The customer service is amazing. The software itself was very simple and easy to use Pros I specialize in production management as well as project management and Deltek’s performance and speed backed up my business, and an excelled us to greatness especially with managing customer information . The value of money that you spend is worth it for this software Cons Deltek’s implementation time took about 12 weeks which wasn’t horrible, but I would’ve preferred for it to be done a little faster. Needs a total overhaul. Please, for the love of God, hire a competent designer to overhaul how this thing works, because right now using it is the worst part of my entire month. I would quit a job if this was the system they were using. Fortunately I'm only using it on a specific contract which means I can look forward to the day when I never have to use it again. Pros It worked 20% of the time, and I suppose it is helpful for people who need the reports done in a certain way. But for the end user, there are almost zero "pros". Cons It is a prime example of what happens when engineers try to be designers and end up creating a UI/UX that looks like something built for Windows 3.1. I think that's incredibly important for the employer. Cons One thing I don't like about Deltek is how specific it is. At least in my experience, it doesn't allow up to two decimal points on the timesheet. This normally wouldn't be a problem, but whenever I track it, it would tell me that it can't track it because it differs from what I put in. For instance, if I worked 7.75 hours, I would try to track it as 7.7 or 7.8, but it won't accept it. It has improvements from the previous Deltek software the company previously used. This version is good for usage overall as it allows time keeping for hour worked as well as time off requests. Pros When logging in to Deltek Costpoint, it is easy to log in as your username is saved and it does not require a password entry. It is one less step to complete when trying to sign in for work. Cons I must refer to the user manual each time I enter a leave request. It is difficult to remember where to access the information.
