Payroll and Benefits Manager Consumer Services Used the software for: 2+ years ### "2+ User of ADP/WorkForceNow" August 27, 2019 4.0 The most significant benefit for our organization is the reduction of paper flying between facilities. As our managers have become more and more comfortable with WFN we've been able to move away from paper to electronic delivery and processing. The biggest time saver, and I believe improvement in communication, has been using the on line time off request function. This year end we will also be implementing electronic delivery of W2s. Pros WFN is, for the most part, intuitive for day to day operations. Time clock adjustments, change of status, report production -- the daily interaction and typical use is easy to learn and to train on. When I have a problem or something I'm not familiar with customer service support, especially the reporting group, is very patient and helpful. Cons The constant "updates" cause problems. It seems these are done over weekends so when I come in on Monday it's not uncommon to run into unexpected delays; what worked on Friday doesn't work Monday morning. As an example, the most recent update required a code for Health Care Eligibility Date in the Tax Section of the New Hire module. It was impossible to locate this code and required a call to customer service. Unfortunately my account manager was only vaguely familiar with this new requirement and it took about 20-minutes on the phone to work out what was needed, the 'why' of the need and what the random code signified is still not clear. The frequency of the updates along with the scope make it difficult to keep up. Review Source Taraiya D. Senior Payroll Generalist Education Management Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Great payroll platform, easy employee access" November 30, 2020 4.0 I add new hires, policy assignments, monitor and adjust time off when necessary, work under utilities doing imports of hours, and use the reporting function daily. Pros I like that ADP continuously works to update the system and keep us up to date on current changes in tax laws. I also like the ease of using the reporting feature to build, edit reports you your own specification is great. I also like the standard Batch of PR reports that’s provided. The ADP training materials are also spot on as well as the payroll representative the response time to solving an issue or follow up has been great. Our rep seems to be well versed across ADP and always helps us correct an issue and provide guidance when are faced with having to implement new policy changes, etc Cons The only thing I don’t like is not being able to correct a note when making adjustments within time off , you will have to make a new adjustment to correct the error. Director, Content Public Relations and Communications Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "We love ADP Workforce Now for recruiting staff" April 28, 2022 5.0 We have found this software very useful, as it has helped us in the human resources department, in the whole process of staff recruitment, which is a long and cumbersome process, but with ADP Workforce Now this process is simpler, faster and more effective to select the ideal candidates for the different job positions. Pros Integration with social media and website is very important, as we can place candidate applications on those platforms directly from the software. The interview and assessment management, allows us to make the selection much faster and evaluate more fluently and effectively. Excellent resume analyzer, which has helped us to discard those that do not meet the requirements. A fairly simple to use software, which has the ability to manage applications and job postings, efficiently and quickly. It allows the human resources department to complete recruitment tasks quickly, efficiently and with better performance. Cons Some emails go to spam, which has prevented us from properly screening candidates. It could be an expensive software for small companies that are starting in the field. I think marketing has a lot to do with why people go with ADP. The fact that 1 in 6 checks are cut through ADP’s payroll in the US keeps people coming to ADP as an HRIS in my opinion. Pros I like the set up of the Employment Profile tab. Sometimes it is nice how ADP has a lot of information displayed on one tab. ADP has really in depth reporting features that can capture historical data easily. Cons My biggest con about ADP is how not user friendly many basic tasks are. For instance, the fact that employees offer letters aren’t configured to be in each employee profile drives me nuts. You have to go to the applications tab and search by name in order to even view the offer. Also the fact that you can’t have multiple tabs open in ADP can be such a frustrating pain when you are trying to compare information between employees. I really like how in Zenefits you could have many open tabs which streamlined a lot of administrative tasks which are very cumbersome to complete in ADP. May 29, 2022 5.0 Pros \- The both visual and textual breakdown of your paycheck by rate, taxes, and overtime makes it very quick and easy to view the details of your latest and past paychecks at a glance. - Interface was reasonably user friendly, I could figure out where I needed to go after one or two tries basically all of the time - The tracking of your punches was very thorough; love the details timestamp and hourly breakdown, made it easy for me to track how long I'd been on shift Cons \- The quick punch-in/punch-out clock on the mobile app was glitchy. If you forgot to exit the quick punch window after punching in, then the next time you went to punch out would say that you punched in AND out at the same time, which made for quite the messy timecard that I had to consistently request to