May 29, 2022 5.0 Pros \- The both visual and textual breakdown of your paycheck by rate, taxes, and overtime makes it very quick and easy to view the details of your latest and past paychecks at a glance. - Interface was reasonably user friendly, I could figure out where I needed to go after one or two tries basically all of the time - The tracking of your punches was very thorough; love the details timestamp and hourly breakdown, made it easy for me to track how long I'd been on shift Cons \- The quick punch-in/punch-out clock on the mobile app was glitchy. If you forgot to exit the quick punch window after punching in, then the next time you went to punch out would say that you punched in AND out at the same time, which made for quite the messy timecard that I had to consistently request to fix. But once you learn the trick, you're good to go! - It's difficult to find past documents I've signed or past tasks I've completed. Owner Printing Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Most Reliable Payroll Company on the Market" December 28, 2021 5.0 Pros We used ADP for years, and the switched a couple years back to try other options. There were all these new and shiny companies trying to woo us and we thought maybe they were better. We were wrong. ADP is hands down the best payroll management company we have used. We just enter in the total hours worked for each employee and their software does the rest. We don't have to worry about taxes and wage garnishment and child support. And we don't have to worry about W2s and direct deposits. Employees can login to their own accounts and see their history and get their records. They make running a business just a little easier, which is appreciated. Cons There is one thing I didn't like about ADP, and it's small and silly by so annoying. When you go to enter in an employee's hours the Overtime box is not next to the regular hours box. Salary is in between. So you enter 40 hours of regular time, TAB to enter Overtime and it takes you to salary instead of OT. Why?? Someone getting paid hourly and OT isn't getting salary. Why are they next to each other? Reason for choosing ADP Workforce Now ADP is easier to use on a weekly basis, and easier to navigate for both HR and each employees account. May 11, 2022 5.0 I am very pleased with the features and functionality of this solution. Pros The solution makes it easy for employees and supervisors to access and modify time cards. Requesting PTO and adjusting time is very intuitive. Requests for time off and approvals for time adjustments is very fluid. Pros I'm a big fan ADPs payroll process. This platform makes it really easy to access my paystubs and information on where my money is going once I get paid. The tool provides a pie graph that illustrates where your money goes, which is extremely helpful. Cons Customer service. This platform is very easy to use but I noticed that it takes a long time to hear from the ADP team. Our organization had to hire someone to manage any issues with the platform. February 12, 2021 5.0 Overall it makes everything a lot easier. If I need to gain access to previous paystubs and tax documents, they are all saved in an easy-to-find location. It's easy to log my hours and I get notifications if I didn't enter my time correctly. Requesting time off couldn't be any easier. It's a very interactive tool that has made my life a lot easier! Pros I love how easy it is to navigate and to request time off. It takes managing all current and future tasks in one easy system and allows for me to submit requests to my Manager. Logging my hours on a daily basis and viewing all of my paystubs and tax documents are right there at a click of a button. I enjoy using this on a daily basis for all of my employee needs. Cons It requires me to change my password more than I'd like. It's hard for me to remember passwords without saving them someplace unsecure. Using the mobile app I was able to clock in without being at the office so I could start my day directly with clients. Pros I like that I can do everything from fill out my time sheet to getting information about my benefits all in one place. It makes things very simple. I mean it's very useful and easy to navigate. September 26, 2019 5.0 \- I am only a user and I can only comment on my usage for logging-on, punch-in's and punch-out's and creating time reports for myself. - I know that the system is used to track time for submission to ADP who then generates paychecks and direct deposits. Pros \- It is easy to use once you navigate around a bit. - It allows you to create reports for yourself of the time you put in. - Reports are acceptable to Social Security for compliance verification. - There is an APP for smartphones. Cons \- Sometimes, if you go to a particular screen or function, it is difficult to find your way back to the screen that you started from. - The browser "back" function does not work as you would expect. - Sometimes it warns you that it cannot run because there is another active instance, even though you have signed-off and closed the tab earlier. - It may require the complete clearing of your browser cache to fix previous problem. - It forces you to change your password at regular intervals, even if you don't want to. - If you have trouble entering