Pros I am a sole trader/freelance administrator and after a lot of research I found Jibble (free version) was the best time-tracker for my simple requirements. It is very easy to use, and the help tutorials cover everything. I especially like the switcher facility, so I don't have to clock out of one project/activity then clock into another. Cons For me the report download element is a little too much for my requirements. All I need is a simple report with the Client's name, project, activity, tracked time & rate for each activity, and over all cost. It would be extremely useful if you could eliminate the columns you don't need before downloading, it would save me so much time not having to format the excel spreadsheet for each download to show just the columns I need for Client invoicing requirements. The learning curve was real, especially around admin permissions and kiosk setup, but the AI chat helper made the first week manageable, and I'd still recommend that as the best way to get started. Once correctly configured, it does what I need. Pros Jibble does everything I need for clocking in/out, and it's completely free — hard to beat that combination. Certain aspects weren't intuitively easy to figure out, but the AI chat helper was especially useful in the first week. It is so convenient in it's simplicity. I can see how it works well for big companies, but pleasantly surprised that Jibble did not ignore small ones like mine...and does not charge anything for "until the end of time" (for the most basic plan - which is what I need). Pros I ran a 8 employee small business (in California). I feel that our state has one of the strictest labor laws in the US. I had to use a software that our budget can afford to be complaint. Well, Jibble is one that was advertised to be free for a setting such as mine. Jibble is free for the most basic plan. Cons For a free plan, I had to invest a lot of time to LEARN how it works. Production Technology Methods Engineer Aviation & Aerospace Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Strong for Small Team Accountability, but UI and Navigation Need Refinement" May 21, 2026 4.0 I’ve been using Jibble2 to manage a small team of technicians (started with 2, now up to 5), and overall it’s been a solid experience. One of the biggest positives is how easy it is to set up and grow your team. Adding new technicians or removing ones who’ve moved on is quick and straightforward, which makes managing changes painless. The technicians picked up the app pretty quickly, clocking in and out is simple, and I really like the geofence feature that ensures they’re actually on-site. The photo capture when clocking in is also a nice accountability feature. On the downside, there are a few usability things that could be improved. As a salaried manager, I don’t need to track my own time, but I still show up in the timesheets, which feels unnecessary. Approving time off also wasn’t very intuitive, I had to click around a bit before I found the right place to do it. The interface has quite a few different pages, and it can be a little cluttered, especially on the left-hand navigation. Some features are part of paid upgrades, which is completely understandable, but it would help if those options were clearly greyed out. Right now, it’s easy to accidentally click into something only to realize it’s not included, then have to backtrack. I haven’t used the invoicing or admin features yet. Right now I’m mainly using Jibble to hold my team accountable for showing up on time and working full shifts, and it does that job well. Overall, it’s an easy-to-use and effective tool for basic time tracking and accountability, especially for small teams.
