I’ve been an Adobe captivate user for 20 years but now we have switched over to articulate. I’ve been very happy with. I’m looking forward to learning more about what I could do with storyline for the advanced you may have in the future. Pros Course creation is extremely easy in Rise. We are able as a team to easily keep a consistent style and look and edit each others work without any deep knowledge of how the course functions. Cons The review piece of Rise could benefit from some improvements to make to more clear to the developer and SME regarding what they are tagging. Much of what I do is compliance training and articulate gives me the ability to create engaging courses (as much as compliance can be!) Pros I love the ability to create courses that I can modify and design however my project needs. The capabilities are endless in storyline! Cons I previously started to get stale with Rise but the new custom blocks have really spruced it up and I have been utilizing it more. It has saved us training labor hours for both employees and managers. Cons Having to pay extra for AI, I feel like this should be included and not be an add-on. Cons It is challenging when I have feedback or questions, and I see that it has already been asked on their public forum and has not been addressed. I've also made some content for instructors to use in their courses with their students. I'm currently learning how to creating videos and have really enjoyed it. Pros Creatting courses that look great and are engaging for learners. Rise is really easy to learn and make courses and storylineballows for more customization. Cons One thing I don’t like about is that some of the features feel a little limited unless you really dig into Storyline, which can take extra time to learn. I definitely recommend it to any instructional designer, regardless of how long you have been in the field. It is great for all levels! Pros I primarily use Rise and Articulate as an instructional designer. I love the easy of use with Rise and that it is intuitive. I can quickly take something that students would consider as boring and turn it into something engaging very quickly. Cons I do wish that Articulate was Mac friendly. I would also love to have some of the articulate features in Rise - for example, even though you can make scenarios on Rise, making in-depth branching scenarios is better suited for Articulate.
