Once set up, it runs smoothly and does exactly what it promises. My experience would have been much better if the integration had been coordinated from the beginning by someone like Marco, who later joined the process and greatly improved communication and workflow between me and the rest of the team. Pros HQ Rental Software is a very complete and powerful system for managing a car rental business. It offers great functionality,reservations, contracts, fleet management, customer data, and automation all work seamlessly once everything is properly configured. I really appreciate how flexible and capable the system is. Cons The integration process could have been handled more professionally. Despite paying for integration, I was expected to take responsibility for connecting the system with our Framer website, even though their team didn’t seem fully familiar with how Framer works. It felt like the responsibility was being shifted back to me as the website developer. Communication was also somewhat confusing at times. Different team members contacted me directly, and in some cases even reached out to our client using technical jargon that the client couldn’t understand. For me, the ideal improvement would be to assign one dedicated project manager who oversees the full integration process and communicates with both the client and the developer clearly and professionally. We do not use or need all the functions in the HQ Software, but are forced to pay for the full set of features. We would prefer customized pricing based on fleet size and the functions needed. Pros Simple system, fast solutions and responses from the staff, whole system is worth the amount you are paying, peoples information is safe and secure. Whole rental flee is way easier to manage and control. Cons Occasional slow load times on large reports. Mobile app is limited compared with desktop. Some advanced features require extra modules or costs. Reporting/customization has a learning curve. I liked it overall, but the mobile features are limited, reporting is complex to customize. Certainly better than our experience with Rentall and only slightly better than Rently. You can't go wrong with either HQ or Rently. I'd only recommend Rently over HQ if you have business outside of the US. Pros I really liked their WordPress integration. It made it very easy to take bookings on our website Cons I disliked how messy the UI was. Overall, the data entry experience, especially for 2024, was very outdated.
