We are still waiting for many tools to be developed that were promised 5 years ago when we implemented. Pros Comprehensive HRIS with onboarding and document tracking. Fairly intuitive and easy to use after setup. Cons Scheduling component severely lacking. Also lack of employee communication tools (blast messages). Once you learn how to use it, it definitely makes HR tasks much easier. It saves time for employees and HR teams. There’s also a mobile app, which is great when you need to check something on the go. It’s not perfect, but it does a lot of things well and helps keep everything organized. Pros I like how everything is in one place. You can run payroll, manage benefits, and track time off all in the same place. I can log in, request vacation days, and check see how many hours I had left without having to ask HR. The reports are also really helpful for managers—they show payroll details, employee hours, and any other needed information all right there. Cons The interface isn’t always easy to use. Some menus are hard to find, and it takes time to get used to how the system works. For example, when I first started using it, I had trouble finding my pay stubs and W-2 forms. I still have trouble locating the time off section and just recently attempted to request time off that didn't go through, and had to resubmit my request again. It’s easy to use and intuitively organized, both for logging my own time and reviewing entries as a manager. The layout makes it simple to navigate and efficient to get things done. My only suggestion for improvement would be to display client names instead of numerical codes as it makes reviewing entries more time-consuming than it needs to be. Pros Intuitive and well-organized interface that’s easy to use, with a minimal learning curve for both employees and managers. Cons Client entries display as numbers instead of names, which makes reviewing them a bit time consuming. April 23, 2025 3.0 I have used it in the past for multiple different organizations and would not recommend it. It is designed and geared for large organizations as opposed to small business. Pros The reporting feature was nice, but not optimal. Payroll was easy to process. Cons The cost was absorbingly high for the services we were receiving. We did not have a dedicated representative, so any customer service requests took much longer than needed. It the best one that I have used over the years. Pros The organization of the web site makes it easy to navigate, easy to put in my hours, request time off, and find my pay stubs. Cons There are certain links on the site, that are not being used by our company, so they lead to blank pages, or maybe they are taking so long to load that they just seems like a blank page. Larger companies need the Enterprise options (like iHCM or Vantage) but for smaller businesses, Workforce Now is a great option. Pros It's simple to use but also powerful, with many features - some are even useful! ADP is used by many employers, so it's fairly simple to transition from one ADP system to another. Cons Reporting can be a bit difficult - HR professionals are not generally technical people, so trying to get to grips with complicated reporting tools can be awkward. However, ADP does offer training, and there is also plenty of help online. Customer service is easy to reach if you do have questions as well. Cons I have not found any cons as this is so easy to use that I cannot find a reason not to recommend this to everyone. There are some decent parts of it, but overall, I think there is room for improvement. Pros the mobile app allows users to clock in with face ID making the clock in process simple. I also like the ability to "Quick Clock". Cons ADP is clunky and often lags when internet is anything less than optimal. For those companies considering using the Payroll, HR, and Benefit Segments, it's intuitively designed and easy to implement. Cons Cost and isn't as simple and intuitive as the small business software ADP can provide. This is a complex machine designed to work best in complex environments. The reporting customization was a plus, and the time off tracker was very user friendly for our employees and admin. The payroll experience was the dealbreaker, as our customer support team often gave us faulty advice and made the process cumbersome. Pros The best feature of ADP was the benefit module and support that came with it. The benefit team through ADP would review events, request documentation, and process basically from start to finish. Cons The quality of support at ADP was very frustrating. We went through multiple client support specialists, and we would get varying degrees of support and answers with each person. We also couldn't house both our domestic and international employees in the same platform. And a final thing that is great about ADP Workforce Now is how easy it is to get on to a chat with customer service when I need assistance with something.
