### "Non-profit savings"

Pros

I most like the aspect that Paperless Transactions works to keep the fees down for non-profits.

Cons

Honestly, when we started I would have said nothing. However, we have noticed a growing length of time from when a donor makes an ACH donation and when it processes. It started out 7-10 business days. It now is 21+ business days, sometimes as long as a month! This is not helpful to us!

Reason for choosing Paperlesstrans

We chose to go with Paperless Transactions because they were the best fit for us overall. They had the lowest fees for non-profits. It was a quick and easy switch to using them for our merchant service needs.

Paypal's fees were high for credit card donations. They were also not the easiest to use for recurring donations. So, we switched, saved money and allowed our donors ease of use with setting up donations, both one-time and recurring.

Our overall experience has been very positive as our online donations have increased dramatically since switching to Paperless. We wanted something that made the process very easy for the customer to use and this seems to do the job very well.

Pros

I appreciate the comprehensive approach that is offered through Paperless - everything from donation page design and set up to the reports generated for us regarding transactions on a regular basis. Also, I am always amazed / impressed with the prompt response to my questions or requests for help.

Cons

It did feel a little overwhelming getting it set up and ready to use - but that might have just been me as a "not-very-tech-savvy" person. But once you're up and running, it is very easy and user-friendly.

Easier to use than similar systems

Pros

The Virtual Terminal is very easy to use. It makes training new staff easy and efficient.

Cons

Changing a recurring gift can be problematic if you don't have the credit card number to update. Getting your data if you leave is a big problem. In the beginning Support was great but over the years the support for this system has really suffered. I avoid calling support if at all possible because it is so difficult to get help.

### "One company that does it all!"

Pros

This company offers everything: website, CRM, contact tools, giving & events software, & payment processing! Great service and great staff there.

Cons

Really nothing; there could maybe be a few more help resources, but their staff helped trained our administrative team and it worked out well.

Last year there were some hiccups with it automatically linking with our other software programs. Since then, there have not been any interruptions that I am aware of.

Pros

The software has been reliable and when not, support is responsive.

Cons

They provide a ton of data in monthly statements, but it is very difficult to break down payments versus fees. Maybe it is too much information, maybe it is my misunderstanding of the data. Unfortunately, the fees are a bit high, especially for a non-profit. However, they are competitive, and they provide a good service.

The Donor Never Lapse was a huge benefit that we needed and thought was going to be implemented shortly after changing processors. This has been a HUGE disappointment to us.

Pros

It is easy to look up transactions. Most gifts process without issues.

Cons

Daily failures...eg Paperless approves but SiteStacker has declined. No way to follow up with declined transactions. We were promised the Donor Never Lapse feature, but to this date it is still not implemented. Clientline & echecks are not easily reconciled. Numerous steps to track transactions. Errors during down time which causes extra work (error fetching headers).

They delivered on all their promises. We have seen an increase in both the number of donors, and in the average amount of donations given.

Pros

Easy to use for both our office personnel, and the donor.

Cons

The terminology in the compliance forms can be confusing. However, Paperless Transactions walked us through it step by step.

Cons

We didn't receive all that was promised to us. Neverlapse has never been delivered.

Pros

The texting and mass SMS service was great and so easy to use. It is a great way to quickly send out mass communication with a high open rate.

Cons

I did not use all of their solutions but the ones I did use I have no complaints.
