### "Reliable, efficient backbone for outbound shipping"

July 28, 2026

5.0

Great fit for any business shipping small parcels. Low cost negotiated rates and easy to integrate with your ecommerce store.

Pros

Very easy to use and efficient for our team. It handles our entire outbound shipping workflow without friction.

Cons

I wish we had a dedicated support manager instead of general support — when something goes sideways, having a named point of contact would help.

### "Good concept, but reliability and support issues made us move on"

May 20, 2026

2.0

I used ShipStation for my ecommerce business and eventually moved away from it because the problems started costing too much time. The software has a strong feature set on paper, but in practice I dealt with enough recurring issues that it became frustrating. Packing slips, account funding, label purchases, and support interactions all became pain points. I need shipping software to be boring, reliable, and fast. ShipStation had moments where it did that, but over time it became one more thing I had to babysit instead of a tool that made fulfillment easier.

Pros

When it worked, ShipStation was useful for managing orders, buying labels, printing packing slips, and handling day-to-day shipping from one place. The basic concept is good, and for a while it helped streamline fulfillment compared to doing everything manually through each carrier or sales platform.

Cons

The reliability and support became the major problems. I ran into repeated issues with packing slip formatting changing or breaking, label purchasing problems caused by small account/funding mismatches, added payment processing fees on labels, and support that often felt slow or unhelpful. Some features that should be basic seemed to get pushed behind upgrades or became harder to manage over time. For a small business, shipping software has to be dependable. If it creates extra friction during fulfillment, that defeats the purpose.

### "Great platform to get shipping quickly!"

July 11, 2025

5.0

Overall, I was happy with ShipStation when we used it exclusively for all of our shipments. We still use it as a backup when our other platform goes down for maintenance or some other reason.

Pros

ShipStation is fast and easy to learn and set up. This is a great solution for getting up and running quickly when syncing with your Shopify store.

Cons

I wish the rate shopping feature was available on the base plan. We ended up switching to another platform for the rate shopping.

I sell products on multiple online marketplaces and shipstation was the official product I used to ship from

Cons

### "Confirmed bug corrupting order data for 9 months with no fix"

April 24, 2026

1.0

ShipStation used to be a fantastic platform, but the changes they've made recently to cut costs by downsizing and offshoring their support have been very worrying. We used to love

Pros

Being able to ship and fulfill all orders accurately and in 1 place. It is fairly easy to use for both regular users using the UI, and advanced users utilizing the API.

Cons

Broken integration with our listing software causing all order totals to be inaccurate. Poor customer service (we reported the bug to them 9 months ago with no resolution despite it being a major issue that is corrupting order data). ShipStation's ChannelEngine integration incorrectly reads tax-inclusive line item values from ChannelEngine's order payload and then adds tax again at the order level, causing every order to appear double-taxed. This flows directly into connected accounting software. I reported this in August 2025. ChannelEngine's Senior Support Engineer confirmed the bug in writing on the ticket in September 2025, identifying the exact field mapping error. ShipStation acknowledged in October 2025 that the issue had been escalated to their development team. As of April 2026 — 9 months later — it has not been fixed. I escalated directly to ShipStation's \[sensitive content hidden\] and Auctane's \[sensitive content hidden\] as well as 2 \[sensitive content hidden\] of Engineering this week before going public. Several Auctane executives viewed my profile shortly after — no response. The fix requires changing one field reference in their integration code. The support team is responsive but completely powerless to move this internally. If you rely on accurate order financial data flowing through ShipStation, be aware this issue exists and may affect you.

### "Smooth Sailing for Shipping"

June 7, 2026

5.0

Pros

It's pretty great at consolidating all our shipping labels from different marketplaces. The automation for batch printing is a huge time saver for our daily order fulfillment. We can easily compare carrier rates too which helps keep costs down.

Cons

The interface can feel a bit cluttered sometimes, especially when trying to find specific settings or historical data. It took a bit to figure out how to customise our packing slips just right, and the mobile app isn't quite as functional as the desktop version.

Cons

### "If you ship products, Shipstation is the way to go!"

August 8, 2024

5.0

This program suits our business perfectly. We are a manufacturing company and we ship daily. It keeps you from doubling your workload as your customers information is at your finger tips.

