Pros

The whole system is very simple to use. when you put this on a difficulty scale it's Beginner.

Cons

data doesn't stay when you switch between tables which creates repetition on tedious number inputs.

Eliminated the need to have clients use paper enrollment. Using carrier connections to transmit enrollment data saves time.

Pros

Ease is pretty intuitive to set up a new group, or renew benefits, if you are experienced with benefit admin systems. I like the "white space" appearance, both as an Admin, and for the employee experience

Cons

If there's a complicated benefits situation, Ease Customer Support isn't always available to help resolve the issue quickly, and the follow-up has been somewhat lacking. An example would be for employer groups whose coverage is secondary to Medicare for employees. An employer Administrator cannot easily toggle between the Admin view and their own Employee view, which creates a few problems. The hardest part is getting clients, and their employees, to adopt and use the system. An onboarding, or welcome call to new groups from Ease would be helpful.

Some companies take a long time to establish a connection and everything does not always feed over correctly.

Overall I have had a positive experience and this option works for 98% of groups with 100 or fewer employees.

Pros

I like that you can easily set up and deploy groups. The user interface is easy and clean. Also, this product has great form mapping with real signatures.

Cons

Some more sophisticated benefits may not be supported. Not much in the way of customizing for specific use.

Pros

EASE is fairly intuitive and setting up clients/benefits is pretty easy. I especially LOVE/appreciate that if I get stuck on something, EASE customer service is TOP NOTCH.

Cons

I'm sure there are some, I just can't think of any.

Several years ago, we used Ease to manage the benefits of a large employer with multiple benefits and multiple eligibility rules. The group was managing their benefits manually and via spreadsheets. The group was able to implement everything in Ease. An Ease representative made himself available over a holiday to help us import data and implement this group.

Pros

Ease provides a great platform for onboarding and benefit enrollment. From the setup side, Ease is one place to store all benefit plan information, eligibility rates, employee demographics. I use Ease as my go-to place when I need to reference enrollment or benefit questions.

Cons

I do not have anything specific I can say I do not like about Ease. There are continual enhancements being made and sometimes I do not know about the functionality until I am processing a change or a renewal.

Reason for choosing Ease

Our agency was approached by several insurance companies that had their own enrollment platform. Our agency is independent and we did not want to have our clients' electronic enrollment tied to one specific carrier.

Intuitive navigation Ease of set up of benefit plans, with their inherent granularity Very easy to create open enrollment menu for participants

Cons

1) Not enough payroll vendors have current APIs for connectivity with Ease. 2) Statutory market (<100) medical carriers not yet connected with APIs for eligibility; large group (>100) connected via aggregators.

Reason for choosing Ease

With the absence of electronic connections to carriers (via APIs) the Ease.com solution was to produce carrier compliant PDF enrollment/change forms, which are easily transmitted to the carriers. At the time of adoption, no other software was doing this.

Pros

Very user friendly, the dashboard is easy to maneuver through and great ACA and reporting tools

Cons

Their customer support needs help. They have a bot for support on the platform that offers a chat /call or email feature to reach support. This is a new feature they brought to their platform this year and is not very streamlined. Takes some time to get callbacks and email responses, the chat service is only available from 9-3pm

Great. Customer Service is really bad; however, the product is mostly excellent. There are a few areas of improvement needed in on boarding.

Pros

Easy to use, employees can easily navigate.

Cons

On boarding is not streamlined. Payroll integrations cost a lot of money and the folks managing the process take over a week to respond at times.

This has made quite a difference in managing multiple Clients and their needs. By far Ease maintains to best Support Teams for any product that I have used. They are quick, knowledgeable, capable and friendly!

Pros

This product is easy to set up and manage. The deployment to new hires and at Open Enrollment time gives us all time savings and the critical control of those processes.

Cons

Some of the features have idiosyncrasies. I find that I call Support several times a year over such things.

Accurate forms and data collection. Easy Payroll deduction information to use. Great client customization.

Pros

Gathering completed forms with no more missing information or data from employers and employees. I like the central access point to manage new group enrollments as well as open enrollment changes.

Cons

It would be nice to receive specific notifications when a particular employee has made a change or completed their enrollment, etc. Other than that the system is great.

Pros

I like how intuitive the software is; everything is where I think it will be.

Cons

I don't like that I have to add certain history manually (for example, the previously-taken PTO in EaseHR).

Pros

It is much easier to manage groups than other SW I've used, and clients enjoy the change to a simpler, online option.

Cons

Trouble shooting still is required often, as the "human error" still comes into play (if client profiles/groups/policies have not been set-up correctly for the client.)

Lots of pros but what sticks out most is: 1) The seamless integration of data onto enrollment forms. No more back and forth with employees correcting/completing paperwork. Such a time saver. 2) Straightforward online portal to ease enrollment for employees and access for employers/admin and us as brokers. Everything is right there.

Cons

Nothing really. Any processes that could've been simplified have already been implemented... sometimes before I even realize that there was an easier way.

Pros

Ease of employee onboarding and administration. Generate reports easily. Rates and benefits are easily viewed and compared. I no longer have to conduct enrollment meetings in person. Forms are submitted complete and are processed quickly as a result.

Pros

After trying a wide variety of ben admin systems, my favorite aspects of EaseCentral are that it's easy to setup, user friendly for group administrators and employees to use, and it creates a centralized database with a record of all benefits decisions that are available 24/7 from anywhere. Our team can setup a client in a matter of hours even after QA testing. Anyone who's been through long setups with other systems knows the importance of being able to launch quickly. The EaseCentral system was designed and continues to evolve in ways that make almost any benefits program and contribution strategy a possibility to deploy.

Cons

Product updates and new capabilities happen so quickly that if you miss a couple weeks of updates, you can be really behind.

My group enrollments and renewals are streamlined with the Ease platform. In this day and age you can't ask for much more than that.

Pros

Having all of my group's vital information at my fingertips is what is most exciting. The Ease of employee enrollment is extremely exciting to me.

Cons

I wish there was a file feed option. This would allow all of the entered data to feed directly over to said carrier.

The experience was fine at first. Learning curve. Software limitations to work around. The termination experience was really shady. It should be illegal to put 90 day termination clauses in contracts where all of their expense is on the setup (which takes all of 15 minutes). There is virtually zero cost to them once the system is up and running. Especially if you have been a client for years. I would steer my friends elsewhere.

Pros

Ease helped us with multi state enrollment. It works well with tech savvy employer groups and simple one time enrollments.

Cons

It can be cumbersome to set the software up for year round use. It is fine to do an open enrollment, but getting the dates correct caused some frustration. It definitely has some limitations and their pricing model is a bit outdated. It does not count how many employees are currently in the system. It counts how many employees have ever been added to the system (even terminated employees). The real 'gotcha' is when you leave. They have a 90 day termination clause. So, when you find a superior alternative (and you will) they will charge you for an additional 3 months 'because it is in the contract'. There is zero cost to them since nobody will be using the system. Buyer beware. Read every line of the contract and see if you can negotiate your way out of the 90 day termination.

I love EaseCentral. There is a learning curve, but support is extremely helpful. They can even log into the client you are working with and help you with specifics.

Pros

I love that the employees can log in and review their benefits and make their elections themselves, leaving me time for other things.

Cons

There is a lot of setup to do, but as I learn to use it I am finding the shortcuts.
