Used the software for: ### "You've come a long way, baby" April 12, 2017 4.0 I discovered macdraft pro in 2005 when looking for a mac based design program for my construction business. This was pre Sketchup. The software has come a long way since 2005 and continues to get better with every update. It's not as robust as Autocad, but it more then meets my needs. I am a casual user, and I maintain my license because it is affordable and easy to use. I have used it professionally in the past for space planning, but now I use it primarily for home projects. Bisness owner Construction Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Excellent with a few more updates" June 18, 2019 4.0 Very good and does pretty much everything you need for a auto cad equivalent, with a few more updates and fine tuning can be a very well rounded piece of software, that's helps a lot of people that don't require full auto cad suites to do some work. Pros Its Mac based and with out much knowledge was easy to navigate and work out how to use Cons Needs some fine tuning to certain areas and functionality, as some tools reset to default settings after every use. Use for facilities and process diagrams Cons Importing windows dwg files still an issue but it could due to the user (me)! Just not have that luck. Cons Expensive and still did not provide for basic elevations. I downloaded and found lack of functions. They would not refund and advised I had to upgrade further to get elevation function. Pros With MacDraft Professional 7 you can create really intricate 2D CAD designs easily on a mac computer.
