Pros

Automating user management in AD using XIA has made the process of creating, updating, disabling and reenabling users a completely handoff process. There are so many options and possibilities and the developers have put a huge amount of thought into all the possible features you could ever need. The customer support is outstanding and has been so helpful and patient n answering questions whenever asked.

Cons

There is a lot to learn but lots of the setup process for making automated tasks is very logical, so there can be a learning curve but this isn't a negative and you get to set all the options you can use to improve and streamline your previous processes, and the supporting documentation and the customer support is excellent so you don't have to worry if you have any queries.

Pros

\- Support is always quick and responsive to any questions or issues. - Requested features have been added in a timely manner with feedback during the process. - No need for multiple templates for account creation jobs like other software options. - No need to have all data perfectly set to what it will look like in AD before import. Can easily manipulate the data as part of the job tasks.

Cons

\- Some scripting may be needed for some advanced features, but we came from a scripting only solution, so that was not an issue. - Errors found in large import files take time to pre-process and then need to be fixed and run through the pre-process again instead of having the ability to process correct items.

Time saving

Pros

The ease of use and the amount of time it saves in laborious task We are a school of 1500 students and 200 staff and every year we get an extra 220 pupils so you can imagine the task to create new accounts.

Cons

A bit of a learning curve to start with and that we couldn't upgrade our existing set up due to how old it was but otherwise it's good.

It allows us to hand-off certain low risk tasks to on-site personnel which frees our helpdesk from the more mundane tasks and empowers our clients to perform self service roles safely.

Pros

Flexible and with high level of customisation. Very reliable and easy to deploy. Updates are easy to apply and always work.

We find that this is a very useful product and eliminates the need to swamp the IT support staff with student password resets.

Pros

Being able to get teachers to reset student passwords eliminating the need for pupils to leave the classroom

This software allows you to automate and almost as importantly delegate any administrative task in AD, Exchange, on servers, on workstations, and anything else you can script somehow. It has its own script designer and it can also run pretty much any other script you care to create too. It accepts web form inputs for the variables to pass or a CSV file. Customer support has alway been second to none. Try it out, you'll see why I like it so much.

Pros

The return on investment is immense if you have any time consuming repetitive tasks to perform. Automating repetitive tasks with XIA Automation ensures mistakes made while manually performing these tasks never happens. Being able to easily delegate any task without giving any elevated access to a user is invaluable. Simple to setup. Easy to use.

Cons

Haven't found anything I do not like about this software.
