Overall, PrimePay has been a solid payroll solution for our firm. It does a great job managing the essential aspects like tax filings and reporting, which we really appreciate. However, having more user control and quicker, more helpful support would really take the service to the next level. It’s reliable for the most part, but there’s definitely some room for improvement.

Pros

One of the biggest advantages of using PrimePay is how seamlessly it handles all tax filings and quarterly reports. It’s a huge time-saver and gives peace of mind knowing everything is filed accurately and on time. The automation of these tasks helps reduce manual errors and ensures compliance without having to constantly monitor deadlines.

Cons

While the automation is great, I’ve found that there’s limited flexibility when it comes to making changes or adjustments to payroll runs. The platform can feel a bit restrictive, especially if last-minute edits are needed. Additionally, the communication with customer support could be improved. Responses are sometimes delayed, and it would be easier if we had a direct contact to reach out to for time pressing issues.

So far, Primepay is what I would have expected in a payroll company. The processing is easy. If I need help with a special payroll or have any questions the representatives to this point have been stellar.

Pros

They were able to work with me to keep my processing costs low. I historically only use my payroll companies for processing and nothing else

Cons

I have been with them for less than a year. So it is hard to choose a "con". However for some reason I was getting charged more for my payroll monthly than my proposal stated. It was fixed, and then happened again. So it seems to be a computer glitch that needs to be fixed.

My experience with PrimePay has been excellent. The platform made our Open Enrollment and new benefits program implementation smooth and efficient. Our consultant was knowledgeable, professional, and easy to work with—always meeting deadlines and communicating clearly. Overall, PrimePay provided the right tools and support to ensure a successful rollout, and I would highly recommend them.

Pros

I recently completed the implementation of a newly structured benefits program for Open Enrollment using PrimePay as our HRIS, and the experience was excellent. Our benefits consultant, \[sensitive content hidden\], was outstanding throughout the entire process. He was extremely knowledgeable about the system and benefit plan structures, which gave me confidence at every step. He consistently delivered his work on time, communicated clearly, and always made himself available for questions or guidance. Beyond his professionalism, he was friendly, approachable, and truly a pleasure to collaborate with. I would highly recommend him to anyone implementing a benefits program, and I would absolutely welcome the opportunity to work with him again in the future.

Cons

One area of improvement is around branding clarity. There can be some ambiguity in how PrimePay and SyncHR are marketed and presented, which at times makes it difficult to distinguish the two platforms and understand their positioning. Clearer, more consistent branding would help avoid confusion.

Overall the experience has not been too terrible but definitely frustrating when we do not get responses when things are not done correctly and it is out of our control

Pros

I like the quarterly reports all being handled by primepay to remove the stress from quarterly time in our office. Also their way to accommodate to us like being able to print checks for our clients

Cons

Our company has had some communication issues with taxes being paid in correctly or overpaid from switching over mid-year. We also have trouble getting ahold of people at times when our clients are frustrated and want answers

### "The Difference between PrimePay and Competitors"

Technology is both a blessing and a curse. The same can be said about PrimePay. It takes work to keep up with technology, but there is a nice payoff if you are patient. Things have not been perfect since we onboarded 5 months ago, but I can honestly say every rep I have spoken to has worked hard to fix issues and has made sure we are happy. They have been very responsive and have followed thru on every ticket submitted. I can't say that for my last two payroll companies. I've been an HR Manager for 3 decades now, and I can tell you there is no one software that is perfect. The best you can hope for nowadays is minimal problems and for good customer service to make software issues minimal. Previously we were with a big well known payroll service and were paying high rates for poor customer service. I am happy we made the change to PrimePay because now our costs are reasonable and the customer service has been great. I can't complain. I have attended a couple PrimePay user group meetings in the last couple months which our previous payroll service didn't offer, and I can clearly see that PrimePay listens to customer input. This is an important difference. I'd much rather have software molded to what my company needs rather then trying to force my company to fit the software. We are on a 3rd payroll company in 4 years, and we are finally happy. I hope they keep their current leadership in place for many years to come.

Pros

It's only been 5 months since we onboarded with PrimePay, and I have to say I've been impressed with the flexibility of their programs plus the customer service has been excellent.

Cons

There have been a lot of software changes recently which can be stressful at times, however, at the same time the changes have all yielded valuable benefits.

