### "I recommend CASEpeer to Every Small Firm"

February 27, 2024

5.0

CASEpeer is fantastic. The progam is easy to use and tailored to a personal injury law firm.

Pros

It's easy to use and if I have any questions or need help their support is always helpful and responsive.

Cons

I would like to be able to customize the boxes I see on each case. "Workers" appear at the top of every page but that's not relevant to me in my practice but I cannot customize the appearance.

Reason for choosing 8am CasePeer

Another friend of mine recommended CASEpeer and I was able to test the product at a conference.

Clio had too much other stuff - like focus on time tracking and billing that I don't need in my practice.

### "Great!"

November 8, 2022

4.0

It was a struggle at the beginning, and there were some features that we were lead to believe we were going to have, that we didn't, especially with reporting. However, over time of using the products, there have been some changes that have improved those capabilities and some of our suggestions have been taken in and used. There are still more that we'd like to have done (see above Cons) but it has continually improved over the almost 2 years we've been using.

Pros

I love that everything we need to know about our client and their case is easily accessible. We know their medical treatment, when records have been ordered and received, when litigation documents have been sent and due, and love using the litigation event plans as well as the auto gen letters and tasks populating automatically on status changes.

Cons

I wish the advanced search button was in the top bar alongside the search - a lot of times we need to search using court file number and we always have to mimic a search to get the "error" for no search results to get to the advanced search button. Also, I would like that tasks can be parent/child. For example, a task to send something out, once that gets marked as complete it automatically updates the date of receiving the response to the correct # of days/weeks after. Our old CMS had that and it saved a lot of time manually having to update tasks if they prior was not completed on the due date.Really our main struggle has been issues with OneDrive for Business working seamlessly with CasePeer. It seems to have issues regularly where we have to deactivate/reactivate the link and sometimes that doesn't even work. And using the documents tab connected to OneDrive is slow and we typically connect it but don't necessarily use it the way it would be helpful (like categorizing documents, opening to edit, etc.) We generally just go to OneDrive thru FileExplorer as it's easier that way. The only benefit to the connecting at all is when we auto generate documents it saves automatically in the OneDrive file with the connection and saves the steps of "save as." However, many times there's issues where we have to do that "save as" step anyway.

### "I would recommend CASEpeer to any personal injury firm"

November 8, 2022

5.0

Our firm has had a really good experience with CASEpeer. Anytime that we have needed training they have been quick to set up a time. There have been a few times where I have needed customer support, trying to do some thing out of the ordinary and they have been really quick to respond.

Pros

We have made CASEpeer an integral part to our personal injury law practice. It is the client file. We also use it to track our marketing efforts, our staff productivity, and our contingency fees.

Cons

I think the only thing that was difficult about casepeer, was making sure that our entire team was all on the same page about the case stages. That was probably more on our end than anything that case Pierre could have done differently.

We really like the demo and it didn’t feel like a massive sales pitch. Do you let the product speak for itself. It took us three different phone calls and zoom meetings just to get a demo back from filevine. The other companies were good to work with, we just felt like CASEpeer was going to work really work well for our needs.

Our firm used to do more practice areas and we used Clio for years. I really felt like it was set up for massive defense companies and not our small law firm. They really didn’t have a good task management process at the time. We then made the switch to PracticePanther, but it really wasn’t robust enough for our growing personal injury practice, we stayed with PracticePanther for over a year. Finally when we decided to be serious about doing only personal injury cases we took meetings from filevine, CASEpeer and other companies we fell in love with the team at CASEpeer and they were upfront about pricing from the get-go.

### "The BEST case management software for personal injury firms. PERIOD."

January 26, 2023

5.0

I love CASEpeer. It saves everyone time and keeps everyone on the same page with all our cases.

Pros

CASEpeer is so easy to use and seamless for getting the staff onboarded--super intuitive. With automated workflows (CASEplans) and document automation, routine tasks take seconds and everyone knows exactly what the next step is on any given case. Basically, everything from medical record status to outstanding liens and any analytical report you could want is at my fingertips in CASEpeer. I couldn't run my law firm without it.

Cons

CASEpeer has a robust reporting system that I wish would allow for more refined/eye friendly exports instead of just spreadsheet options. It would also be nice to be able to print a firm branded invoice from the costs tab that could be given to a client. Also, the time tracking feature looks good and works will inside of CASEpeer, but once exported, it's useless--I have to basically reenter all the data to make it usable within the spreadsheet, and then again to make something that I can show in court as evidence.

### "Likes & Dislikes"

January 26, 2023

5.0

Discovery is being submitted in a timelier manner and we are avoiding motions being filed against us. I like being able to look at the defendant's tab and see all the necessary contact information for the adjuster and/or the defense attorney.

Pros

I like the "critical notes" so that in the event a client is in bankruptcy or has a child support lien, it doesn't get missed as there are laws for those two specifically that we must adhere to when a case settles; being able to keep track of discovery that is owed to the defense and vice versa; being able to see exactly how many files one person has, the stage in which they are in and when a case was last touched.

