A great part of this success has been our independent local consultant. Pros We have been using Sage Products for about 25 years. We have been very satisfied with the stability. Cons Relatively simple customizations or modifications can become fairly expensive. This is perhaps one major hurdle in acceptance by small businesses. Years ago we added on Scanco Multibin because we needed this functionality and Sage did not have it. Now there are MANY flaws causing us hundreds hours of work to fix because of errors in expiration dates and quantities in Multibin vs Sage. Pros It's better than Quickbooks. It has importing functionality; Bills of Materials; ability for Production work orders. Cons Reporting lacks adequate options for exporting to Excel to review and analyze data. Upgrades require too much labor - requiring install on new server and data transfer. Sage did not work with third parties (Scanco) to make sure that their products still worked in the upgrade (Production Management).
