When I first started using it the page didn't update as quickly as it does now. I lost some work in the beginning. I have had experience with a number of other EMR's and the simplicity of Kipu is one of my favorite aspects of it. I am trying to get their company to switch over to kipu, but they are old and pretty much set in there ways . Haha I’ll keep trying though. Thank you for designing a well put together program for people like me , who are computer illiterate. Pros Everything is at your fingertips. You can see what the whole team writes and requests for the client. I would highly recommend it to any facility that writes clinical notes, performs interval rounds and takes progress notes. Cons I really don’t have any complaints. It also color coordinates the dashboard to tell you where the clients are in treatment. I also like how easy it is to send documents to approved guardians for obtaining ROIs, consents, and sending weekly summaries. The duplicate feature is also nice when writing notes so it carries over some information that may not change on the week to week basis. Cons It would be nice if the nutrition exposure notes could appear as group notes so that every client could be charted for each meal/snack on one page instead of having to open each clients chart and document separately. I honestly don't have a complaint it works great for this business. Pros Very easy to use and to teach to the lay-person. Corrections and retakes are monitored but allowed to occur, meaning, you can fix an error,but the system notifies administrator that an issue occurred. Cons If there was a way to use two separate systems and to still be able to across reference with each without switching log-in portals, that would be nice, but probably impossible due to security issues. " March 17, 2020 3.0 We used this as our EHR, reluctantly, as there really isn't a good EHR out there that does everything. If you're looking for one, Azalea is my new favorite. Pros It took a lot of back end work on my part, but I was able to make it simple-to-use for the clinical team, other than the nurse/physician who had to do the orders. Cons I don't like it's cost model, it's lack of reporting custom fields in notes, and it's order sets/eMAR weren't too seamless. The training was not efficient with the amount of need in order to educate the small amount of first time users. After a few hours of trial and error I was able to navigate Kipu without struggling with the platform. I rate this platform a 6 out of 10. I am familiar with Powerchart/CAMS over my career, and I have enjoyed now learning Kipu.... Thank you kindly Cons I struggled with how busy the homepage was. Only issue that I had. Cons There are times when I want to be able to enter medication data that Kipu is not set up to do, such as offer two options for a dose depending on pain scales or other factors.