Cons

I despise the calendar. It lags, dates get double booked often because there is not a "live update" when things are added. Sometimes, there are things that only show up on the calendar report and never on the picture calendar causing things that need to be done to get missed. Also, when choosing to view ONE attorney's calendar, everything that is on the calendar for everyone in the office shows up. I wish there was some sort of option to "reverse" a file if necessary. There are times that a company will jump file a lawsuit and our client then becomes the defendant in the case. CasePeer isn't set up for that, so the critical note section is the only thing that plays a role in keeping it straight.

Switched from

[AbacusLaw](https://www.capterra.com/p/18374/AbacusLaw/)

When we used Abacus, we only used the calendar and nothing else. We needed something more updated and that would offer the ease of use for most of the options/categories that we needed for our files.

### "Adios, Practice Panther!"

May 17, 2023

5.0

The integration process was quick and their staff has been great the entire time. We've been using CasePeer for about two years now and they're ass friendly and helpful as ever.

Pros

Featurewise, client texting has been a significant game changer for us along with the task management system. But what I like most is their customer service - they are very responsive, friendly, and have even integrated a couple of our firm's suggestions into their software.

Cons

I think if you have a complicated litigation practice, their discovery and litigation tracking isn't the clearest or most expansive. It's difficult to keep track of service and pleadings when there are multiple parties but only one defendant - like when having to serve a UIM carrier.

### "A much-needed assistant in managing cases"

January 26, 2023

5.0

The ability to track medical records and billing was difficult and time-consuming. With CasePeer, the record tracking is highly manageable and provides accurate information for the attorney without requiring me to stop a task to answer his questions.

Pros

I appreciate the program as a whole. For example, the Home page for each client provides immediate case status at a glance. The program allows me to move to specific information on the case without wasting time. The overall management of information keeps the cases highly organized which gives the attorney the tools he needs to pursue a successful result for our clients.

Cons

The ability to incorporate standard document templates could be a bit easier, more user-friendly.

Reason for choosing 8am CasePeer

The overall features provided a cost-effective tool that helps us be highly organized and efficient. Other programs offer similar features but are limited in that they do not incorporate other outside applications to round out the usefulness of the program overall. CasePeer is constantly adding outside app features to make my job easier.

Easy to use. And if you are a bit curious and have the courage to get into it, you can learn some features and self teach. It is that easy to use.

Pros

User friendly. Very good for time keeping time tracking. They though of everything and intergraded it into the application.

Cons

As a result of trying to intergrade all the angles of work or in other word because the put A to Z in to the platform, some of the functions need more attention to make it more useful and practical.

### "LOVE Casepeer"

February 27, 2024

5.0

Pros

I love this program so much I pushed it on my new firm. The ease of use is what gets me. The layout makes so much sense, and its user friendly.

Cons

I wish we could add or take away case status. The settlement tab needs some work too. You should be able to see who has a lien on the settlement tab within the medical provider tab. We would also like to be able to call providers or at least be able to click on them from the settlement tab.

Reason for choosing 8am CasePeer

This firm went with Casepeer because of me and my history with Casepeer. I pushed them to check it out.

### "Quick start - low barrier to use"

May 17, 2023

5.0

We are better at keeping notes of conversations and emails all in one spot by using casepeer. Our client communication increased and client satisfaction increased with the ability to text or email directly from Casepeer in a way that kept the conversation within the file.

Pros

Even new employees who haven't worked in law before have very little trouble figuring out how to use Casepeer in very short time. We also really loved that there wasn't a lengthy onboarding time (a common problem when switching case management programs). Texting and being able to have clients e-sign documents that are then auto uploaded into their file was especially useful during COVID.

Cons

It isn't as user friendly from a mobile device or tablet. This is unfortunate as sometimes I need to be able to access cases while traveling and would prefer to use my ipad and not have to travel with the laptop. But I really had to think hard about what I liked "least" as overall Casepeer has been top notch for us.

### "Happy assistants make for a happy attorney."

August 9, 2023

5.0

Excellent

Pros

The ready-made PI file management is excellent. The integrated client texting is phenomenal for keeping clients up -to-date and the warnings regarding stale cases is fantastic. Also, using the eSignature feature has been a game-changes. All-in -all fantastic product. There are few tweaks I would love to make, but still worth it.

Cons

Needs a far better NEGOTIATIONS tab/section, the settlement worksheet is not intuitive and should be able to be run without creating accounting inputs, and the cost tracking, especially for soft costs owed to the firm but not paid in advance, need to be reworked and refined. Needs to more user customizable. The calendar is also better and more robust on my prior software. Also, on a small peeve is that under UM insurance the adjuster has to be categorized as "bodily injury" instead of just UM adjuster.

Reason for choosing 8am CasePeer

Better value and after research seemed to fit what I wanted. At my prior law firm we used server-based Needles and although the interface was very dated it was excellent software. CASEpeer comes very close and exceeds in some ways.