Pros

The detail. It remembers your customers, contains and keeps all of the pertinent information, even if you are just looking for an email address.

Cons

So far, I can’t note out any particular con, as it performs exactly the way I need it too. When you ship products, it saves so much time.

### "Good Platform to work on your e-commerce orders. "

April 14, 2023

5.0

Works great to get all your orders fulfilled. We are very satisfied with that aspect. We do not intend to change away from it.

Pros

The easy to gather all the orders from different selling channels into one tool. No extra entering of shipping information and I like how it does verify all your addresses.

Cons

The Magento Module has issues. Live Rates do not just transfer from Shipstation to the website. It ends up being $0 for shipping that gets charged to our customers. I had to deactivate that functionality.

### "ShipStation is a good platform that is well on it's way, Needs more for B2B support."

July 19, 2023

4.0

If we can work out the Kinks with Ship From Locations we will be able to easily ship to multiple supported carriers without additional development time for unique integrations from each company into our Custom Order Entry Software.

Pros

Initially Importing Orders with little setup time using the XML integration helped us import orders using our custom Order Entry Program in a two-day time frame. It is also easy to add in supported carriers providing you have the required information. Automatic Notifications and returns support is a great added feature.

Cons

The missing value for B2B customers is missing support for Blind Shipping, in our case, we only update the company name in the ship at this time which we are unable to do in ShipSttion, the recommended workaround was to re-enter 2500+ resellers in each location as a unique Ship From Location. (We have 3) Alternatively we can tax our shipping employee with entering them with each new shipment. Otherwise, I think the lack of bulk importing these Ship From Locations makes things a little worse off. I am hopeful that more features will be released with B2B and Dropship customers in mind.

Reason for choosing ShipStation

I have heard good things about Shipstation. it would just seem that it is more geared towards smaller B2C stores at this time.

### "No Thrills Shipping"

February 17, 2022

5.0

Overall happy, happy, happy! We recommend ShipStation to all our clients who look to do DropShipping with our company. The platform is easy to use and our warehouse staff uses it daily without any complications.

Pros

We love the fact that ShipStation can tap into multiple carriers and give us options to ship. We also like the process of preparing shipments to international destinations as ShipStation takes care of creating Custom Forms that are part of the process.

Cons

We don't like the way ShipStation integrates with the small size label printers as it doesn't give us options to adjust printing margins. ShipStation's features to adjust inventory levels for products could be redundant as we manage inventory of products with different solutions.

### "Test your shipping software - they're not all made the same"

March 15, 2018

5.0

I moved from Stamps.com and cut my shipping and customer service time by 80%. I adopted this software at ~15 packages per day because it was more expensive than Stamps.com. Bad move!!! Pay extra for ShipStation from the start.

Pros

I've used ShipStation, ShippingEasy, ShipWorks, Stamps.com, Ordoro, and SolidCommerce with a few clients. My two favorite are ShipStation and ShippingEasy. They both have different strengths - sweat the small stuff because it really makes a difference if you're shipping 200+ packages a day. It's worth using two or more systems and then picking the best. The time spent is worth the effort. I use ShipStation for managing the shipping and customer service from my website, Amazon, Walmart, Jet, Ebay, and Etsy. The application is rock solid. Creating manual orders is simple, as is importing orders and combining shipments. I like that I can place orders on hold and setup future shipments. Other vendors like ShippingEasy cannot do this (yet). We get a fair number or orders that have a bad address and we're able to put orders on hold until we hear back from the customer. This shipping rules and kitting options are fairly robust. It is easy to identify return customers (this is something not done well by other platforms). The UI is very buttoned-up. ShipStation also has a superior "Search Customers" function that will search on 3 and 4 part names, city, state... Some of the other vendors fail here. Having good search reduces customer service time.