your password, it will invalidate your account and force you to use the password reset process. - If you forget your password, the process to reset it is cumbersome, finicky and prone to failures or rejections. - It remember too many previously used passwords when changing passwords. - It determines new password validity based on previous passwords and use of similar new passwords is very strict and often denied. I filled my information in when I first got hired, and it took care of the rest ever since. ADP even kept track of my work documentation forward to my next employer (who also used ADP Workforce. It just picked up where we left off. Cons Honestly, the biggest con I can think of is that sometimes the app would get leggy, but it was nothing to bad, and it was NOT a regular occurrence. Pros I have used ADP software for nearly 3 decades and have experienced its growth and expansion. The software is the most user friendly and easiest to learn and for the most part is designed to conducive to the needs of payroll professionals. ADP always seems to be looking for the best ways to tackle a complex software system which includes so many aspects, taxes on Federal, State and Local levels, benefits, time and attendance, not to mention payroll itself and all of the important laws and calculations. It is very important for payroll professionals and their companies to trust an outsourcing software and company to guard them from error, mistakes and penalties. ADP accomplishes better than anyone else in their industry. Cons In July 2017, ADP adopted a new customer service model which has been very poor. Understanding that they need time to work out the kinks, however it has been 8 months and I would still rate the system quite poor. Specifically, we were able to setup carrier connections with various benefit providers so we spend less time doing data-entry manually. Their report customization is not simple, but the end result is always what we need. Pros This system is easier to use than our previous HRIS system. The interface is pretty straightforward and well organized. We also use this as our intranet so we are able to house forms, our Handbook, and other resources for employees to access in one convenience location. Also, there is a self-service feature that allows our staff to submit changes to their personal information that goes through an approval process. This has been great because it minimizes the use of paper forms. Cons Some of the reporting features are not too user-friendly, but that is getting better. Also, their customer service is not the best. They switched their model and gave us a dedicated rep. Pros It is user-friendly and easy to pull up employee profiles to get basic information. Cons The report functionality isn't as user-friendly. Reason for choosing ADP Workforce Now We have had ADP for awhile and are a part of a larger group that uses ADP WFN; but we are considering Paycom as an alternative. Review Source Jared D. We don't utilize all the features because they're not necessary for us. Pros ADP works well once everything is setup completely and correctly. The time and attendance feature is linked to the time clock. If the connection is working correctly, it's a great time saver because the clock-in and clock-out times are automatically recorded. As a manager, you only need to review the times and approve the time cards. This makes for quick and easy payroll. The vacation and sick time management feature is also helpful because it keeps track in real-time. You approve time-off and ADP automatically applies it to the employee's allowance. Cons ADP can be buggy at times. Every now and then the time clock needs to be power cycled to refresh the connection if clock-ins and clock-outs don't record correctly. Also, it can be tricky to setup. We've had a few issues with vacation accruals not calculating correctly over time. Can integrate to most General Ledger programs for easy payroll accounting Can set up various departments and reporting structures Very easy to use Employee Self-Service portal - allows you to upload digital forms for employee acknowledgement Integrates with most benefits platforms - to allow for paperless enrollment Can set up a paperless onboarding process, as it has a built-in ATS Cons Implementation is time consuming and expensive - especially if you need customization Training is web-based, so it is difficult to ask specific questions ADP says that they have improved their customer service, but it is still difficult to get answers (and they seem to turn over their reps frequently) Expensive monthly and per payroll costs (compared to other providers), although they do have interesting promotional discounts for new clients. Employees can easily and efficiently access all of their HR information, including pay, taxes, time-off, benefits, employee reviews and more, from anywhere at anytime. I also like the security of the system with the secondary code I need to add from my text each time I sign in. Cons The phone version of ADP Workforce Now doesn't contain all of the features of my online portal that I need to access. It would be very helpful to be able to access the time-off information on my phone- especially when I need to call in sick and I don't want to open a full computer window.