### "New to the groove..."

November 8, 2022

4.0

Overall CASEpeer has aided in keeping the entire office on track with being able to access all cases and check case status.

Pros

Overall this softward is user friendly. While some features can be a little confusing to figure out and may take a while, the resourses are available if you have the time to stop and check them out. Having never used a case management program before, there was a lot of trial and error, but any error was easily fixed with no ill effects to the case file.

Cons

Not being able to specify details in the medical billing, no option in discovery for "Non-Party" - as we utilize non-party requests a lot in discovery; it can be confusing in the discovery drop down for choices as it always presumes that you are the plaintiff/defendant requesting from a named defendant for discovery, there should be a way that the plaintiff is also listed in the drop down when discovery requests are received from defendant to plaintiff (for tracking purposes); it would just make it more user friendly for the litigation portion of cases. Additionally, not being able to see the entire active case list is a challenge.

### "CasePeer is too rigid to be a viable option"

December 3, 2021

2.0

Imagine you're shopping for a home and you come upon a new construction with great curb appeal, modern amenities, and even comes fully furnished -- there's just one catch: you can't add or remove a single thing. You feel motivated to 'make it work,' but soon discover what you're really in for. Upon touring the kitchen, you notice the cupboards are brimming with tupperware, but there are no serving platters for hosting parties. Normally you'd remove some of the plastic containers and add your own dishware, but it's not possible here. When you ask the developer about it, they explain how the tupperware can be laid out and used as serving trays, and while this is technically true, it would always be a poor solution and a compromise that one shouldn't have to make. That's kind of what it's like working with CasePeer. We recently abandoned our attempt at migration after putting in several months of trying to 'make it work' and encountering the full ramifications of overly simplistic software so rigid that nothing can be changed, combined with a developer that's equally uninterested in listening to the needs of a personal injury firm. Specifically, CasePeer has no ability to handle PIP subrogation or third-party/workers' comp subrogation, its available insurance types are limited to UM, UIM, and Umbrella, and the list of case types is set in stone, overflowing with clutter that's irrelevant to most personal injury firms, while lacking in crucial PI options.

Pros

CasePeer has many good ideas for personal injury software, especially when it comes to tracking medical bills and record requests, but the software is too simplistic and too rigid in its current incarnation.

Cons

The backend of CasePeer is too simplistic and rigid. Everything is set in stone. Nothing can be changed. It needs a more robust backend database married to the pleasing and useful frontend.

Switched from

[Neos](https://www.capterra.com/p/58931/Neos/)

We ultimately abandoned our switch to CasePeer and decided to stay with Needles Neos. Even though Needles Neos may not look as pretty and could use an update to its workflows, it's fully customizable and adaptable, has a better calendar, more robust document generation, and is all-around much more powerful.

### "Best of the bunch"

February 27, 2024

5.0

So far it has been outstanding. The customer service is excellent and their staff makes sure questions are answered. The very best is that training is included. There are videos and webinars, but even when there is the odd question not covered, the training is included. We aren't nickel-and-dimed to death!

Pros

We reviewed multiple applications before choosing CASEpeer. The features and options available were the very best and exactly what we need to take our firm to the next level.

Cons

Nothing so far. This product has all the features we need and they are already integrated into the product.

Reason for choosing 8am CasePeer

Amicus web is as bad as I remembered so it wasn't seriously considered. Firm Central is too cumbersome and required too many adjustments to make it work - this would cause difficulties in the future. MyCase is for firms that practice in more than one area, but is built by the CASEpeer company. Clio is not robust enough for our needs.

Switched from

The software was glitchy and they were pushing us to move to their online platform which is unusable. They charge extra for everything and their customer service is lacking in actual service. As soon as you say you can't figure out how to use their application, they are quick to tell you how much that is now going to cost you in training.

I've used Casepeer since I've been in personal injury, it's a great software. It does periodically get upgrades and we are able to make suggestions, and overall it exceeds our expectations!

Pros

The product is easy to use and manage. It makes training new employees easy because they are able to be hands on with the product and quickly learn without any previous experience.

Cons

Does not have the option for integration with commonly used records services. Texting option for clients is great, but the notifications and non-automatic notes into the case is not existing therefore defeats the convenience of the feature.

Pros

This program is very user-friendly. When issues do arise, the support staff is very prompt and helpful. The reports are also very helpful.

Cons

The templates could use some improvement so that it can pull information from multiple tabs as needed. ### "Making my workday easier!"

May 17, 2023

5.0

Pros

I like a couple features on casepeer but my favorite would be the texting feature. I really like that I don't have to use my personal phone and I don't have to always call the client for small things like asking them to sign a document I emailed to them or an address to somewhere. I also really like that when she send photos it automatically uploads to photos, it saves me a lot of time! I find CASEpeer to be very easy to use and very efficient. We use it daily in our office.

Cons

I don't like that I can't edit my notes because I'm not an admin. Sometimes I have typos and I don't like having to always ask the office manager to change it especially since she's very busy.
