### "Bait and Switch"

The CSR implementing the software was unresponsive and I got login credentials a day before I had to submit payroll. They didn't set up all the tax numbers. So, 2 months later I am having quebec source deductions returned to me. We were told that the system integrates with QBO, it doesn't. We were told that employees could apply for and be approved for time off on line, the portal only allows them to see their paycheques. Paid Time Off can only be accrued and tracked as a % of pay. No tracking possible in the HRIS. The HRIS is only a bunch of templates and some articles. It's a joke. We went from a fully automated system down to a purely manual system that we need to use excel to track all PTO and manually calculate taxes and override in ADP. Plus we cannot use the chat or email support, only phone support that takes 2-3 hrs to access. The sales people disappear once they've sold you a system. They won't return your emails or calls even when you say you will give them more money!!! It seemed like a bait and switch scam. There is no recourse other than to find another payroll system.

Pros

The platform looks nice. Fairly easy to find things.

Cons

Does not integrate with QBO. Does not have a robust HRIS - only a couple templates and some articles. No tracking of any kind. Accrues vacation as a % of pay only. Does not accrue using hours. Portal only allows employees to see paystubs and T4's. Cannot view Paid Time Off accruals through the portal. Cannot apply or be approved for PTO through the portal.

### "Highly functional, easy to use"

Pros

I have found the ADP WorkForceNow application highly functional, easy to use and intuitive. It is easy to organize staff members and search for information, and add and delete information as needed. Great for pulling reports and data.

Cons

I have no cons on this product - updates and added functionality are rolled out frequently enough. Good foundation, great product. I highly recommend.

Paperless onboarding and electronic document storage make finding necessary documents for auditors a breeze and are very easy to setup. The work number helps cut down on the number of VOE's and they are constantly adding new things to their marketplace which integrate easily with ADP.

Pros

If you can dream it up ADP can do it and there will be frequent releases of improvements based on the feedback you provide!

Cons

Sometimes the system is glitchy when an improvement is about to be released

overall it has gone well, their tech support is knowledgeable and friendly. They are respectful as you are learning how to use their software and how it best suits your companies needs.

Pros

I have enjoyed the ease of use when It comes to processing time cards as well as the notifications for PTO,TONP, and Vacation requests. It is brilliant how it calculates the usage to ensure that there are no overages as well as the warning when it is a salary employee who receives different days off that are payed under their contract. Making adjustments are a breeze when a rep forgets to clock out or they had a computer issue that caused a delay. Additionally it lets me see quickly when attendance issues arise.

Cons

I do not really have any, it was a set up issue that we resolved with how our work weeks are calculated.

I would recommend it if you dont want to do your own payroll, doing your own payroll is even more difficult that this software.

Pros

It is easy to use once you get the hang of it, but it takes years to get the hang of it.

Cons

hey are not very friendly to customers that are new to the platform. Your calls are of many and the response time to get help is not fast. Very hard to manage time off, vacation pay etc. You basically have to do it on your own and they just copycat what you have.

Pros

The user (employee) interface is straightforward.

Cons

As an admin, reports are impossible to build unless you attend several training sessions and webinars. Even with training, it's still unnecessarily complicated for practitioners and admin users to take advantage of reports. Also, their structure is very bureaucratic, to an extent that their technical support does not understand their own access control. The responsible officer left my company in March 2021 and I took over from her. Until this day, I often face problems calling support and they deny service because I am not on the list of "authorized users". Every time I need to explain the same story, lose a fair amount of time doing so, just for them to conclude that "I was not included in some specific ADP list". VERY frustrating.

Overall we've had a good experince using ADP, and it's been very helpful to use a nationwide company as we branch out into different markets in other states.

Pros

We have our team use the APD app to clock in and out, and to request time off. I like that I can see everyone's timecard and it's easy to make changes/updates.

Cons

The app often crashes, or takes a very long time to load. This has been slightly annoying as a user and I much prefer the desktop version.

Pros

The product is easy to use. One of the features I like most about ADP Workforce are the detailed charts and graphs that display pay information.

Cons

What I like least about this software is the design of the request for time off function. The look and feel of requests and the types of requests available to users can be improved.

Pros

How easy it is to find paystub and yearly w2 information. Depending on your employer, different portions are enabled. For what was enabled for me, the layout and menus were easy to follow, and they allow you to export documents to pdf from the browser.

Cons

I don't like the password reset policy, and that I can't change it as an end user. Of course this is more of an inconvenience.

Aside from some pages loading slowly, ADP is very simple to use and straightforward.

Pros

ADP takes care of the majority of employee time and benefit tracking needs. It is easy to navigate and keep track of hours and pay and to submit stipends for direct deposit or refunds.

Cons

Sometimes there are bugs when submitting receipts for reimbursements (such as a delayed confirmation email). When clocking in and out, I often have to log in and out and log in again for my ADP homepage to load and allow me to access my timecard.

overall the experience has been great. i feel like i can depend on adp.

Pros

i like the variety of canned reports and the ability to create/modify existing reports. i also like that you can export pretty much everything to excel. and when it becomes difficult to get exactly what you need, the support from the report writers is excellent.

