Pros: The management. Frontline Professional Growth helps me manage my staff/teachers and their professional development hours over the course of the year. The system does a nice job streamlining catalogs of course offerings, and managing and awarding the hours after they have attended. There are some good pieces here with the ability to integrate formal digital forms that staff may need to sign and submit and designate routing procedures for these forms that must go to certain individuals to digitally "sign-off" as approval. There is also the nice availability to staff that they can check their profile and track their status whenever they want to see how many hours they have accumulated each year, or over time.

Cons: Some things that seem as though they should be simple to use, often take a bit of time to figure out how to use or become cumbersome. Creating your own digital forms are difficult and more of a hassle than submitting a ticket for Frontline Support to create for you. Also, the layouts of these forms are restricted and cannot do some advanced setups/arrangements that may not meet the look and feel you were going for.

Overall: This has helped me keep track of the professional growth of my staff in easier ways than I was prior.

I am more familiar with OASYS than MLP.

Pros: OASYS has been well received by administrators and teachers. The support we get from Steve Bergendorff is amazing.

Cons: There is more that I would like to learn and would like to dedicate time to attending an in-depth training directly from the Frontline trainers, not our BOCES trainer.

Pros: I like how Frontline Professional Growth sends an email about upcoming PD you've registered for. This way I know that I am getting credit for it. Also, from an Admin Asst side of things, applying for a qualifying professional development class is super simple. The approval process is visible, so I can at any time check and see the status of my request. The ability to print sign in sheets and check attendance online is very convenient.

Cons: I don't have any cons about using Frontline Professional Growth. It is a great product and even better now that we have the ability to centralize all of our Frontline products in one place.

Pros: -Notifies teacher and administration of when documents are modified.

-Customizable walkthrough forms

-User friendly

-Forms easy to fill out

Cons: -Cannot use it on the iPad with Chrome. You can log in, get to the right place, and when you are ready to start typing, the typing box isn't there. All that work and you have to start over in a different browser.

Overall: I have only used it as a teacher and not an administrator. Coming from the teacher perspective it is very easy to use if you administration knows how to use it. When it is time to update your goal or sign a walkthrough, those are the only options it gives you on the front page. You do not have to go searching for it.

The feedback that can be provided to staff is usable and understandable. Most importantly, the Customer Service Support is timely and comprehensive. Our transition to Frontline Professional Growth has been extremely positive.

Pros: I liked that we were able to see and track how many professional development points we were accumulating. Human Resources was able to add points on their end, saving me from having to do it.

Cons: There seemed to be a LOT of steps involved in adding in my own professional development hours/points.
