Pros

has allowed me to keep all our performance conversations and documentation in one place. Before, we were using spreadsheets and google docs and it was very messy and easy to lose sight of the feedback. Now everything from goals progress to review notes is all within one dashboard which you save hours of time and makes performance discussions much more structured and data driven.

Pros

Mostly review cycles and tracking our employee goals throughout the year and I really like how organized everything feels and it is really nice to have each review cycle clearly laid out and I don’t have to chase down my managers to update me on where everyone stands. I also created a form for collecting peer feedback prior to our review cycle and it contributed to a more balanced and equitable feelings about the evaluation.

Cons

I appreciate how the admin interface has been designed, though I understand that it may feel a bit uncomfortable to some users particularly when it comes to setting up review templates and changing questions mid cycle and when goal tracking and review could be streamlined to fewer clicks. Those things may feel a bit cumbersome but I do not believe it significantly detracts from efficiency.

### "Good products don't need to hold you hostage"

Seemed good during the demo but after signing up we found it lacking in the functionality we needed. It's clunky and not intuitive. My team did not find the value in it we hoped when we demoed it. We tried to use it for a few months and my team didn't see the value in it and did not want to use it. It took more time and effort than the benefit we saw. We paid for a year in advance and chose not to renew the contract. They then informed us that we had a 3 year NON CANCELABLE contract and are trying to force us to pay thousands per year for 2 more years for a product we don't use or find value in. What does this say about the company? Thats as terrible of an experience as any company can provide. . If a product provides value we'd keep using it. Evidently they think holding customers hostage and forcing them to pay whether they find value in the product or not is a good way to do business. It is not!! Only companies whose products or services are weak need to try to force contracts like this. We signed up in good faith thinking the product was more useful than it turned out to be. Its just crazy that they are trying to force us to pay for something we don't use or want. Buyer beware. There are tons of competitive products that do more, cost less and are willing to prove their value rather than depend on the dishonest and poor service business model that depends on holding people hostage.

Pros

It seemed like it would be useful but it was not for us. The demo looked like what we were looking for but it did not match our needs. We paid for a year and tried to use it but did not find value. They are now trying to force us to pay for 2 more years for a product we don't use. Thats as low as it gets for a business. You only see what they want to show you in a demo. Its dishonest to force people to pay for a product you don't use. We would never have signed up had we known.

Cons

Not intuitive. Clunky to use,lacking scheduling ability, reporting is poor, was not as useful as expected. Company depends on forcing contracts rather than providing value.

At least I don’t have my OKRs lost in a dead/spreadsheet anymore. At least my 1:1s are all in one spot (it feels a lot stiffer than just using a normal document). At least HR isn’t bugging me as often because they can see my progress without asking them.

Pros

I like that everything (the reviews and the OKRs) are in one place so I don’t have to have a thousand tabs open. I was surprised how well the AI tool helped with writing feedback, most of these tools sound like they were written by robots.

Cons

The mobile app is pretty bare bones, it really does very little. I have no idea why I’m getting manager training videos on my dashboard, I’m the Co-Founder , it makes zero sense. I feel like it is very plain and after a while it gets really dull and boring to fill out the forms.

My overall experience with has been positive, especially because its a comprehensive performance management solution that transforms our evaluation processes, enabling us to achieve our goals. Its excellent, and I would definitely recommend it.

Pros

I like the flexibility in the process design and I value the ability to adapt and supplement the forms and evaluation cycles to align them, and I love its interface, its totally intuitive.

Cons

For now, I dont like is the employee synchronization with HRIS systems. bu the rest of the platform works well and I like it.

Pros

I really like flexibility, and as a human resources manager, its important to me because it allows me to manage multiple types of assessments within the platform, which saves a lot of time and also allows me to tailor feedback to the actual needs of the team.

Cons

So far, what I dont like is the customization, because we need options and I see it as limited. thats the only negative.

Nothing. There is noting good about this company. They value money over helping their customers. Do not contract with them.

Terrible customer service, force you into a 3 year contract with no exit. Do not use them you will regret it.

