### "Free tool to create competition"

December 5, 2025

5.0

Overall Kahoot! is easy to use and easy to deploy within meetings in order to test your users on whatever information you have presented it. It’s also a really great way for team bonding because there is a competitive edge of who answers the fastest.

Pros

What I like most about Kahoot! is that it is free to sign up and use and it is one of the easiest programs to use within the browser. It was great at giving questions and allowing users answer and there was just so many customization option of color scheme and really putting the company’s branding on the product. The other thing I like about Kahoot! is that they are expanding beyond just educational use and going into the corporate field which allows for more customization of look and appearance.

Cons

It’s hard to say what I like least about Kahoot! because it is just a really great free tool. But maybe that is where it downfall is, is that it is a free tool so there are limitations to what is offered with a free account.

### "Gamified Review of Content"

June 17, 2025

3.0

The kiddos enjoy learning and studying for tests using Kahoot. I really like that it helps students get excited about learning.

Pros

Gamified studying for student that helps keep attention for longer periods of time than normal content review.

Cons

Kahoot has a character limit for question and answer choices that limits asking questions that are too long or at a higher order of thinking.

### "Making not so fun material FUN! "

November 25, 2025

5.0

It has been great! I love being able to customize the questions based on what we want to focus on, which in our industry is always changing. I personally believe that when reviewing things in a fun way like with Kahoot! it helps make the subject matter stick better.

Pros

I love how Kahoot! makes learning fun, especially when the subject material is not very fun. We deal a lot with mandated policies and this is a fun way for the team to review.

Cons

Honestly nothing the experience with it has been easy and fun. I am able to easily create the tests and correct answers with no issues.

### "Kahoot in the Workplace"

December 18, 2025

5.0

Kahoot has been great for friendly competition at work, and I love the idea of how customizable it is. We use it for company parties or just events where we're gathering. We tend to give out prizes to staff members that have the highest score at the end.

Pros

Kahoot is such a staple at our organization! It's not even funny how many times we use it for all staff events. We tend to use it for the accessibility when it we have a number of staff present.

Cons

I think the only downside and worry to Kahoot is that you cannot filter out inappropriate names if possible. I say this only because we use it at a work function, and it would be nice to remove certain names or have a warning for them.

### "Students Love Kahoot!"

March 7, 2022

5.0

Students absolutely love Kahoot! Above any other study games or activities I would come up with, students loved Kahoot the most. I never really understood it because it just seems like a timed quiz to me, but hey, if it works it works!

Pros

Kahoot is very easy to setup, save, and modify preexisting ones. I personally never used other peoples kahoots but I did reuse my own kahoots over the couple year period I was teaching. This made it very easy to on-the-fly come up with a great study or knowledge-check activity.

Cons

Everyone seems to love the music but I find it quite annoying. I also wish there was a "force user sign in" option where students could just sign in with their school information including their name instead of either allowing them to come up with their own "names" which often lead to inappropriate names, or forcing them to use the random name generator which causes many arguments and students wanting to keep randomizing it until they got something they liked. It wouldn't need to include their full name, just a prompt for first name and last initial.

### "The Best Way To Teach Students: A Competition"

August 27, 2020

4.0

Kahoot is one of the best tools teachers can have for their students. It not only works for young elementary schoolers but also with college students as well. It's simple design allows for users to easily access it while at the same time learning or reviewing something. Kahoot does need some improvements but as it stands, Kahoot could make a boring day in class a little more entertaining and engaging, especially if there were a prize towards the winners, which was basically the motives to all the middle-schoolers I helped teach for a day.

Pros

Kahoot has been a staple feature in many public schools throughout the past 6 years. Kahoot allows boring quizzes to become a fun competition against your peers and classmates. Although it has a very simple concept, it's bright colors, catchy music, and point system makes it seem more like you're on a game show rather than powering through a test that no one wanted to take. Since most people have some sort of device sitting in their pockets that connects to the internet, accessing Kahoot is as simple as going to the website and entering a code. Also allowing people to choose their own names is a fun way for people to express humor (although sometimes it can be an issue). Because so many teachers use Kahoot as a way to review what their students have learned, there are a variety of different topics and quizzes to choose from. You don't have to manually type and make your own Kahoot if your subject is somewhat commonly taught. And having such a massive library of quizzes ranging from "Name That Disney Princess" to "Name The Capitals of These States" allows for variation between subjects. So Kahoot can be a learning tool as well as a fun little break for students.

