Cons extremely difficult to maneuver, not user-friendly at all, difficult to tweak the smallest items, doesn't interface well with other HR tools. query functionality is not intuitive, very challenging to pull meaningful data. December 12, 2019 2.0 It's too hard to use and too much information for required input. Pros You can use this to find an ABUNDANT of information about your company. It's customized so you won't run into anything unfamiliar. Cons It took me a very long time to actually know what I'm doing in there. It's not an easy software to learn. Sometimes it's too much, and it lags. It's always lagging on me. People also don't update it like they should so it seems irrelevant. Lots of customization available. Pros The application has plenty of customization. The PIA has useful options as well the system has various functions related ot modules. Pros This software can do anything! I use it for Accounting, but our entire organization uses it too, including Pay Roll, Human Resources recruiters, and etc. Cons Often when new modules are introduced, it takes a while to get them working right just because it's a massive program. Despite it being a basic tool, it works well, and we plan to keep it for that. Pros My company has used Oracle PeopleSoft for a many years. Our main uses of it include sharing benefits information, new hire resources, compensation history, as well as our talent profile. It's used in-house, and has made it easy for information to be gather (from Oracle database) and disseminated to the employees. Cons My only complaint is that the tool is kind-of old fashioned and basic. There are numerous means of querying information and providing it to the user, so in the grand scheme of things, the tool hasn't seemed that special to me. It also offers reasonable solutions for automated internal controls over financial reporting. Pros I initially was involved in the selection and customization of the PeopleSoft General Ledge for my organization, as a member of the Finance & Accounting team. PeopleSoft offers easy to learn processes for inputting journal entries and running queries and reports. In addition, now that I've moved on to another department - risk management - I can refer to PeopleSoft to understand how various transactions related to insurance claims were accounted for. In addition, I have been pleased with the system capabilities as it relates to internal controls over financial reporting. We set up the system such that journal entries cannot be posted without secondary review and approval. Cons PeopleSoft does require quite a bit of customization to really make it work for an individual organization. I never felt that we were able to get our custom reporting to its full potential, as we just didn't have enough time to focus on it. Pros Centralized information for employees and managers, including career information and trainings. All available for review, printing, performance reviews, etc. Multilanguage is a plus. We use this in order to track and maintain records in order to be prepared for any audits that may come since we are considered a non-profit company. Pros People soft has a lot of features that allow your job to go much more efficiently. This would include automated features that allow you to enter information more efficiently when it comes to repetitive information. Cons Even though there are areas of this software that have nice automated features, there is still too much manual processing that has to be done in this system, or at least the way my company has this system set up. There are certain areas of the system where it wont allow a more efficient process and thus makes the job take longer to perform. Review Source Jessica S. The integration would run overnight from PeopleSoft to CRM and keep both systems in tandem. Cons multi-step to edit. also, if someone made a change it would not keep the historical data, that information was just gone. We had to teach our crm team to track historical data. Pros My school used it to keep track of scholarship and housing information and it worked reasonably well for this purpose. Cons It was not very user-friendly and it would end up being frustrating. It helps to consolidate reports to get an overall picture of where you budget is at for various properties. This is a great software for commercial property management. Pros This program is great for processing of POs. It helps to connect both the original PO to the invoice and then offsets once payment is completed. It has amazing reports that can be run project specific so you always know if you job is on budget. Cons This program can be quite cumber-sum and hard to teach to new employees. Pros It’s pretty simple to use once you get the hang of it. A lot of stuff behind the scenes that seems to be customizable to your company’s needs. As a front end user, I’m able to manage various payments to accounts in multiple departments smoothly. Cons It takes some time to learn everything, and when you’re short staffed it can make you wish it was a mute elf explanatory user experience, but nothing we couldn’t work around. Pros "Academic Information Systems" by Oracle (AIS) has tons of functions and features to sort students by many categories, and to pull relevant information based on a number of features. Degree audits in AIS are simple, and it's easy to see a student's past transcript history. Cons Astra, the room reservation feature, is clunky and requires the user to log in multiple times per hour. Pros It’s good product ,but having experience in cloud based systems you find this very slow,pale interface,not intuitive.i would say only few companies are using it as their legacy. Cons Slow,less intuitive.not user friendly and features are there but difficult to find.its sturdy but very dull user interface. It is a well known system and it does what we need it to with relative ease. Pros It is powerful and has capacity to store all the information we need it to store and integrate with a variety of other systems. Cons It isn't intuitive to use at all. The user really just has to \*know\* what he or she is looking for or else stumble upon it. But once you figure it out, it's relatively easy to use. I wish some of the information was displayed in a more streamlined way, as it requires a lot of clicking from page to page to get information that seems like it should be available in one place. Pros I like being able to take care of HR related things remotely. And I appreciate time keeping, benefits enrollment, etc all being in the same location. Cons It is not very user friendly - I feel like it is hard to navigate and not mobile friendly at all. I wish it was easier to use.
