It's a convenient tool when it comes to energy and environmental analysis of projects. Also, it can be used for feasibility studies at no cost. Pros It's very user friendly and easy to use. Also, its energy systems library and features are very comprehensive. The benchmarking strategy which RETScreen is using is not very common and it is because of the valuable resources RETScreen provides to the user (i.e. technical and economic information about variety of projects around the world) Cons It seems that the economic section of the software could be improved. For instance, the pricing for some of the equipment doesn't fit the reality and it requires more frequent updates.
