EyeFinity EHR has been an exceptional addition to our practice.

Pros

EyeFinity EHR has been a fantastic system for our practice. One of the standout features is the iPad app, which allows our doctors to remain fully present and engaged with patients during exams, rather than having to turn away to use a computer. This helps maintain a personal connection with patients and enhances the overall experience. The system itself is incredibly user-friendly, with one-touch charting that makes documenting exams quick and efficient. The intuitive design of the interface ensures that our workflow is smooth, allowing us to focus more on patient care. Overall, EyeFinity EHR has been an excellent addition to our practice, combining convenience with a strong patient-centered approach.

I have zero cons. It's been great all the way around.

### "Quick and efficient EHR"

It has been great. Reduced charting time by over 50% from exam writer.

Pros

The Ipad app makes it so quick and easy to chart.

Cons

The software is still fairly new so there is a lot of room for improvement. They release updates ever 2 mos or so correcting these issues.

My overall experience with EPM has been one that most everyone should have. I love EPM!

Pros

There are many features that this software has that most other PM systems do not. I would say that the program strives to be the best and the consistent updates and changes is a sure sign.

Cons

Not being able to ad insurance plans on our own. However, an email to support is a quick turnaround.

### "Happy with EHR but not EPM"

I feel like the EHR is an excellent product, but unfortunately the above 3 issues are going to cause me to look into other software solutions in my practice in the future. It would behoove Eyefinity to reach out to some of their customers' key staff/billing/optical managers on how to improve EPM.

Pros

It is cloud based. I actually really like the EHR part.

Cons

1\. Ledger/insurance pending quick reference for a patient is not visible on the overview page, making it more time consuming for my staff to look up. It also makes it more difficult for front desk staff to look up for collecting fees from patients. 2. Ordering glasses is MUCH more time consuming for my staff than it was with Officemate. This cost my practice money because it ties up staff doing orders instead of working on other tasks. This = more staff required to run my office. 3. The inability of key staff persons to override things in the system. I understand theft prevention, but there can be other systems of checks and balances put in place in a practice. I get it. I have been stolen from but drs cannot rely on software to do the monitoring for them.

### "Better than nothing"

The very simple eye exams are easy but people with multiple issues take forever to complete an exam. Poor ability to notify front desk about referrals, not easy to find glasses orders or contact orders without logging into a separate system.

Pros

Auto fill capabilities make it helpful. Integrated with my autophoropter which is great.

Cons

Scrolling. More scrolling. If I’m using a 24 inch monitor I should not have to constantly scroll up and down to finish an exam element. Fit everything within the screen. Don’t take up half my work area on static information I don’t need when performing an exam. Inability to easily see what is in the practice management side. So much of what we do involves the front deck and opticians, who only use the pm side. There is no way to communicate to front desk or see if glasses or contacts were ordered without logging into a separate system.

### "Good, but could be great...."

I think this is a really good practice management software. I have used two other systems in the past and this is by the best. However, the glitches that occur seemingly on a monthly basis are frustrating.

Pros

The integration with VSP and ABB Optical Group really is a time saving tool.

Cons

The constant issues that occur after almost EVERY UPDATE! It seems like well over 50% of every update causes some sort of glitch. I don't understand why these things continue to happen.

### "STAY WITH OFFICEMATE"

It's basic and when it works it's fine, but it has too delicate of an equilibrium to be useful, especially with billing. Glasses orders literally are stressful to staff and take MUCH too long to do correctly. If a mistake is made, it is not easily fixable.

Pros

Ability to access remotely.

Cons

Frequent glitches or system not accessible during workday recently. Concerns and recommended updates disregarded. VSP Premier Edge advertised on home page- "Premier" misleads patients into thinking that a doctor who sells more VSP products and frames is better that a doctor who uses other products.

