly recommend Vantage Point EDI to anyone looking for new EDI deployment.

Pros

Great product. Very flexible and can fit the needs of standard and custom EDI mappings.

Cons

Understanding the back-end setup and processing can take time, but the Data Masons team provided excellent support and training to ease the transition.

SPS manages all the nitty gritty details involved with EDI so we don't have to. Additionally we feel secure knowing that SPS support will be there to get us out of a jam.

Pros

Consistent uptime Customer/technical support Flexible enough for our use The web adapter makes keeping up with POs a breeze

Cons

We have had some issues in the recent past where POs were not being delivered on time. We were able to resolve this after calling in to support but it would be good to get some sort of alert when there is an issue.

Pros

Integrations with all of our Medical suppliers and the Health care exchanges. Works very well with our Dynamics ERP system.

Cons

Nothing to add here. We have yet to find a customer they are unable to make a connection.

Ease of use. there is a good flow on the site to direct you to the next stages of the fullfillment process.

Cons

Slow. Takes time to open documents/load pages. This becomes frustrating when trying to get the PO open for the first time to view.

Very easy to integrate with Dynamics AX our ERP software. Makes it easy to test when setting up new trading partners, etc.

Pros

Easy to integrate with Dynamics AX. The Vantage Point software is very intuitive to learn and use.

Cons

Need simpler solutions for invoicing PO's outside of ERP

overall I have had a great experience, the support team is always available which is great.

Pros

I really like how easy this is to use, makes the whole process of purchase to billing easy.

Cons

I think it lacks necessary filters to sort documents. when you have more than 100 purchases orders and invoices it becomes a bit difficult to navagate.

The thing I like the most about the software is "I do not have the be and EDI junkie" to use and understand the software. It is so easy to use!

Cons

I really do not have any bad reports on the software - it is so easy to use and the cost is great.

Watch out, SPS's business model is to gather your customer/vendor list then attempt to force them to pay to use the SPS platform. We fell for it the first year with one customer and were charged assuming 100% of their locations would process on SPS's platform. After one year less than 1/3 were using the platform. SPS agreed to right size the contract at renewal but failed to and then claimed they weren't required to do so. Watch out. We are in the process of selecting and EDI vendor and SPS won't be considered. Cleo looks like a much better option.

Pros

Nothing, they promised higher volume while using their software which didn't happen, the volume went down.

Cons

See below about their deceptive practices.

Is on line ...easy to access.. Customer support is very good. Covalenworks platform is much much better for me than the SPS commerce platform

Cons

SPS platform hard to use for my business Covalent works platform much easier to use for my business

Pros

No comments. This software system does not benefit our company, it just adds extra work and costs money.

Cons

We are a smaller company that processes orders for larger vendors that require this software to be used for shipping there orders. This process adds a lot of extra work to my daily processing & for our shipping department. Our company has to pay all the fees involved for processing an order which cuts into our profit margin because we were already giving our customers discounts on their purchases from our professional catalog pricing. But unfortunately we need to comply, in order to keep the customer.

Pros

We honestly do not know much about EDI and the SPS team always help us out and gets issues resolved promptly.

Cons

Our set up with Target was very painful and so difficult. The person that helped us set it up was not very helpful.

This application has worked great for us and we are able to quickly expand our list of trading partners.

Pros

The user interface is very intuitive and easy to navigate. The scheduler is very easy to setup and automate transactions

Cons

There are times that the interface errors out while you are trying to pull up data. It does not cause any problems with the operations of the application but it can be frustrating when you are looking for something

Easy to find what I need. Instructions are clear and precise.

Cons

The software is very slow and you can't tell is you click the button, because their nothing to tell you to wait. The system is very slow to get from one screen to the other/to print the documents.

### "average and sometimes ineffective"

We use this software to receive purchase orders from our trading partners, to send ASNs to some of our trading partners and to invoice to several of our trading partners.

Pros

It is commonly used, so our trading partners are able to integrate easily with our system. It is fairly straightforward.

Cons

It is often slow to transmit information and to update its features. The integration process with our warehouse has taken much longer than we anticipated, which was not properly discussed upfront.

They are wonderful to work for but appear to have either a lot of turnover or they move people around frequently. In the five years we've been on SPS Commerce our team has changed at least 5 times.

Pros

SPS Commerce EDI Fulfillment allows us to bring up new customers more quickly than when we did it all in house.

Cons

It's expensive to add a new customer . If they require EDI transactions but they don't meet the transaction threshold then we typically put them on Webforms. This adds to the complexity for handling their transactions.

Pros

The workflow chart on the right margin helps keep orders on track. Point and click makes processing flow fairly easily.

Cons

No messaging with Vendor regarding issues with orders or processing.

ease of completing invoices once i get to the correct form. Also like that the invoices are easily accessible should i need to refer to one. Also like the drop down menus.

Cons

that i must go through 5 screens just to get to invoicing. Do not like that I can not generate an invoice unless it is against a specific shipment. There have been times when I deduction needed to be made due to an error and there is not way to invoice for that