fix. But once you learn the trick, you're good to go! - It's difficult to find past documents I've signed or past tasks I've completed. It's non-intuitive, and hidden behind a couple different layers of buttons. Review Source MM Megan M. Owner Printing Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Most Reliable Payroll Company on the Market" December 28, 2021 5.0 Pros We used ADP for years, and the switched a couple years back to try other options. There were all these new and shiny companies trying to woo us and we thought maybe they were better. We were wrong. ADP is hands down the best payroll management company we have used. We just enter in the total hours worked for each employee and their software does the rest. We don't have to worry about taxes and wage garnishment and child support. And we don't have to worry about W2s and direct deposits. Employees can login to their own accounts and see their history and get their records. They make running a business just a little easier, which is appreciated. Cons There is one thing I didn't like about ADP, and it's small and silly by so annoying. When you go to enter in an employee's hours the Overtime box is not next to the regular hours box. Salary is in between. So you enter 40 hours of regular time, TAB to enter Overtime and it takes you to salary instead of OT. Why?? Someone getting paid hourly and OT isn't getting salary. Why are they next to each other? Reason for choosing ADP Workforce Now ADP is easier to use on a weekly basis, and easier to navigate for both HR and each employees account. Requesting PTO and adjusting time is very intuitive. Requests for time off and approvals for time adjustments is very fluid. Pros I'm a big fan ADPs payroll process. This platform makes it really easy to access my paystubs and information on where my money is going once I get paid. The tool provides a pie graph that illustrates where your money goes, which is extremely helpful. Cons Customer service. This platform is very easy to use but I noticed that it takes a long time to hear from the ADP team. Our organization had to hire someone to manage any issues with the platform. February 12, 2021 5.0 Overall it makes everything a lot easier. If I need to gain access to previous paystubs and tax documents, they are all saved in an easy-to-find location. It's easy to log my hours and I get notifications if I didn't enter my time correctly. Requesting time off couldn't be any easier. It's a very interactive tool that has made my life a lot easier! Pros I love how easy it is to navigate and to request time off. It takes managing all current and future tasks in one easy system and allows for me to submit requests to my Manager. Logging my hours on a daily basis and viewing all of my paystubs and tax documents are right there at a click of a button. I enjoy using this on a daily basis for all of my employee needs. Cons It requires me to change my password more than I'd like. It's hard for me to remember passwords without saving them someplace unsecure. September 26, 2019 5.0 \- I am only a user and I can only comment on my usage for logging-on, punch-in's and punch-out's and creating time reports for myself. - I know that the system is used to track time for submission to ADP who then generates paychecks and direct deposits. Pros \- It is easy to use once you navigate around a bit. - It allows you to create reports for yourself of the time you put in. - Reports are acceptable to Social Security for compliance verification. - There is an APP for smartphones. Cons \- Sometimes, if you go to a particular screen or function, it is difficult to find your way back to the screen that you started from. - The browser "back" function does not work as you would expect. - Sometimes it warns you that it cannot run because there is another active instance, even though you have signed-off and closed the tab earlier. - It may require the complete clearing of your browser cache to fix previous problem. - It forces you to change your password at regular intervals, even if you don't want to. - If you have trouble entering your password, it will invalidate your account and force you to use the password reset process. - If you forget your password, the process to reset it is cumbersome, finicky and prone to failures or rejections. - It remember too many previously used passwords when changing passwords. - It determines new password validity based on previous passwords and use of similar new passwords is very strict and often denied. I filled my information in when I first got hired, and it took care of the rest ever since. ADP even kept track of my work documentation forward to my next employer (who also used ADP Workforce. It just picked up where we left off. Cons Honestly, the biggest con I can think of is that sometimes the app would get leggy, but it was nothing to bad, and it was NOT a regular occurrence. Pros I have used ADP software for nearly 3 decades and have experienced its growth and expansion. The software is the most user friendly and easiest to learn and for the most part is designed to conducive to the needs of payroll professionals. ADP always seems to be looking for the best ways to tackle a complex software system which includes so many aspects, taxes on Federal, State and Local levels, benefits, time and attendance, not to mention payroll itself and all of the important laws and calculations. It is very important for payroll professionals and their companies to trust an outsourcing software and company to guard them from error, mistakes and penalties. ADP accomplishes better than anyone else in their industry. Cons In July 2017, ADP adopted a new customer service model which has been very poor. Understanding that they need time to work out the kinks, however it has been 8 months and I would still rate the system quite poor.
