Pros

  • The platform is incredibly easy to use, with great ad formats and support from the onshore team. They are proactive in their suggestions and are very hands-on with us as an agency.

  • Overall it has been great compared to other marketing partners I work with. The account team at Taboola is really great to work with.

  • I like the interface where we run the campaigns and ads, I also like the easy way to create campaign n get started with your ads. I like the support team, if I get any queries they solve it perfectly.

  • It's easy to get your new campaign up and running and approved with Taboola. The interface is pretty slick.

Cons

  • The UI is not pretty to look at, navigating can be difficult.

  • The billing section is hard to manage, you cannot chose the amount billed.

  • What i don't like is that it does not have so much credibility so people don't click a lot on them.

  • I have forwarded the recordings from my heatmap software to my attorney for possible fraud.

"The best native traffic partner"

Overall: Excellent. I've been using Taboola for 10+ years and it's my go-to native advertising platform.

Pros: Easy to use interface, full insight into sources, excellent UTM support. Real traffic.

Cons: The max conversion setting could use more work. Google and Facebook have better algorithms, imo, but higher CPC.

"Taboola is a game changer compared to other display products!"

Overall: Excellent! Loving our new team & [sensitive content hidden] always steps in when we need it.

Pros: Taboola is the best native offering around, also compared to programmatic buys/display you see a lot more engagement & also the guaranteed CPC’s or CPCV’s are GAME CHANGING! Also it’s not normal in my opinion that you can expect hardcore leads/sales from a display type product but you actually get it with Taboola!

Cons: Whilst the platform is amazing & the team is great, I find when I ask for examples in a category the creative of this is a little lacking compared with other providers (e.g. seeing other clients in a category with ads in the platform live for case stidies etc). But once live, its excellent!

Switched From: StackAdapt and Google Ads
Reasons for Switching to Taboola: The guaranteed CPC or CPC rather that CPM plus premium environments. Both above can offer one of those but not both.

"For Advertiser something different"

Overall: Taboola is still one of my Favorite platforms to work ok

Pros: -Great For Scaling forward -Different Ad Platform new things to learn

Cons: -Takes a litte to long the Algorithm is not quite fast as metas

"Greg's review - 5 stars"

Overall: Overall it has been great compared to other marketing partners I work with. The account team at Taboola is really great to work with. I cant say enough about that. Additionally, the Yahoo transition has been a huge success for us. yahoo was incredibly difficult to work with, their team was horrible, and their DSP was a hot mess. Now that we can access our Yahoo campaigns in Taboola, our performance has sky rocketed and our lives are much easier.

Pros: Easy to use, with complete transparency. Thats all I have to say about that.

Cons: There are a lot of bugs in the UI. Thats all I have to say about that

"Allow Taboola to do ALL of the Heavy Lifting "

Overall: From the moment we established our account, it has been a Blessing. The Artificial Intelligence (AI) aspect informed us that we would have a better chance of not having our "Ad Copy" truncated on particular Ad Partners if we kept our heading at 60 or below. The AI feature reworded out Headline to an even more powerful message. Our goal is the "Accomplish the Mission" and Taboola is assisting us with our Goal.

Pros: The Ease of Use, The Customer Care Agents, The Affordable Pricing.

Cons: We have not experienced any challenges. We are 100% happy with our decision to utilize all of the robust features of Taboola.

Reasons for Switching to Taboola: Because the other platform boasts big results and underperformed. Their costs are substantially higher and their Customer Care Department is less than par.

"Great Platform for Native Advertising"

Overall: Overall, we are extremely pleased with how many leads Taboola had provided our client.

Pros: I like the customer service and ability to get started quickly. We were former Yahoo DSP customers, and Taboola treated us like we had been customers for years.

Cons: The reporting features could be improved greatly, taking learnings from other DSPs.

"My First Experience With Taboola"

Pros: I found the Taboola setup quick and simple, the get to know product guide functions almost like a wizard with next steps delivered to the in-app messaging platform - If you follow the prompts you can't make a mistake, this was especially helpful as a first time user of the platform running special category ads.

Cons: I'd love to see Taboola expand it's placement reach to compete more directly with Google or to gain placement in very niche but busy platforms like Reddit (Yes, I know Reddit has their own ad platform but it was the first one that came to mind)

"Taboola are champions of Native advertising to date"

Overall: A fantastic experience. Taboola are the leaders in native ad technology and deployment.

Pros: The platform is incredibly easy to use, with great ad formats and support from the onshore team. They are proactive in their suggestions and are very hands-on with us as an agency.

Cons: Sometimes, reporting from a post view perspective can be limited. The inventory, while strong, is not often too unique to Taboola as a provider.

"Great source with scale"

Pros: scale, measurability, variety. Taboola and partners are doing a good job at increasing the reach

Cons: Would love to have a bit more control on the placements. Taboola should give their own UI/API priority over the exchange when bidding for a placement to avoid mixing traffic with our sources and devaluing the offering

"Taboola great advertising product "

Overall: Very positive experience getting good results and scaling out business

"Valuable partner and innovative platform for performance marketers"

Pros: Fast pacing company that keeps a pulse on customer needs to have continous improvement on their product landscape. We highly value this long term partnership that offers us great technology combined with personal connection on key challenges.

Cons: With the large publisher list comes a challenge to filter for the best value options. Facilitating user's options to handle this aspect on his side (without depending on support) and sharing further insights on the publishers KPIs/availability would increase the speed of optimization.

"One of Kind "

Overall: My overall experience has been great! Great communication with the representative that was assigned to my account. A company that stays on t op of making adjustments and optimizations were needed within a campaign. The overall campaigns I have ran in the past have produce great results!

Overall: Currently still experimenting and hopeful that Taboola would improve their conversion tracking set up.

Pros: Taboola is a good platform for sourcing transparent traffic for native campaigns/ads

Cons: Conversion tracking is complicated especially while running campaigns for well known advertisers/affiliates. Taboola can simplify conversion tracking similar to 3rd party trackers like Clickflare, etc

"4 years and counting!"

Pros: They don't try to dress up the campaign setup or optimization as something it isn't, there's no multiple pages with 4 settings BS - just one page of campaign settings, one page for the ads, and it's very functional. Very easy to check for mistakes. Of course they provide quality traffic, and the price ranges are also quite good.

Cons: Sometimes the servers are overloaded, or we have other issues that cause breaks in our day, but that's fine, we can grab a coffee and do something else for a while. Support can be a bit hard to communicate with, there's usually more back and forth to confirm everything twice, but they are trying to be safe I guess.

"Taboola Appreciation "

Pros: The servicing team is just beyond proactive! they take ownership and have good knowledge about the platforms making it very easier to sell and execute campaigns.

Cons: Taboola is the perfect SSP platform working like a huge clock that never loses time, it is performance focused and cost effective and till date we have not received any complaints on the same.

Pros: Disclosing the exposed advertising page transparently, The function of targeting and detargeting the exposed advertisement is the best.

Cons: There was a lack of some expected features. 1) I was hoping to check several events, but I can check only one conversion event 2) I can't check the data on the ads or campaigns by day
