July 20, 2020 5.0 Pros I run a massage studio, so finding qualified massage therapists in my area that is lacking in massage schools is a constant challenge for me. I needed to hire new therapists quickly and was coming up short on other platforms like Indeed and Facebook. I posted my job to Betterteam on a Monday and by Tuesday already had 3 applicants -- I hired two of them by the end of the week! 10/10 would recommend and use again. I love how they amplified my job posting literally EVERYWHERE and made it easy for me to get the word out in many different platforms. Thank you, Betterteam! Cons I wish there was a way I could view the resumes of qualified applicants and do a bit of head hunting on my own. I still have my Indeed membership so I can seek out possible applicants for a future position, but have not posted my job listing there anymore. I wish Betterteam allowed me to do the same. Hiring Manager Automotive Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Extremely Unimpressed - Mediocre product and customer support" September 28, 2021 2.0 I chose to try betterteam after a colleague recommended them. He said that his company had received multiple candidates from local job boards that BT works with. My experience was not so great. I paid the $99 for a month of service to try it out, and only got FIVE candidates, 4 of whom were completely unqualified. Furthermore, I could have gotten applications from the same 5 candidates had I just posted my own job ad on Indeed. I first contacted customer support to clarify package/pricing information because the website was so confusing. They advised me that the current package/pricing information on the website is completely incorrect and gave me all of the new information via live chat after I waited about 15 minutes for an attendant to respond. Live chat seems to be the only way to contact support for Betterteam, and the attendant I'm currently chatting with is located in the Philippines. I'm not impressed AT ALL. Maybe this software will work better for your business or industry, but it has been entirely unhelpful to me. Pros It's extremely easy to post a job. You just post the listing on Betterteam's website and they feed it out to all of the other job boards. Cons The pricing packages on the website do not at all match the current subscription/service offerings, which makes it very confusing to evaluate the potential costs/benefits as a prospective subscriber. The only candidates I received were from Indeed(where I can post for free on my own), and Betterteam even closed my indeed job ad several days before my paid subscription expired. The product was mediocre to begin with, but not even getting the full month that I paid for is unacceptable. I had a few people from their team reach out to me to check in and answer questions. Also, we did receive many applicants. Cons The position we were filling was a remote position with in Saskatchewan and we did receive many out of province applications. It would have been a good option to exclude other provinces; however with that said, it was useful to see the interest from other provinces for when we want to expand in the future. The responses come right into your mailbox so no need to go to the site and the resumes all have phone numbers and emails---easy peasy Pros easy to use, good customer service, no cost (I used the free trial). January 5, 2018 5.0 Pros Our work load is constantly changing and we could need more staff at a moments notice and Betterteam has allowed us to post a job one day and have hundreds of applications in our inbox the very next day. Whenever we have run into a problem or had a question (even before we signed up) their customer support has been supportive and gotten us an answer or corrected the issue within 24 hours. I would reccomend this service to anyone looking to hire new staff. Cons The only complaint we have had about this software is that we get a lot of repeat applicants who are not actually looking for work but are just applying everywhere for unemployement purposes. I wish that there was a way for Betterteam to divert applications that we had marked as declined previously in our earlier job listings. Review Source Karen M. May 8, 2018 5.0 Was able to hire a great candidate much more quickly than if I had to manage multiple job boards myself. Pros We needed to fill one position, so I used the one-week free trial. The interface was slick and easy. We got about 100 applications for an admin/bookkeeper position within a week. The applications were of varying quality, but that's nothing to do with Betterteam -- that's just the "click to apply" world we live in now. (About a tenth of the applicants bothered to write a cover letter -- come on people!) We were able to fill the position with a great candidate without going to a paid version, but next time we need to hire someone I'll definitely go back to Betterteam -- hopefully we'll start growing enough that we need the paid service! Right now it's fine if you're using a spreadsheet to track candidate process for a limited number of open roles. " November 7, 2022 5.0 Pros It was a one-click away type of software wherein I don't need to be subscribed to a lot of job portals since all I need is to be subscribed in Betterteam. User interface was also easy to adapt into and I was always notified of any new applicant that has passed their resume/CV via email. Another thing that I appreciate was the leads I got! They were more or less qualified for the role but I had to get someone who was close to our area. Other than that, they all had good skills set and experience. Cons 1) I wish that we could manually set the area where we would want to hire candidates. 2) I also wish to integrate the progress I have made in the software to my Gmail account where I mostly email the candidates on the what they should do on the next step on the pipeline. 3) If it is feasible, a "prepaid" option would also be appreciated instead of a monthly/annual subscription. Reaching to candidates in remote locations, to fulfill special hiring needs. Makes the job done, easy. Once you publish your job post, you just need to focus on your real work of interviewing candidates. You don't need to learn multiple systems to publish to different websites. Cons At the time of my first job post, I felt a bit not so straightforward (at least for me) how to customize the look of the job post, I needed some testing, but then it worked fine (it is why I left 4 out of 5 stars for "Ease of Use") . I've used the big competitors and cancelled all memberships after using this group...I did the free-trial expecting a big drop-off in service once I signed up. That is not the case, the resumes except coming!!! Cons We are a small company and only needed to post for 1 position. However, to get the service we needed, we went with 3 job posting subscription.
