“One major limitation of the software is the lack of native 360-video integration, which restricts creators who want to build immersive or VR-style learning experiences. While Articulate 360 supports a wide range of traditional media, it does not offer tools for embedding navigable 360-degree environments, hotspots, or interactive panoramic scenes.“

### "Articulate 360 is undoubtedly the best among e-learning authoring tools"

January 5, 2025

5.0

Despite some shortcomings, it is undoubtedly the best among e-learning authoring tools. I believe that the pricing for the recently launched AI assistant feature is reasonable compared to the functions it offers.

Pros

Even non-developers can unleash their creativity to create e-learning content. The interface is similar to MS PowerPoint, making it easy and quick for anyone to learn. By using the software, users can develop logical thinking through the trigger wizard.

Cons

It is not compatible with MacBooks; a virtual machine is required to use it on a Mac. The speed of the created content is not very fast and feels somewhat heavy. As a Korean, I find that support for the Korean language is lacking in areas such as text input, font compatibility, and TTS provision.

### "Industry leader for reasons "

September 12, 2025

5.0

It’s the industry standard for very good reasons. Always paying attention and evolving. Excellent functionality and support. Not complacent.

Pros

Despite not having any viable competition these products keep evolving to meet the needs of users- vs most software whose roadmaps and releases cater to courting new users.

Cons

Review 360, while miles ahead of any other solution is still maturing. I’d like to see more alignment with specific “slides” and the ability to use both markup and images in feedback

### "It does what you need it to, most of the time"

November 13, 2025

3.0

It’s the industry standard. If you’re an instructional designer, you will have to be familiar with the Articulate suite. Is it the best/most magical product in the world? No, but it has name recognition and still holds a virtual monopoly on the market. It gets the job done, with some frustrations along the way. Their more recent feature rollouts have been pretty solid, so I am cautiously optimistic about the future of their offerings.

Pros

It does the job you need it to, which is course creation. Rise is great for rapid elearning development and Storyline is great for more interactive type trainings. The text to speech voiceover and the localization features are exciting.

Cons

It is a very slowly evolving product, and the Articulate team often prioritizes more gimmicky features over responding to the requests of their users.

### "Articulate, purchase it, you won't regret it!"

September 15, 2025

5.0

Articulate is very easy to use, and I appreciate the updates and changes they have made over the years. The product truly improves monthly and all of the changes they have made thus far have made my job easier and my modules professional.

Pros

The ease of use. I use Storyline to create my module scenarios. Publishing to Review and then placing into Rise is a breeze. Within Storyline the use of AI and triggers is easy, and Rise blocks and customization make my modules consistent. The branding is Rise is easy to set up and maintain. I also use the AI text to speech and the AI image generator. Both are easy to use and customize.

Cons

I don't have any cons. I've been using Articulate for about 13 years and love using it. Their customer support is top notch, and I've learned a LOT from their webinars and eLearning Heroes community.

I have 5 years of experience using the Storyline I enjoy the ease of use and beautiful interface Articulate Review is especially beneficial when working across apartments and gathering feedback from the client.

Pros

The application suite is feature-rich, intuitive, visually appealing, allows developers to publish content in multiple formats. It has great accessibility tools, and great customizations

Cons

The price can be prohibitive for small businesses. Improvement of the integrated voices for text to speech. It is also not a cross-platform package. Would appreciate a Mac version.

I<m working with Storyline since 2019 and always had the possibility to improve my work to our client specifications.

Pros

User friendly, versatile, fast and efficient customer support. Variables and triggers are easy to use.

Cons

Should have more complete features for French language (ai, neural voices, etc.) Images and character bank should present more types of workers in accordance with what we see in industry (eg. workers wearing appropriate PPE used in Canadian industry).

### "Articulate Course Building is a Breeze but..."

August 13, 2025

4.0

Overall Articulate was a fantastic investment that our team was easity able to build and launch. It has tools that keep learners involved and those that manage them informed. We did revert back to launching scorm packages into our old LMS due to the way they count active users which is definitely not what we wanted to do but we love the other products of the Articulate suite. The LMS is a good platform.. if you don't have too many users.

Pros

The platform is highly user-friendly, making course creation fast and intuitive with ready-to-use building blocks and pre-designed content. It equips instructional designers with comprehensive tools to develop effective and engaging learning experiences. Learners benefit from a seamless navigation experience, while interactive elements help maintain their engagement throughout the course.

Cons

When deploying courses to the Reach360 LMS, the method used to count active users appears misleading. Each user is counted once per month, meaning a single user can be counted up to 12 times per year. This quickly consumes the allotted number of active users. Unfortunately, this detail was not disclosed during the pre-purchase process, despite my direct inquiry to a representative about the annual user count. Reporting could be improved and further allowance of quiz scores to be reported rather than just one test score per course.

