Office Manager Warehousing Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Clunky and Cumbersome UI Detracts from Otherwise Useful Payroll Tool" December 17, 2018 4.0 While ADP gets the job done, many times it takes multiple attempts and much frustration to reach the point of submittal. Pros My company uses ADP for payroll only. Managing employee files is fairly simple and straightforward. The generated reports are detailed and easy to read. And customer support is mostly competent. Cons While overall the portal is useful and adequately takes care of our payroll needs, at times it can be horribly clunky and difficult to work with. Data input on paydata batches is difficult to maneuver. While the form looks like an excel spreadsheet, it is not nearly as intuitive. You have to use a combination of mouse clicks and keyboard strokes to enter the appropriate data. Figuring out how to appropriately deduct an employee's pay for things like tax levys and court ordered garnishments can be frustrating and headache inducing. I have unfortunately had to spend a lot of time on the phone with customer service trying to figure out how to do things I would consider fairly standard and would expect to be intuitive. Their online support is also frustrating as you have to have a separate log in to access it. Review Source NE Nick E. It is clear and cut without confusing language like some payroll softwares. I do enjoy how if I need to change something on my tax papers I can do it through the software rather than the finance department. I also enjoy the company messages on the home screen Cons The only thing I don’t like about the software is that it often takes a very long time to login to the software. July 25, 2017 4.0 Pros I like that the software has learning bytes, (small videos) or instructions to remind you how to enter specific information if you have forgotten. Cons I wish the software would allow me to see more information from an archive employee such as rate of pay and reason for leaving, instead of having to un-archive to view information for verification's and then archive them back. I would also like my required fields to be programmed in a way that if I miss a box it would highlight and notify me. It will only highlight and notify on standard required fields and not fields we have personalized for our own company needs. Also I would like that on time and attendance more than one person can authorize time. Some companies have 5 department heads who need to review and authorize their employees time and it only allows one person. Last but not least, I would appreciate pricing discount for long term customers. Everytime I'd like to add a new product such as IPay there is always a high installation fee. I was always impressed with how the system works. Pros It’s amazing for hourly employees, tracks clock in/out times instantly. I love how it records PTO as well. As a user, it’s extremely easy and simple to use. Cons Honestly, no complaints! I’ve loved using it and wish that my current organization was using ADP workforce now. Review Source RP Raven P. The upgrades are regular and just get more and more user friendly. Cons It seems like customer support can't keep up with the ever evolving technology and are not knowledgeable so when I do have a question, I don't expect support to help. I shouldn't know more about the software than they do. On rare occasions I get someone great and make sure to provide feedback on that person. But again, that's rare. If you need to go in and change anything it will give a time frame of when to edit anything that needs to be changed. Plus you can download to your phone. Pros I just totally love using ADP. Customers service was nice and I could keep up with my hours at work. Cons You will have to make sure you have everything in place. Which really doesn't take away from the at all. WorkforceNow has really relieved a lot of stress for me. Pros The Time & Attendance, Time Off features are very helpful, and the Self Service Open Enrollment function for Benefits has completely updated our previously manual system. I love that we can deliver required documents to employees through WorkforceNow. The Bridge has also been a huge help when I just have a quick question. Cons I've been working with WorkforceNow for several years, and it has taken me a while to get comfortable with all the features. I know that we are not using everything that is available to us, and it's only because I don't have the time available to learn more about it. But I know that eventually we'll get there. Also, I'd like to see more options/functionality with the portal configuration. It's such a great feature, but it's a little hard to work with when adding images. " August 29, 2019 4.0 Pros Once you know where everything is, this is a fairly easy software to use. It's easy to use it to find your paystubs, apply for time off, and clock in or out. It's nice to have one place that houses everything. Cons For some time it took a while for timecard entries to refresh, but that problem has seemingly been solved, so I don't have any other issues with the software. Pros The UI is fast and can easily be used to look at paystubs and leave information for individuals. The tax forms at year end is at one place and can easily be downloaded or shared. The interface is fast. Cons The leave information is also available but cannot be found easily. Overall, the UI seems clunky and navigation could be improved. But, things can always be fixed or upgraded Pros what i like most of about ADP is the layout Cons ADP, at least with using it for over 4years, i've come across complaints from employees and myself. lots of technical issues, login issues. having to reset password quite frequent. i work with lots of older people , and their main concern is the resetting PW because they don't use ADP frequently. some are just technology illiterate. I really enjoyed the PTO system, made it so convenient to plan vacations with the calendar PTO estimator. Pros ADP responded quickly and updated the information just as quickly. Very user friendly, plus clear instruction on how to perform task. Cons I can't think of anything I disliked about ADP. It was always working and fast to update. Easy to use without any training. WorkforceNow is able to meet these needs. Pros The ability to look up employees and view history about changes to employee profiles is very beneficial. If the user wants detailed reports and understands how to set-up fields, you can generate a number of reports to obtain the necessary information. The report writing team is also very helpful with setting up these reports. Cons There needs to be additional updates to the termination wizard. It is unclear as to why certain sections of the terminated employees' profiles must be terminated i.e. ability to receive direct deposit or future dated time off plans. If the company is terminating the employee, these other actions now become moot.
