Pros The segmentation and targeting across multiple platforms like SMS, WhatsApp, Push Notifications is very easy to use and also very accurate. Multiple vendors are supported for SMS, WhatsApp, Email and RCS, allowing us to choose from the most cost-effective solutions, and also track data across all sources through callback reports. Cons The push notification delivery rates in CleverTap are somewhat low for Android devices manufactured by certain Chinese mobile companies. Pretty versatile platform with different sending, messaging, and targeting options. Cons The analytics could be more robust... some reports I want aren't available from the analytics dashboard. For example, I can't pull a consolidated report of a particular triggered event across a defined set of push campaigns. Also, the process of searching for attributes is done via a dropdown list, which is inefficient. I wish I could just search for attributes that I'm looking for. Would save me some time. Customer Support has been exceptional when issues have arisen as well as our CSM being on-hand for as a reliable source of information as well as providing excellent guidance and brainstorming to add to current marketing efforts. Cons As with any transition, ensuring seamless messaging through that phase had a couple of hiccups. We've encountered a couple of technical bugs but have been happy with response from both support and the leadership team and have had no issues for months. Pros We initially chose Leanplum because of the breadth of channels Leanplum was able to push marketing automation through. They have a significant feature set which led us to chose Leanplum as a provider over others that were more restricted in their feature set. A/B testing in Leanplum was particularly good and that also was a big influence in our decision given the amount of testing we needed to do at that stage. Cons Leanplum UI/UX was not user friendly and it was regularly an issue as an early stage company without a dedicated resource to power the tool. In reality, with Leanplum, you must have a sophisticated marketing team that has the maturity with dedicated resources to ensure you get the most from the platform. Otherwise, it is difficult to extract that value which makes it harder to justify the significant investment. Not able to add webhook in the UI Once you add a webhook you can not modify or delete the webhook. January 9, 2023 4.0 Pros Leanplum is an innovative way to better track and understand how end consumers use your product, especially if it is a software. I use Leanplum to do A/B testing in our mobile app and it is really helpful because through this tool, we would know how to measure the traffic of the end consumer in our application, and that way, we understand what people like and don't like about our product. Leanplum can be used in different app's environment and that's a great way to start liking it! Cons None! I think this software is good as-is. It was nice to not have to build custom automation. The events and custom attributes work well. Cons We had to build custom python integrations to get all the functionality we needed. Testing certain features can be cumbersome. Searching for users is often difficult. The Engineering support team at Leanplum was rather lackluster. It's worked well for me for those features, and I also have seen the product improve in a short amount of time. I also have appreciated the customer support team offering timely assistance whenever I need it. Pros Clevertap offers a lot of the same features of marketing automation platforms like Braze & Leanplum for a much more affordable price, and is startup-friendly for that reason. I especially love the email automation features and the ease-of-use for campaign creation. Cons There are some UX/UI features that lack ease-of-use, like date & time pickers or the journey creation pages. I also find saving draft work should be done automatically, as there's been a few times that I've been working on something only to lose the progress I've made if the page wasn't saved and I returned to it a few hours later. Pros I like how Leanplum makes it easy to group messages in a campaign into a folder or a series of messages. It's also very easy to see the engagement level of a group/campaign as well as engagements on a single message. I also like the file management system - it seems simple but it is nice to have files stored in-app ready to be dropped into a campaign or message. Cons Searching for messages by content be a little tricky if you have a lot of them. Otherwise though I have nothing negative to say about Leanplum! Review Source Keyur S. The results have been amazing. Analytics and engagement in a single package is wonderful. It's quite easy to segment users based on what they have done on the website and that too real time. Their funnels are the best I've seen - it is possible to set it up within a few seconds. Also, their new Flows feature has helped us understand where exactly the user dropped off and what actions were performed right before that. We have used web pop ups and emails extensively. They have a fantastic customer success team that has been very responsive to all our calls and emails. Cons The focus is more on Mobile Applications than website while we use it mainly for our web products. However, the good part is their product and support team takes feedback positively and tries to accommodate our feature requests. Review Source Deepa K. As a result we are able to increase our user retention. Cons CleverTap is far more expensive tool than others. The time taken to train my team about the usage of this tool was not much due to the good design functionality. The process of doing analysis and then creating a segment out of it and then setting up a campaign is very smooth and fast one a user gets used to it. September 5, 2017 5.0 Pros It's quite easy to get up and running with and you can start tracking user events up front. It was easy to set up tracking uninstalls as well We also really like how you can create these campaigns to show in app custom popups without pushing any code. Additionally, we find the ability to drill down into the user's timeline of app events pretty useful to identify issues with the work flow and how to improve the UX. Even though this is about the software, we have to add that they have a very helpful team. There's a wonderful person by the name of Sumitra, who gave us the support we needed. All in all, very useful ! Cons Some dashboard sections could have been a bit better defined. For example, we'd like to have seen uninstalls easily and then quickly identify who uninstalled. Similarly, i wish you could have the ability to create a view of the most important metrics and the dashboard would default to those settings when you logged in.
