Ride for beginners and then storyline allows more experience users to be creative. Cons There are some limitations with rise and some of the blocks within it. Pros Powerful tool that provides excellent high quality training content that are Learners enjoy. We find high engagement. Cons Massive learning curve when it comes to onboarding new users. If they're not technically savvy we have to work more to train them on the product. I use Storyline or Rise almost every day and find the software to be reliable and it empowers me to deliver the majority of what my clients ask for. Pros I like that Articulate 360 provides access to both Articulate Storyline and Rise, which enables me to develop eLearning content to suit a wide range of budgets. Cons It is difficult to think of any serious negatives that have cropped up during my use of Articulate 360. If I was to ask for one improvement I think I'd ask for reverse transitions to be added as a feature, so that when one of my learners clicks back on a screen, the animation reflects that they are moving backwards through the course. Switched from [Adobe Captivate](https://www.capterra.com/p/227148/Adobe-Captivate/) Although I still use Captivate occassionally, I switched to Articulate 360 mainly to have access to Storyline, which is much quicker to use, has a smaller learning curve, and is all round more logical to use. November 13, 2025 5.0 So far the experience has been great, I quickly started building training content for our LMS system with very little experience. Pros Ease of use. I started building content pretty quickly, and use the tutorials as a guide. It has many built in features that are easy to add. Cons I would like more pre-designed content. The trainings provided on the site itself are quite thorough. I’ve used a lot of the premade content on general topics, as well as built out many courses in Rise. Pros Articulate 360 is extremely easy to use and yet there is so much customization. I enjoy the aesthetics of its programs, as well. Cons The Reach 360 function is a bit simplistic. I particularly love all the templates And AI usage in Rise 360. Pros Ease of content creation now even more with the help of AI. Lots of options in storyline to create content exactly the way you perceive and like. Cons LMS could be more effective and usable. It currently permits only 300 users and limited capabilities. It just keeps getting better. The community is amazing for finding support out answers to general questions or issues. Pros The choice to more complex courses and also very simple courses. Another benefit is the remote option which can be used with SMEs and also having the option to publish and have users take the course without ut needing to be in an LMS. This is especially helpful during fast product release timelines. Pros I love how customizable it is. You can pull in storyline assets seamlessly into a Rise course. The block tool makes it easy to use company branding seamlessly throughout. Cons I don't love how Rise doesn't let you reformat alignment in a completely free way. U like the suite and the options it provides for content building. Pros Whenever I need to know what tools are available out there, capterra is the place to go. I’ve used it to compare LMS capabilities, video editing tools, and so much more. Cons The thing I liked least is that some of the tools listed didn’t quite fit what I was looking for. I was only able to work in Storyline, which is very open ended and you have to start from scratch, but the functions are fairly easy to learn and really useful! Pros It allowed me to update/upgrade from my old method of death-by-PowerPoint to streamlined computer-based courses that were engaging and effective! Cons The interface is clunky and old. I really don’t like how you have to Preview just to see what you’re working on.