Articulate is super easy to lean and they have the best support-quick response time - hands down. The AI capabilities have really made the course development process so much faster too

### "Articulate 360 24/7"

September 11, 2025

5.0

A newer user to and I am beyond thrilled with the capability, the support and the resources. The entire Articulate community is a huge selling point to continue using the suite of services as well as expanding knowledge base to understand and improve learning outcomes and design efforts.

Pros

is an essential product used in my work and has improved outcomes exponentially. This software is extensive and includes a great deal of information and suite of capabilities needed to improve learning outcomes.

Cons

A little nuanced of feedback, but sometimes in Storyline when selecting options the first click doesn’t seem to resonate with the system. I find having to include a text entry or a hotspot for example requires a second click for it to be activated.

### "Unmatched creative freedom with Storyline 360"

October 22, 2025

5.0

It has been great, however the learning curve is a bit steep for Storyline and can be intimidating. Most people are put off at first but once they get into it they love it.

Pros

I choose because of the3 unmatched level of creative freedom. I have yet to find anything else like it on the market.

Cons

I find that the most frustrating part about this service is the glitches in hover or other states when using icons or other graphics and shapes.

### "You get what you pay for"

December 23, 2025

4.0

Pros

I used the Rise 360 platform within to author a course for asynchronous teacher training on an educational technology tool. I liked that I was able to quickly and easily create a professional looking course that included all the features I wanted. It allowed me to create required checkpoints, use a variety of features, and export to a Moodle instance for completion. Customer support was responsive and answered my questions. I like that there were lots of options within the suite, including the more in-depth video creation and detailed interactive tools available in Storyline. Rise was sufficient for my needs.

Cons

The price - it is very expensive to subscribe. I tested it out on the free trial and while it's excellent and probably the highest quality on the market, the cost is absolutely out of reach for small private schools, independent consultants, and other small-time players. It's disappointing that excellent tools aren't available if you don't have a huge budget.

### "Reliable tools for fast, clear training"

November 13, 2025

5.0

My experience with has been strong. The tools support fast development, clear training, and simple collaboration. They help me build consistent content for technical audiences and keep training up to date with process changes.

Pros

The tools are easy to learn and fast to use. Rise helps me build clean, structured courses without extra design work. Storyline gives me the control I need for simulations and interactive practice. Review keeps feedback organized so updates stay simple. The suite works together in a smooth flow that saves time.

Cons

Rise limits layout control when I build technical content. Storyline takes more time to update when courses grow. Media compression in Rise lowers the quality of detailed images and videos.

### "Simply the Best"

November 18, 2025

5.0

Having used , and particularly Storyline for close to a decade, after extensive use of competing products, it is the best choice in an authoring program for eLearning, The functionality, which includes layers, triggers, states, and variables provides a flexibility and creative possibilities that can’t be found in any other authoring tools. The customer support is amazing. Their eLearning Heroes community is responsive and supportive far beyond anything I have experienced from any other software company. And it keeps getting better, with continuous significant, upgrades, including AI now build right into Storyline.

Pros

Versatility: can be used to do about anything I imagine. Storyline provides a group of features I can't find in any other authoring program: layers, triggers, states, and variables

Cons

Hard to get a seat at their presentations at conferences. The learning curve goes on forever, but that's really a good thing, because Storyline can do so much.

### "Nerding Out At Articuland"

October 22, 2025

5.0

It is very effective for our process where our SMEs will upload narrated PowerPoints and allows us to bring the content more to life. I am excited to integrate more variables and references as learned from the sessions today.

Pros

User experience and adaptability to screen size makes content digestible for students. They tell us they prefer rise content on their phone and tablets to traditional learning materials like PDFs or recorded lectures.

Cons

Tables with subscripts/superscripts often cause my Storyline to crash. I find that subscripts/superscripts change upon publish to Review 360 and/or LMS and almost always require a manual re-edit.

### "Articulate is a Great Authoring Tool"

September 12, 2025

5.0

Pros

, especially Rise, is so intuitive and makes creating engaging eLearnings easy to handle. Rise makes creating eLearnings fast and effective, while Articulate Storyline makes custom courses possible. If you can imagine a scenario or interaction, most likely Storyline can make it happen. Articulate is also always making improvements to its creation process, whether through AI capabilities or the ability to enhance accessibility for all learners.

Cons

While Rise is changing a lot and becoming more customizable (especially with custom blocks), there are still aspects (like text over images for flip cards) that would be beneficial. There are a couple of things that I have seen mention or asked about in the Articulate community that have not been addressed in road maps, despite users asking about them years prior.