It is too expensive for the overall package it delivers

I can log in remotely and review patient info

Cons

It is not as easy to look up financial histories and reports vs other softwares. The EHR part of the equation is a VERY clicky software. It takes the doctor and average of 4-6 clicks of the mouse to accomplish the simplest documentation note. Imagine doing that for 10-15 different categories of tests.

This product needs a LOT of help and to me its apparent your development team didn't work with multiple offices to see how different they can operate.

Pros

Ease of using VSP Products & Eligibility

Cons

The separation of PM and EHR, claim processing times out all the time, you can't change patient payments, using non-vsp lab products is a pain, posting orders that have a "warning" like opposite signs or maui orders dont process. The warning should come at time of posting not after. The inventory section of the system is a joke. Customer service takes forever to assist. Honestly this box isn't big enough for me to type all the terrible things about this product. We honestly regret switching.

Generally our experience is good, is seems updates tend to cause hiccups/setbacks so we'd appreciate the rollout process to improved upon

Generally easy to use interface for scheduling and ordering

Cons

Improvements should be made so the patient account indicates their DOB from any account tab, the insurance tab should indicate their ID# without entering the edit screen.

It's been good and when needing help, the 800 number works out well.

Pros

The ease of using the portal makes the work day flow.

Cons

When printing the daily schedule's, when two doctors are working, it'd be better to be able to print two schedules. Now it prints as just one long schedule and then we have to cut it. Also, the Quick List - It'd be easier if the last patient pulled up, shows up first in the Quick List, instead of having to go through the whole list. Because of this, unfortunately it is a feature that we don't even access any longer.

It makes it easy to attach the exam to materials, and the actual material selection is easy and straight forward.

GLITCHES. BUGS. Basically any time I have to use insurance for an order its a nightmare.

It’s a complete ehr system that specifically addresses eye care provider needs.

Cons

Very click heavy. Contains far too much information such as every contact lens known to man. Only about 50 percent of those contacts are still used today.

### "A very good EHR with great upside"

Over all as an earlier adapter I have been happy the see the software evolve at a decent pace.

Pros

Protocols allow for increased speed and efficiency. For a medically oriented practice like ours I love the high levels of documentation possible. Routine or wellness eye exams are very quick and efficient. The smart fields are a good feature as well as quick documentation of visual acuities. The ability to import prescription medications from the patient's pharmacy is a great timesaver and enhances accuracy.

Cons

The documentation for newer technologies like OCT angiography, Digital color vision testing, ERG's, Dark Adaptometry etc needs to be improved upon for better customization and flow. The most common dosages of prescription medications need to be better customized per user for automated filling of data fields.

Reason for choosing Eyefinity Encompass

Good transition of data from Examwriter to Eyefinity EHR without loosing much detail from previous exams. I also like the programing direction of the software. I had conversations with \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] early on and liked the direction and foresight for the software.

Overall I like EHR. It's easy to use and the design is aesthetically pleasing. I can find all of the pertinent chart info on the left side and quickly see particular chart highlights on the right side beside each visit.

Everything is laid out very plainly in EHR so it's easy to use. I like the sidebar on the left side showing a quick recap of the patient chart (med history, ocular history, meds, allergies, family history). For other softwares, I have to scroll through individual pages.

Cons

I always have trouble remembering where the pharmacy and PCP tab is. It should be a little easier to find those since they're used a lot.

Overall I do really like the software. It has a few issues, it was created I believe by someone not in optometry, so it's not as well rounded as Revolution. But over all it's easy to use and has all of your basics. Integrates wonderfully with EHR.

Pros

Everything was extremely easy to use. Very user friendly and fast. Finding patients in the system is very quick and easy as well.

Cons

Having to switch back and forth between EPM and EHR. It's a hassle and I wish everything was on the same software system.

Pros

The software is easy to learn quickly and since it’s based off of another popular platform it’s easy to hire people that are familiar with its use. Integration with VSP is excellent and since it’s cloud based easy to open/ move stores and get up and running quickly.

Cons

New technologies have some glitches that need to be worked on, but team at EPM are very quick to take feedback and work on it.