Our overall experience has been very positive. As a growing company, we very much needed a mechanism to ensure that goal setting and feedback was occuring on a regular cadence on a company wide basis. We also wanted a platform to recognize co-workers efforts on a company wide basis. Ensuring feedback happens and is documented is invaluable for employee growth. The feedback from employees has been great. Many of them are coming from large companies with mature performance management processes and have indicated they think is a superior product - more updated, easier to use and better features.

Pros

The User Platform is easy to navigate and understand. Creating forms and launching review cycles is simple once one learns the basics. I really appreciate the Gmail single sign on. I love the recognition feature. Our CSM has been amazing - accessible, helpful and very attentive. Having our performance reviews managed through the platform has been a huge benefit and needed for the engagement and growth.

Cons

I have not found any things I dislike about the software to date. On my wishlist for product improvements - a visually appealing Org Chart option. That would be awesome and very helpful!

Reason for choosing PerformYard

We choose for a number of reasons. It had an updated, cool feel. Engaging UI. Good balance of simplicity, usability, and customization. Ability to streamline the review process, to gather actionable insights from the reviews and allows for real-time feedback to be given/received. Complete support, setup, and training at no additional cost. The sales experience was awesome, and the CEO even talked to our CEO which sealed the deal. The price was much more competitive than out #2 choice Reflektive. Given that we are a start up and still a relatively small organization at 135 employees, the competitive pricing was very important to us. "

Our primary goals when we selected (with staff's input as well as management's) were to have a flexible platform to assess everyone's performance in terms of job expectations, competencies and SMART goals as well as to provide staff with the ability to provide feedback or updates to their goals or performance as often as they wished. Both goals are being achieved.

Pros

From Day 1 we were impressed with the personalized and prompt support. Our Customer Success Manager was knowledgeable, able to show us how to utilize to meet our unique needs, and very responsive when deadlines loomed.

Cons

Light colored and small lettering on a white background makes reading challenging for users. Some icons or where they're placed are not intuitive.

Reason for choosing PerformYard

We did an apples-to-apples comparison using over two dozen items/criteria, such as ability to customize reports. After creating a form with instructions and a brief description about the organization and our request, we asked each vendor to let us know whether they had each item and provide comments if desired. We picked the two or three vendors that met the highest number of items/criteria, then asked each to conduct two web-based, interactive demonstrations: one to representative staff from each department and one to managers. Staff decided on their preference which the managers agreed to.

I like the one stop shopping. It combines employee information, performance review, goals and feedback. I also appreciate the spell-checker and email reminders.

Cons

Although the webapp is fairly easy to use I was a little confused on editing or updating the Goals.

Pros

First and foremost, our Customer Success Manager \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] was fantastic and made it so that the implementation of Perform Yard into our company was seamless. She took the time to meet with us numerous times via phone to make sure we understood everything, go more in depth if we had any questions, etc. I appreciated the help through the set up of Perform Yard as well as the resources they have on their website that provide step by step instructions. The functionality of the program is also great and definitely streamlines the process of quarterly check ins and annual performance reviews in our company. We also like that we are able to create measurable and attainable goals for our employees in the goals section and the employees are able to go in update those goals to show their progress. So far everything has been great and we hope to expand our use of Perform Yard within our company!

Cons

I have no complaints at this time, only recommendation we did have was that it'd be nice for managers to to have a section to select their employee and see all past reviews, goals, feedback (private and public) vs having to go into their profile or filter by the employee in each different section. It'd be nice to just have that overview in one section. But other than that it's been great so far!

I really appreciate \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] who is the Customer Success Manager. She was available to answer my questions which often included videos, documentation and words of encouragement.

Pros

From an end user perspective it is easy to use. From a leadership perspective I like that I can quickly add employee notes which made performance reviews much easier. From and Administrator point of view I like how easy it is to add/edit employee records.

Cons

As a leader I find the creation of goals and tracking progress a tad confusing. As an Administrator the creation of forms, understanding groups and setting up/maintaining review cycles/calendars isn't intuitive. Had I been involved from the beginning when this software was chosen the process would likely have been easier.

Reason for choosing PerformYard

I was not involved in the project to identify a performance management system so I am not aware of what other systems we considered.
