April 25, 2022 4.0 Pros I own travel agency and Spyfu is especially useful for my PPC campaigns. The tool is great for looking at competitors Keywords. Additionally, it shows Organic search results as well. In addition, I am pleased to see they have their own strength - keyword research - rather than focusing on too many features at once. Cons My campaigns target international audiences, so it doesn't matter so much to me, but the only drawback of spyfu is that it does not have a local database for my country. Pros When doing keyword research and planning Google Ad campaigns, we looked for a tool to help us understand what competitors were doing. SpyFu solved that problem perfectly, giving us a snapshot of our competition, what keywords to target, and more! Cons There was very few things we did not like about the software. Pros It performs its main purpose well, enabling a quick outlook at competitors' performance across a series of well-defined KPIs. Cons There are often times where SpyFu fails to show any metrics at all in cases where it should. It doesn't seem like a bug but rather a lack of info. Perhaps they will expand on this in the future. Pros It has a lot of functions and I like the fact you can track keywords with it. I also found the reporting aspect was very good and gave clear data which I could share with my customers. Cons I decided to go with other tools as I could get a lot of the data from free tools and didn't really need to spend the money on this one. Pros I paid for a membership for a while, it was reasonable and the dashboard is easy to use. the exporting features is also handy, You can export files like Csv. or pdfs. Cons I did not find metrics I was interested in collecting. On top of that, most of the websites and local companies I was interested in searching were not available on Spyfu. Great to spy on your competition to see what keywords and traffic they use. It's a great tool but it's for medium and large businesses on a national level. Cons SpyFu is not very useful for local businesses who target a specific location and advertise locally only. Steep learning curve. You can easily find out what keywords your competitors are already ranking for and new backlink opportunities by entering website URLs. I also find insights can also be useful for creating new content ideas for a website. Clients love it when you can show them what keywords their competitors are targeting using this tool. Pros It gives you great insight into your competition and your competitors competition. It helps us make an educated guess based on real analytics to help improve our site and our client's site. Cons It can be pretty expensive but it's ultimately worth it in ROI. I've used it for much more than it actually is and I have found ways to make it better.