My overall experience has not been the best. We got billed for accounts that were not available to us and it took a long time to get that audited and get our refund back. It is also hard to contact our direct team and get updates, due to delayed responses.

Pros

The software is easy to navigate and use.

Cons

The inability to have more control on my account compared to other payroll software. I always have to contact support for something small when using a past payroll software, I was able to change it myself.

### "New, but not so new client"

I am relatively new to PrimePay in this regard. I am however a former client, but well before there was such an extensive online presence. I used to have a dedicated specialist I would call. As I have used several Payroll/HR companies, the PrimePay dashboard is relatively user friendly.

Pros

The support staff I would say is what I like most. In my experience they have been both professional as well as cordial.

Cons

I don't think what I like least is exclusively a PrimePay issue. There is a volume of information on how to generate reports, or complete certain actions. It's sometimes difficult to navigate by yourself, or to phrase the question you have for the search feature to find it.

I was locked into a 3 year contract, to be fair rate was excellent. While there are competent people who work there, I find that being acquired by Global has hurt their product. It took me weeks of phone calls and emails to find out what would happen once the contract ended. The people I would speak to or hear from always had to push the message along to someone else, and that someone else would never return my message. In my experience through the years working off and on with Global, they never had a good sense for working with smaller businesses.

Not a good experience. They'll make everything on their terms to be beneficial.

Pros

I was comfortable using the system and it was easy to configure the software. My franchise forces me to use Profitkeeper on the same site, so that made it easy to come to one place.

Cons

The people are shysters. They put in a clause that says we can update the contract at any time and they do that without being upfront.

I love having priority support now because before 1 yr ago it was a nightmare calling, holding over 1 hr and getting disconnected. We have been with PrimePay since 2020 when LLP was first established. We went through IRA account setup, bank account switch, pay frequency change and other small issues with PrimePay. I was a bit concerned for all major setup/change, but things have gone smoothly every time. Thank you, PrimePay!

Pros

Their knowledgeable staff are service oriented (professional, polite and helpful) and always with prompt response. The people there are very easy to work with. I especially appreciate \[sensitive content hidden\], who walked through the SIMPLE IRA EE contribution and ER matching with IRS catching up rules' setup with me, step by step over several emails and a couple phone calls. Our IRS went live in early 2022, but there are items, big and small, being solved over the 4 years we have with PrimePay. Thank you!

Cons

Nothing much... if I need to say something, it would be that I have waited for quarterly reports a little longer for a couple times. It really doesn't hurt anything, and that's the only thing I can think of.

Terrible service and quality of work. They are quick to bill for everything, but so slow to respond to questions. And we will be told one thing by one person, and the opposite thing from another person. I never can get a hold of the same person twice, so anyone I contact never knows what is going on.

Pros

Nothing. The customer service is terrible, and the quality of work is terrible, meaning we frequently have to reach out with questions and we get no answer most of the time. A simple question takes over a month to get a halfway satisfactory response from someone.

Cons

The customer service and work quality is terrible.

The software is easy to use and easy to navigate. It is easy to find information about the company and employees.

Cons

I am not in control of my own payrolls. If I make a mistake, I need to contact customer support for them to either void the whole payroll or erase the mistake I made.

Knowing that it is a difficult payroll to do she gets it done in a reasonable amount of time and she is really easy to work with! All my emails are answered within a reasonable time frame, so there are no worries when I need her becauae I know she will get back to me when she can.

Pros

I like how they improved their systems and now I can always get someone on the phone with a problem if our company's representative is unavailable.

Cons

I would not say PrimePay's issue, but we pay for overnight priority package and some times it never shows up to be delivered on time or at all. Also, some times the Invoices we get from PrimePay are over charged and wrong.

With the exception of some challenges in the Covid and post-Covid period, I have had the pleasure of working with some dedicated and knowledgeable PrimePay employees. Many years ago, a business partner insisted we switch to a competitor. After a couple of years, I came back to PrimePay.

Pros

Cons

Other CSR's have claimed to have it updated and never did.

I love the reminders when I am supposed to get everyone's hours and submit so everyone gets paid on time. GREAT move adding that feature!

Pros

I love these people! Customer service is great as I get someone to answer my "mishaps" and their babysitting technique. The prices are not the lowest but they are fair and GREAT service is worth the extra 27 cents. I will be with them for a LONNNG time!

Cons

Don't know yet ................. Life is good with PrimePay!!
