Pros The ease of use is great. I have busy days so it is nice that SmartFlo is easy to use. Cons The only problem I had with SmartFlo was not with it really, it was when someone else in the team did not understand how to use it. Other vendors showed us their process flows in the demo, but SmartFlo showed us OUR process flows. They provided top-notch service during the implementation, met every deadline, and always communicated. Pros As the administrator and process designer, configuration of process flows was very simple, even for complicated processes with multiple routes and feedback loops. Configuration of data was also easy to set up and change. Having the flexibility to tweak existing processes and design new ones without the need for development or vendor support is what sold it. The robustness of the design meant we only needed minimal customization, which SmartFlo delivered quickly, flawlessly, and inexpensively. End user support is a breeze and almost non-existent. The GUI is simple and clean and users consistently loved it. Cons I honestly can't say anything negative about it. The consistent positive user feedback speaks for itself. Reasons for choosing SmartFlo Licensing was a little lower than the competitors, and implementation costs were even lower than that. The overall value for the money was significantly higher than the competitors. Being able to customize our own process flows without the need for development or vendor support was the key. Response from Vendor April 23, 2020 Mark was the liaison between Mars Corporate IT and the Marketing department where we implemented SmartFlo to simplify process and digital asset management for the Mars Petcare business units in North and South America. Mark set the bar for high speed adoption. Within 8 hours of online instruction and plenty of homework, Mark was able to build and deploy new workflows, configure the DAM service and help lead the SAP integration effort that followed. I was part of the team that set up, deployed and integrated SmartFlo with a Digital Asset Management solution. The SmartFlo team was excellent, responding quickly to inquiries and issues. We were able to execute on a full integration as well as build out several complex business flows in a very short period of time, coming in on budget and time within our overall project plan. Pros The solution is very flexible, allowing for management of a variety of business flows and processes. The team behind it are dedicated and very responsive to any questions, feedback and/or suggestions. Cons The UI and terminology used takes a while to get used to. The net result has delivered a complete solution that seamlessly shares and updates Oracle's PIM data across SmartFlo workflows and the Northplains Telescope DAM. SmartFlo APIs in combination with the CHALEx DAM connector allowed us to develop and deliver the complete solution on time and in budget. It allows us to keep all of our files centralized and backed up. The workflow and process management is also great for tracking and coordinating repeatable tasks like creating promotions or managing employees. It provides a central dashboard with useful analytics. Although with any tool there is a learning curve with figuring out how it works for you the software it is worth it for industries that want a better way to track, manage and improve their workflows.