Cons

There are some things that ShippingEasy does better - e.g. they're a single page application and that means that the interface is super fast. ShipStation is slower as you mover around in the interface. I wish that ShipStation could manage my inventory across marketplaces and I'm in love with how some of the other vendors solicit reviews using marketing/email automation. I hope someday that vendors like ShipStation will also connect to Auth.net or Stripe.com so that we can Auth and Settle New Manual Orders. It takes a bit longer to learn ShipStation but if you're running a larger/complicated business you'll come to appreciate the power that comes with the complexity.

### "Not perfect but very good"

January 29, 2017

4.0

I was impressed with options you have in this software to speed up shipping proces. I sell in multiple platforms ( eBay, amazon, and my own ecommerce store) and ship station import all orders into one place. No more login into each of them and ship from there I also ship with multiple carriers ( USPS and FedEx) and there is where ship station is handy I am using stamps.com for 5+ years and I ma very happy with it but stamps will not work with FedEx so I had to sort out orders by shipping method and ship USPS packages using stamps.com and than log into FedEx to ship remaining orders from there. FedEx software it terrible ( on line fedex.com and their shop software ) that it actually increase my shipping time that I was considering to drop FedEx shipping method from all stores. Ship Station make shipping much easier if you use multiple carriers and this is why I use it

Pros

1) Import orders from multiple ecommerce platform 2) One software for multiple shipping carriers and method 3) Great email notification for clients, multiple options of emails and multiple templets 4)inventory tracking many other good futures

Cons

1) Depend on package you have with ship station support can take long time to answer your question. No phone support for any users and only email support for lowest package. This is not acceptable. When I need to ship and I have issue I need to call somebody and fix problem ASAP. If you send email you can wait who know how long to resolve issue. Live chat is available only for selected ship station clients ( base on how much you are paying = selected package of ship station) and it may take very long time to actually chat with somebody ( we are talking hours in some cases before you are at top of chat queue ) 2) you have to press button to read package weight if you have scale attached. This is very annoying if you ever used software with automatic scale. You place package on scale and software already know what you shipping. ( or alarm you when scale is 0 = nothing on scale ). I had packages returned because I did not press "read" scale button and package was over weight compared to postage purchased. Same goes the other way. You pay more for postage if your package is less than what you estimate in your ecommerce platform. 3) FedEx international shipping has big problem. Ship station does not print commercial invoice for international packages. You technically can print label but than you have to go to FedEx and fill out commercial invoice form. I do not understand why it can not be printed at the same time with label. All info is already available ( item, price etc) on ship station after importing order. Ship Station print all required paper work for USPS international packages 4) address verification is not strong future on a software . I am comparing it to a stamps.com again. If client place wrong address on a form ship station will tell you that address is not valid but will not tell you what is wrong and will not suggest correction. Stamps.com will suggest correct zip code , street name , apartment number if it is missing etc. Ship station will only tell you " invalid apartment number" or "apartment not found" 5) international imported addresses create issue sometimes if client used other than English address form. German , Japanese, Spanish language use soft punctuations and different letters like ~ or ę ó ś ć and many similar. Ship station when import such address create strange characters replacing original with something like @##@$%% and if you print it I can guaranty package will not be delivered to a clients since local post office will not recognize street name or town. 6) some countries are not recognized by ship station as international address. Republic of Ireland is not recognized. If client place that name on order form Ship station assign USA address to it. Since this is official name if country my client always put it than way and not Ireland in Country section. They would have to put Ireland instead ( Ireland in country field create correct international destination) Same goes to United Kingdom but England will be correct ( it may be few others - just do not remember )

### "ShipStation customers need to beware"

October 6, 2022

1.0

Horrible. It started off with every feature working great, until two months later when they rolled out "new version"s that removed or broke most of what we used the software for. Customer Service responded months later to my accounting outage just to say they werent going to do anything.

Pros

OMS, carrier, product, inventory and integrations

Cons

Everything. There isn't a single feature in ShipStation they haven't changed in the last two years and made worse. Integrations are broken and the team doesn't work on them. Order Management has become barren of features as they remove things instead of fixing them. You can't trust that a feature you rely on will be maintained. Customer Service group is absolutely worthless and the development team doesn't work on any request. The forums are a joke. Tons of people with tons and tons of people supporting their bug reports, feature requests, etc. and all being completely ignored by ShipStation.
