Pros I love that I have all my employment info in one place, it’s so easy for me to update personal Info & best of all the “hiring feature” I have is awesome! Cons The menus and organization are a bit clunky. For example, instead of have drop-down style menus they have tabs that you have to click on in order get the options to expand down the screen. Pros I have used peoplesoft for a long time across multiple organizations. The software seems easy to understand and supports multiple features. It's a very comfortable and friendly tool. I love it, and am sure you will too! Pros PeopleSoft has a very clean and modern feel to it. This is great software for a company to use along side its intranet. For years my company has used it as our primary vehicle for training. Video and interactive courses can be added and distributed easily through this tool. Cons This software feels like it could be so much more. It has all the great markings, that with some improvement, could be the tool that becomes a companies intranet. At times you'll love it, and your disappointing will be that it doesn't do more. This data can be organized in external programs such as excel. This removes a lot of digging for info if you have the proper macros enabled. Cons The interface is straight out of 2004. The menus are not well organized and confusing to dig through. This is not a system that you can pick up and master in a day. The entire institution uses this product which is a definite plus. It also contains all the information needed to manage our inventory. Cons I wish that this was more user friendly. If you have to temporarily switch to a different task, all information is lost and you will have to start all over. I often have to call for help from colleagues when pulling reports or reference my own training notes because of the lack of an intuitive interface. I don't have any control of what program my employer uses so I will continue to try and hopefully one day the program will click for me. Pros I use PeopleSoft within a higher education setting to organize student data. It does the job is says it does and allows me to pull transcripts, verify enrollment, and make program changes for our students. Cons I find PeopleSoft to be somewhat difficult to learn. I don't find it to be intuitive and the interface appears outdated. I don't use this in my current role but did for 5 years in the fitness industry in both a management role and subordinate role up until last year. Cons It's not self explanatory. I generally can learn a program relatively quickly but this was one I had to ask questions on more than usual. Pros It's generally easy to use, efficient and offers a range of options within reporting, tracking, data entry, etc. Takes a little learning, but a great solution.