Cons

In all honesty, Kahoot does not have too much to improve upon. Its website is user friendly and straightforward. However, I do have some suggestions for improvements. My first would be to add more music or allow the choice of using a selection of songs that have the proper copyright claims or are copyright free. Although catchy, it can become old a little quicker if the same song is played for every quiz. My second would be to add more than just a quiz. One of my ideas was to have one student step up to the classroom smartboard/projector and have all the other students turn around or close their eyes. The student would then be given a word/words that relate to the subject. Once the student knows what their word/words are all the other students would turn around or open their eyes and the student upfront would have to draw whatever word/words they got. The drawing would be projected on the screen and the other students have to type whatever they think the answer is. The fastest correct answer gets the most points. I feel like Kahoot is a great idea but should have more content. Nevertheless, Kahoot is always going to be a great activity for anyone.

### "After years of asking, Kahoot still doesn't "talk" to google classroom"

December 23, 2021

3.0

Kahoot is a great way to build and even ensure engagement. Kahoot games are quite plainly a lot of fun both for hosts and players. Its a great way to gamify training or a classroom. So I still love Kahoot and I use it often but I could love it more if there were a way to align it with google classroom and if there was an efficient way to track performance.

Pros

I still love Kahoot despite missing features that would make me love it more. Kahoot is so easy to use and a great way to build engagement. There are so many games to choose from and if somethings not quite right, games can be very easily edited or even created. Games are so fun to play and even fun to host. Kahoot makes gamification easy for fun, interactive learning for all ages.

Cons

What kahoot is missing, which keeps me from loving it even more, is a way to track performance via google classroom or other educational management systems. Kahoot can be launched with google classroom, but then the data from the games isn't sent back to google classroom. So classroom talks to Kahoot, but for whatever reason Kahoot doesn't talk back to google. I reached out to Kahoot many times about this and I get the same answer that this is not a feature they are interested in providing. What a shame. What also happens often is players use hurtful and offensive and inappropriate nicknames. This is quite common in schools but can also happen in the workplace. As far as I know, there is no way to track this. Kahoot offers a friendly nickname generator to avoid this, but then there is no way to track performance. So essentially Kahoot which could be so powerful in assessment and training, is simply reduced to a really fun game or just basic enreichment. Again...What a shame.

### "Kahoot is great for educators and students"

July 28, 2022

5.0

Amazing free app that helps with learning and practicing.

Pros

I love being able to make my own quizzes and upload and share them with others. It is so much fun to play with people and play competitively. It is also fun whenever I pull these out in class and play with students. I get to see how much everyone knows.

Cons

There are two things that could be improved with this product. First, I think the speed points should be removed. It brings added stress and makes students click answers faster without really thinking or understanding. They often misclick as a result and get questions wrong. I understand that this would remove the competitive aspect that makes it fun, so I would suggest having an alternate game mode where you can toggle this feature for tests and quizzes, and turn it back on when you are playing for fun in a competitive way. The other issue is that kahoot doesn't really fact check the available tests. Anyone can make their own quiz and upload it publicly. I have come across several that have incorrect information and lots of errors. There should be a system to fix this.

### "Kahoot's fun Engagement"

December 29, 2022

5.0

My overall experience in using Kahoot is amazing. We had fun with every interactive games or quizzes we conducted. It helps us engage with each other more closer by playing it altogether even though we are using our mobile apps anywhere in the world. it is convenient, & easy to use.

Pros

What I love the most about using Kahoot is the fun engagement & interaction. Real time data & live sharing are very easy to use & it makes us enjoy the software even better. It is very interactive, you can answer the quizzes or games together and know the result together. You can also customize your questions according to your taste or topic.

Cons

What I like the least about Kahoot is the mobile app. I think it needs a better improvement because sometimes it is hard to see the answers on a mobile screen. I recommend to work better with the app & to improve it.
