Pros i have been using DonorBox since 2020 and it has been really awesome for my donation tracking as a small business. i am able to upload the form on to my website, and it feels super easy. it is so helpful for retention of donations, and i feel like that alone gives me great value for the service. Pros Donorbox has allowed me to create different campaigns that support the different fundraising moments I have in a year! They have a fantastic template that is easy to use with an opportunity to preview as I go. I love that I can use both a one time and a monthly donation option, add information about my thank you gifts an create my own art images to keep my brand consistent! Cons The only thing I would change is with the field boxes on the donation creation page. Right now, it's in a straight line. Pros One of the biggest advantages of us using Donorbox has been the seamless integration that allowed us to customize with our branding so our campaign felt consistent with our brand image. I also appreciate the option to set up recurring donations, which has helped us build more predictable funding and strengthen ongoing support. Cons I'd love to see a bit more robust customization options. While forms are generally nice, advanced design customization often requires CSS, which requires more technical knowledge. Additionally, between Donorbox’s percentage and Stripe/PayPal processing fees, it can add up when donations increase. If you are a small business or non-profit, I think Donorbox is the best choice. Pros First of all, we are a very small non-profit with hardly any money, so the fact that Donorbox lets you start for free is invaluable. We have been able to do all of our initial fundraising through Donorbox and it has been very easy. I was offered and took advantage of an online meeting with a Donorbox staff person who answered all of my questions. And they keep track of so much information for us regarding our donors and donations. For someone who is just starting out in the fundraising world, I think Donorbox has been a fantastic. I did a lot of research before I picked the Donorbox fundraising platform and it has been everything I hoped for and more. So far (about four months) I haven't needed the paid version of the service, but when I get there, I will gladly be willing to upgrade. They provide a great deal of customer support. Whenever I have a question, I can send an email and they get right back to me. Cons Right now I can't think of anything about the service that has been a problem. They have helped me with all of my questions and resolved the minor issues I have had. For example, I couldn't figure out how to embed the donation campaign on my page. Their base-plan is in reach for most non-profits that are small or just starting out, so you can focus putting those donation dollars back into your mission, providing high value for your money! If you are looking for a platform to manage your non-profit donations, I highly recommend DonorBox! Pros I like they provide the tools necessary to build and install website forms on your website! Not only the forms, but they provide add-ons to popular services like Zapier, Salesforce, Mailchimp and more! Oh, and not only do they provide donation tracking, but you can manage your Staff and Volunteer's without the need for a separate service. DonorBox is reliable and secure. Pros I looked at a lot of crowding funding platforms before I decided on Donorbox for my fundraiser. It seemed to have the best reviews so I was attracted to the platform for its ethical practices and loved that it had an incredibly low interest rate and because you have some control over editing and the look of your fundraiser's page! We've used it to sell tickets for a fundraiser, set up recurring donations, and donation acknowledgments. For now, we've stayed with the free version, but with a growing organization, we may be looking to upgrade in the near future. Cons Fees are quite costly (a high percentage), but we do get to use the free version, so they fees are covering what we may otherwise pay for a subscription. It is easy to adjust our giving options to suit our donors, and incorporate once off fundraisers which is great. Pros It is easy to use and easy to embed into our website to make it easy for our donors. I love that payouts are very quick. Our organisation works with street children and we often have emergencies that require funds quickly, we don't have to wait a month for a payout of emergency donations. Cons Nothing, it is fantastic. It would be great if people were able to make donations monthly through PayPal however we work around this option by providing a paypal link for our monthly donors.
