Misery. Website and reporting features are poor relative to ADP; customer service was atrocious.

Pros

I am the treasurer for two organizations. One uses ADP, and one uses Primepay. Relative to ADP, Primepay has no particular strengths.

Cons

Very poor customer support; often told they would get back to us but more than half the time they never did. Could not withhold Philadephia wage tax from two of our employees despite multiple requests to do so. Switched to ADP who did the taxes correctly, then Primepay his us with a $2K early termination fee. Just an awful experience.

Overall, I like PrimePay. We have used it for payroll for longer than I have been at the company. The reports are great and useful. The customer service can take a while, which can be frustrating.

Pros

Primepay is easy to use and has helpful features for payroll purposes. It works well for our transportation company with many different kinds of employees.

Cons

PrimePay support service is difficult to reach. There are resources available, but it usually takes an hour to speak to a customer service representative.

There were some bumps with tax reporting and check delivery, which Primepay has been working diligently to correct. I have seen significant improvement in their processes.

Pros

The ability to have so much control over the process, and the customization Primepay provides to meet organization needs. PrimePay is responsive, and offers accessible support.

Cons

We no longer have a dedicated payroll professional for our organization.

PrimePay is the best Benefits vendor we have. Very thankful they administer our HRA.

Pros

We have worked with PrimePay for 5 years. Any time I call with a question the representative is very knowledgeable and helpful. Questions are handled on the first call. Hold times are very short. PrimePay is an extension of our Benefits team. They make the benefits side of my job easier. Employees are happy to have an HRA. PrimePay makes it easy for me to offer it.

Cons

They do everything so well. If I have to list something, make the website more clear. The website is fine if you frequent it. I have to relearn as I don't use it often.

Been using PrimePay for more than 10 years. I have used all of the others but Primepay is the best!

Pros

Ease of use and customer service is the best but seldom needed. All services are integrated into one module. No logging back into another system to get your reports like some others.

Cons

Cost is moderately high but not the highest cost provider

I had talked to them before the holiday and we thought a problem was resolved. I called back in and we talked for about 5 minutes and the issue was resolved.

Pros

Ease of accessing the payroll portal. Helpful employees

Cons

I have nothing to share negatively. I called in and had to wait about 10 minutes, which the day after a holiday was short.

Excellent service and easy to read reports.

Pros

The payroll is processed very quickly and accurately. Also, it is very easy to reach someone if we need assistance-and they are always friendly and knowledgeable.

Cons

We sometimes have difficulty preparing a custom report. However, the Prime Pay associates have always been willing and able to help us.

Quick response to my needs is certainly an asset for me. Prime Pay responds quickly and efficiently to me inquirea and needs.

Cons

Waiting times when I need to call is many times too long.The music played while waiting for an agent is like doing pennance.

I've enjoyed my experience and appreciate PrimePay services.

Pros

I appreciate the onboarding capabilities and a solid range of contacts that are willing to help in various focus areas like payroll, taxes, HR, etc.

Cons

I wish there was a more seamless way to replicate an employee in one business to another. For example, when I have a staff member that works in both of our territories, it can be time consuming to manually add them into the second territory. I understand there's probably legal implications that make it difficult so I'm not sure I have a suggested fix.

Overall, my experience has been very positive. I have never come away with a feeling of asking dumb questions or whatever I did can't be fixed.

Pros

I started using PrimePay because of the Worker Comp pay as you go feature along with being a small business, insurance can be a problem to obtain. Since then I have become dependent upon PrimePay to keep me compliant with payroll and tax responsibilities.

Cons

Since the rapid growth of PrimePay, I am not able to reach help as quickly as previously. In the beginning, I had a payroll specialist assigned to me and we were able to build a relationship. Now I may or may not get a return call and when I'm in panic mode it can be frustrating.

Nothing, sold us a service and they are unable to follow through

Cons

You don't care. Just sent an issue to someone and the person responding just provided suggestions rather than looking into the issue

Our overall experience has been good and the implementation team has been wonderful.

Pros

Position control feature, time and attendance module is very robust. The implementation process has been efficient and organized.

Cons

The workflows for job changes, status changes, pay rates, etc. does not have the ability to create multiple approval levels. PrimePay could really improve on making this process more dynamic and be customable from the client side.

overall experience has been average-good.... i use their payroll and it's been pretty solid.... offer their compliance services like cobra.... i'm pretty sure i still offer erisa too.... use their fsa services too for a client

Pros

found out that the company is actually still private. i like that about primepay. i don't really like doing business with public companies because they tend to only care about the shareholders.

Cons

sometimes they don't get back to you.... give you incorrect information.... tell you that you need to do something that you ended up not needing to do and time ended up being wasted.... all areas for improvement as we all have those....

This is the very first time I have been treated with extreme patience and kindness. She was very thorough and knowledgeable when calling in my payroll and ALWAYS had a nice, pleasant voice. She is the best BEST Payroll Rep I have every had the pleasure of speaking with. I hope to have her again on my next call or in the near future! Please keep her happy and you, as well as ALL clients will be satisfied and happy to call PrimePay! Thank you again!

Making payroll has generally been a good experience but overall it has not been an A+ experience. More like 85%, a B+. It could be better.

Pros

Customer support with \[sensitive content hidden\] is great. He is the best.

Cons

I received a report from the IRS that I owe $2,700 extra for my quarterly payroll. I believe it is being taken care of but I have received no word on it in the new year. This is very concerning. A minor issue is that Software has been glitchy. Things like printing invoice receipts has been difficult. There are times when my employee data reports address errors when there are none.