### "Great versatility for Training Solutions"

November 14, 2025

5.0

I was introduced to the suite in my graduate Instructional Design program. I have gone on to use it my workplace as a Training Specialist. I love the flexibility that these tools have to create tailor-made training items for my specific needs.

Pros

Learning how to create courses and publish them has a gentle learning curve for new users. If you can make a PowerPoint, you can create a Storyline module. Rise has seamless options for including Storyline module or other pieces of media.

Cons

The included assets are limited (characters, for example), and I have to go outside the software for most images.

### "Articulate 360 is great!"

September 13, 2025

Great experience. I am able to create content quickly with little to no big challenges. I am able to seamlessly integrate data collection through the use of variable and Javascript.

Pros

I primarily only use Storyline 360 due to the confidentiality requirement for my clients. Features I like are: the ease of use, the ability to customize it in so many ways, the ease of publishing and implementation, the help from the eLearning Heroes community. I also like the AI Assistant.

Cons

Working with tables are clunky, copying, pasting and cropping photos/graphics are sometimes challenging, the wording of the triggers at times can be a little confusing. I wish there was a Mac version.

### "My Go-To Platform for Building Online Courses"

October 30, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with has been very positive. It’s an easy-to-use platform for creating online training courses. The tools work well together, and I like how Rise 360 helps build modern, responsive courses quickly, while Storyline 360 gives me the flexibility to design more interactive and custom content. Collaboration through Review 360 also makes it simple to collect feedback and make improvements. Although the price is on the higher side and there’s a bit of a learning curve with Storyline, the overall quality, support, and regular updates make it worth it. In short, Articulate 360 has made my course development process faster, smoother, and more professional.

Pros

The tools are user-friendly and Rise 360 lets you build beautiful, responsive courses quickly. I also really like Review 360, which makes it simple to get feedback and make changes without confusion. Overall, it helps save time and makes course creation smooth and enjoyable.

Cons

Storyline 360 takes some time to learn - it’s powerful but not very beginner-friendly. Sometimes the software updates can be large and take a while to install, which slows down work a bit.

### "Industry Standard and Instructional Design must-know"

September 11, 2025

4.0

Great! Industry standard. I used this tool to help flesh out my portfolio. It’s also great to quickly create a course catalog for any business.

Pros

I like that there’s an option for RISE which is fast web-based. Easy to create courses that are polished and fast to deploy. As well as, Storyline is more robust and have more creative code-based courses. Review 360 helps me aggregate feedback. Reach 360 is a useful to share content and courses without an additional LMS cost.

Cons

Storyline is challenging. It’s code based meaning if you understand variables and if-then statements you can use it. The use of layers is great but also complicated. However if you master it it’s pretty amazing ( see escape rooms built ) RISE is great place to throw your content and organize it into a more understandable bite-site blocks. I don’t like how the font selection is small. Also it would be great if there would be companion job aids with the same themeing slick looks

### "Always Innovating & Improving"

October 22, 2025

5.0

I’m essentially self-taught when it comes to Articulate. I started using it years ago and then didn’t use it for several years. Once I started using it again, it all came rushing back pretty quickly. I attend as many webinars as I can that Articulate puts on - they’re a huge part of my learning.

Pros

I’ve been a long time user of Articulate and watched them grow, innovate and just get better and better. From the growth of the eLearning Heroes community to the development of the software itself, there’s been constant improvements through the years.

Cons

Not so much a “like least” about but more my own personal learning curve and using and applying conditions and triggers correctly. They can be confusing and one little misplacement can freeze a project.

Pros

I love how makes it easy to build engaging, interactive courses quickly. The suite’s tools work seamlessly together, letting us focus on design and learner experience rather than technical hurdles.

### "A Creative and Reliable Tool for Engaging Course Design"

November 12, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with has been very positive. It’s a reliable, user-friendly suite that helps me bring course content to life in creative and interactive ways. The mix of tools, especially Storyline and Rise, lets me balance flexibility with efficiency, depending on the project needs. While there are a few limitations when it comes to deep customization and collaboration, the platform overall makes course development smoother and more enjoyable.

Pros

What I like most about is how seamlessly it brings creativity and functionality together. It makes it easy to turn course ideas into engaging, interactive experiences without getting bogged down in complex coding. I enjoy how flexible it is, whether I’m building custom interactions in Storyline or quick, polished modules in Rise, it gives me the tools to make learning feel dynamic and accessible for students.

Cons

What I like least about is that some of its features can feel limited when trying to customize beyond the built-in templates. While it’s great for quick development, making highly tailored designs or advanced interactions sometimes requires extra workarounds. I also wish collaboration and version control were smoother, especially when multiple team members are editing or reviewing the same project.