Cons

i dislike some of the confusing aspects of time and attendance (for example the requirement to "note" things is confusing) and it can be difficult to get a quick simple answer for certain information. also the complexity of moving employees between payroll cycles can be complicated. as well is moving moving employees to different states. the part i dislike most is the process of exporting the quarterly reports. i feel like it takes 11 steps.

I/we have enjoy using ADP. We find it is easy to access and manipulate and change the modules to meet our needs.

Pros

I love that I can access ADP on any device I am connected to the internet with. I appreciate that while I am out of office, be it out of state or country, I can still be aware of what my staff may need approved, their schedules, and requested time off.

Cons

We have not experienced any difficulties. In fact when we have questions or needs arise we have received great customer service.

Reason for choosing ADP Workforce Now

ADP was recommended to us and it was within our budget to utilize.

Pros

I like that you can do a lot of things through one website: see your pay, compare past pay periods to the current one, change your tax withholdings, ask for Paid Time Off, and upload goals and Performance Management forms

Cons

A lot of authenticating and having to sign back in, but I guess I understand that for security reasons. Otherwise, the site seems well-designed.

Pros

It makes it easy for our employees to manage their own personal data - like their federal tax information, W2s, and paystubs. Overall, very few issues with ADPs portion of the management. The app and website are all very very user friendly and manager friendly.

Cons

We have to go to our IT/Payroll department to have them reset passwords if someone locks themselves out. I also don't have access as an HR Manager to see what someone entered in the system and still have to go to our our other departments to help. Also it doesnt have state or local tax integration, but that would be helpful in the future.

You can view paystubs and select upcoming w2 function easily no special computer to access which makes it easier for me to view paychecks on weekend

Cons

I have struggled with correct information linking to my account when i first got set up. It definitely takes a little longer than I was use to switching from extensis

I love how easily accessible it is, I can get my paystubs anytime and anywhere. I can also get my W-2 as soon as its submitted

Cons

i do not like the new display, I felt like it was easier to tell if you were clocked in or out before they changed its display, now I have issues with my time.

We are able to process our payrolls 99% of the time without a problem. We all appreciate getting the staff paid on time and correctly.

Pros

I like the ease of report writing. The time and attendance module makes batch creations seamless. You can add lots of extra modules to help with HR , recruiting, staff reviews, etc. , It is a one stop shop. Have not experienced slow down when running large reports like we did with older program. Report writer support is very good and custom reports can be created fairly quick. I love ADP.

Cons

Some updates need to be tested by users first. Programmers have great ideas but user testing would help make sure it works the way we need it to. A service issue with our file feeds did not get resolved. Not sure what the feed could not pick up for our vendor.

Pros

I am a user of this program from the employee side, and I have to say I rarely run in to issues. It is very easy for me to clock in and out from my job. The buttons are large and easy to follow. I love the feature to be able to check my hours and also the pay for each pay period. It is super simple to go in and print pay stubs if I need them!

Cons

Sometimes it goes down for maintenance at inopportune times. However, sometimes you are still able to access the "bonus" login site.

Fast, easy and accurate reporting of payroll.

Pros

Extremely helpful support staff when an issue occurs. Their knowledge base of the software is very evident and if they cannot give you an answer they will call you back with one. Always get a live voice to talk to. No automated diagnostics. User-friendly software. Users can easily find their way around the data even without long training sessions. Love that the modules speak to each other and data does not have to be entered twice (Benefits v Payroll). Love that payroll reports are practically instantaneous. No more waiting a day for payroll reports to be returned.

Cons

Recently had an issue with an employees calculation of GTL and I was told that I needed to override the system. No explanation as to why the system couldn't handle the calculation. Another issue was ADP's calculation of the 401k max company match. Not sure why I couldn't simply input the max number and have ADP bump against that number every payroll. Instead I had to call ADP to manually put the cap. AND I must remember to call them annually when a change is made by the IRS.

At our company, we make use of ADP Workforce Now for various purposes such as Time & Attendance and storing employee documents. We rely on ADP for our 401(k) program, and it links our staff directly to their retirement site. To ensure we compensate our employees correctly for prevailing wage jobs, we use a third-party software called IDI's TimeBank, which works seamlessly with ADP's payroll processing.

Pros

ADP sends carrier information to our carriers when we update coverage in ADP.Open Enrollment - Employees elect online, so there are no paper forms to fill out.

Cons

Playing phone tag would be better than communicating via email.It should be easier to find the right department to fix a specific problem.

Overall my experience has been positive and the payroll processing is always accurate.

Pros

Being able to keep all employment, payroll and benefit information in one software. Also being able to create and run reports using any of this data.

Cons

What I like least is how often updates/upgrades are done that aren't communicated well in advance of them occurring and not being tested well enough to know what other issues the updates/upgrades cause. We just get a process in place that runs smoothly and an update/upgrade breaks something in that process or adds another step or even steps to the process. Another thing that I like least about the software is because it is internet based if connectivity isn't the best changes and processes can take considerably longer to do. Even if I am using the software to look up things or even trying to make a change I will be timed out and have to log back in and start over. I realize this may be for security but it is still irritating.

Some of the features are not user friendly to new users. They had trouble understanding how to use some of the features. The training needs to be a little more detail for them
