Easy to run letters, year end tax statements and top donor reports. Pros ELEO provides a ton of functionality and organization at an incredibly reasonable price for small to medium nonprofits. Their onboarding process to import all data was very comprehensive and there are many ways to customize the platform to make it easier to access and grow donor support. The best part is the email support - my specific queries have always received detailed instructions from the ELEO support team within hours. Cons Would love to be able to run a report on Monthly donors or be able to add our logo to templates. June 9, 2023 5.0 Before Eleo we could not generate monthly thank you receipts, and we had to maintain a separate Excel spreadsheet of newsletter subscribers in order to email them through Mailchimp. Now we have one database that's easily filtered on gifts and donors so we can quickly generate thank you receipts, and email our subscribers. Their customer support team is very knowledgeable, kind, and patient, and also open to suggestions on how they can improve Eleo. We're astonished at how they can provide all of these features at such a reasonable price, and our donor base has been rapidly growing since standing up Eleo - thank you Eleo! Pros Eleo is very intuitive and easy to use. Initial set up and onboarding went smoothly with help from their awesome support team. I initially trained our admin, and moving forward, she has been able to figure things out on her own. We use Eleo's easy to create web forms for donating, contacting us, volunteer interest, and to subscribe to our newsletter. We record donations, reconcile them with Quickbooks, generate thank you receipts, and email subscribers through an integration with Mailchimp. We also find it very easy to generate reports on donors and gifts, which we use heavily for grant applications, budget planning, and financial reports. Recently, we used Eleo's event module to plan and organize our annual fundraising gala, and it was the most successful ever! Cons I had to do a minor workaround in the event module to organize entree choices. I like that each aspect of donor management (running a campaign, sending it out via email, entering or receiving online donations, and tracking the results) is covered by Eleo. One-Stop Shop! Pros Eleo handles all of our donor/constituent database needs. We track all donations, create campaigns, and create and track our fundraising events. We are able to integrate with Constant Contact for digital marketing to our contacts. I really like that you can see all of the Eleo components from the screen and the main Navigation bar. The online resources are also quite comprehensive and shortens our training times for volunteers during peak fundraising seasons. Pros The contact management system is really very responsive and comprehensive. Seamless flow of information throughout the system allows for real time updates of the activity history of each contact in our database. This makes it very easy to tailor outreach and relationship-nurturing efforts to each contact. Cons The pricing model could be broken down into several more subscription packages that allows more features the higher you go instead of just varying the number of records that can be processed per package type. For campaigns that yield much smaller individual contributions but not necessarily higher overall totals, this can be quite unbalanced. We've had a database for years, but the real key to managing a database is to KNOW the data that's held within it. Eleo is helping us get to know our members and contacts more deeply than we did before. Pros What attracted our organization most to Eleo is how much bang you can get for your buck. This software has a lot of the same features as larger, more expensive CRM tools, but without the years-long contractual agreements, and with way more affordable pricing for a small/mid-sized non-profit like us. So far, Eleo has really delivered. We finally have a system in place for strategically reaching out to membership and generating the reports we need to analyze our success. I can't wait to see how far we can go with Eleo. Cons Integrations with different website platforms is somewhat lacking. For example, embedded forms don't seem to work well with WIX. Their payment play is not based on how much you use it but how many contacts you have. Even though we fit in the lowest price point we still get all the amazing features. Cons My one complaint if I had to have one is that couples are only listed by one person's name and then the other is listed as a spouse. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] are listed as \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] and spouse \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\]. They are top notch. Pros I work for a very small not-for-profit. I was initially attracted to the monthly cost, which fit my budget. But when I saw the demo, and started asking questions of the staff I realized, the Eleo platform was very good. It had all the right features, it was customizable, and the staff was very helpful, patient, and courteous. Then when I provided my data for them to import...OH MY GOODNESS! Everything was flawless. Its a match made in heaven! Cons The platform I used previously for my donor portal sent me an email every time a donor made a donation. Eleo's system does not do that. No having to pay for adding in a volunteer module, and events module, a grants module, etc. It's cloud-based, and there is no limit to the users. The support from ELEO us absolutely SUPERB! Call, get a person, get an answer. They don't charge you extra for it. They provide lots of training videos and documents as well as offer one-on-one trainings by request... none of which they charge for. They also didn't charge for the initial import/transfer of my data from our old software. Couldn't be happier. This is an amazing piece of software, especially for the price. Cons I'm still relatively new to this product, so any 'trouble' I'm having may very well be yet my own lack of understanding on how to do something. I do wish it switched from one screen to the next more quickly, though. Minor issue when compared to all the positives. They also take our suggestions and try to incorporate new tools into the database as they make sense for organizations like ours. Ease of use- I have used and implemented 4 other databases at various non profits and this has been the easiest getting started with and training other individuals on. Functionality- We are able to track donors and pull useful reports. Integration- We are able to make custom webforms easily and targeted to specific uses. Cons Emailing using the database. I love that I am always able to track back what I sent out using the database but standard email products have so much more flexibility and versatility. If you ever had a question, their customer service team responds super quickly to assist with whatever you need. Cons There are a few negatives and kinks to the program. The first is that not all fields are able to be customized which makes it a little tricky trying to navigate it to fit the needs of your organization. I have encountered a few kinks in the program and mentioned it to their team and within a few weeks the kinks were fixed (i.e. not being able to soft credit a pledge payment or link a pledge payment to an event). It satisfies the donor information needs and offers the ability to retrieve, update donor information, and follow-up with donors through various appeals, letters, newsletters, or other communications with great ease. Pros I've worked with large foundations that were established decades ago and have thousands of donors. These institutions have donor database software systems that are outstanding. Moving to a much smaller but equally worthwhile foundation less than three years ago, I met with Eleo representatives and found them to offer a high quality system that equaled my experience at larger institutions. The ease of learning and using this system, the costs for this product, and the utility of this database system are all outstanding. In addition, their personal support of any questions or needs that arise is also outstanding! Cons That Eleo Online wasn't established earlier! The Amy Foundation was established 11 years ago and all donors records were kept on excel spreadsheets, all of which was accurately incorporated with exceptional ease into the Eleo system. I receive a check-in email from one of the staff on a regular basis and if I have questions, she promptly provides an answer! Cons It would be nice if we could use the internal thank you feature by uploading our logo and customizing. However, we are still able to do this with a mail merge, so it's not a huge loss.
