Easy to run letters, year end tax statements and top donor reports. Pros ELEO provides a ton of functionality and organization at an incredibly reasonable price for small to medium nonprofits. Their onboarding process to import all data was very comprehensive and there are many ways to customize the platform to make it easier to access and grow donor support. The best part is the email support - my specific queries have always received detailed instructions from the ELEO support team within hours. Cons Would love to be able to run a report on Monthly donors or be able to add our logo to templates. June 9, 2023 5.0 Before Eleo we could not generate monthly thank you receipts, and we had to maintain a separate Excel spreadsheet of newsletter subscribers in order to email them through Mailchimp. Now we have one database that's easily filtered on gifts and donors so we can quickly generate thank you receipts, and email our subscribers. Their customer support team is very knowledgeable, kind, and patient, and also open to suggestions on how they can improve Eleo. We're astonished at how they can provide all of these features at such a reasonable price, and our donor base has been rapidly growing since standing up Eleo - thank you Eleo! Pros Eleo is very intuitive and easy to use. Initial set up and onboarding went smoothly with help from their awesome support team. I initially trained our admin, and moving forward, she has been able to figure things out on her own. We use Eleo's easy to create web forms for donating, contacting us, volunteer interest, and to subscribe to our newsletter. We record donations, reconcile them with Quickbooks, generate thank you receipts, and email subscribers through an integration with Mailchimp. We also find it very easy to generate reports on donors and gifts, which we use heavily for grant applications, budget planning, and financial reports. Recently, we used Eleo's event module to plan and organize our annual fundraising gala, and it was the most successful ever! Cons I had to do a minor workaround in the event module to organize entree choices. I like that each aspect of donor management (running a campaign, sending it out via email, entering or receiving online donations, and tracking the results) is covered by Eleo. One-Stop Shop! Pros Eleo handles all of our donor/constituent database needs. We track all donations, create campaigns, and create and track our fundraising events. We are able to integrate with Constant Contact for digital marketing to our contacts. I really like that you can see all of the Eleo components from the screen and the main Navigation bar. It is easy to see, learn, and understand all of these components. Cons Looking forward to additional features to be added, such as letterhead on Thank You letter templates and some report improvements. May 10, 2019 5.0 We have been able to provide updated and real time reporting to both customers and funders. The software also allows us to ensure fairness in our job selection and placement processes as well as provides us with amazing payroll results and supports. As an agency we rely on the software and the providers over at CSS to make us successful and to date they have not disappointed. Pros The software has amazing usability and runs awesome reports. The ease in customizing it based on our needs makes it ones that makes it #1 in line with other competitors. We truly have no idea what we'd do without it. They work with you extensively at the beginning to help get you started, then they are there on the phone for quick questions in the future. Pros It's very easy to use for all the basic features. As I got more familiar with it, I started using the advanced features such as adding a custom data entry field, and uploading my new donations vs manual data entry. It also integrates with Quickbooks Online if you prefer. The way I do our books made this feature not quite right for me, but I can see it being a great feature for others. Cons When manually entering new donations, it's a little cumbersome to have to search for the donor, open the donor record, then click on gifts, then add a gift. When I have a lot to enter, it's irritating. But I decided to just upload the new deposits. All you have to do is have a routine Excel spreadsheet and enter your donations quickly there. I routinely have a current downloaded list from Eleo with all the donors account numbers. I add the account number to the donation uploads, then upload the file. So quick and easy. Reason for choosing Eleo I looked at 3 or 4 different products. Eleo was the first one where I looked at the way their menu worked and immediately saw how easy it was to use. They are top notch. Pros I work for a very small not-for-profit. I was initially attracted to the monthly cost, which fit my budget. But when I saw the demo, and started asking questions of the staff I realized, the Eleo platform was very good. It had all the right features, it was customizable, and the staff was very helpful, patient, and courteous. Then when I provided my data for them to import...OH MY GOODNESS! Everything was flawless. Its a match made in heaven! Cons The platform I used previously for my donor portal sent me an email every time a donor made a donation. Eleo's system does not do that. None of the other ones we researched fit our budget or seemed like a reasonable way to scale our organization. Eleo has given us a way to collaborate, track donors, create events, and manage communications. Eleo has allowed us to grow as a team, as an organization, and in our mission. Eleo has allowed us to manage all donor information in one place and further map out a strategic plan for fundraising. Pros I absolutely love all the capabilities Eleo has for organizing data and customization. Being able to input our own campaigns, appeals, and funds allows us to use Eleo's features to fit our specific needs. The customer service is impeccable and I appreciate how quick and easy it is to get assistance when needed. Cons We have yet to encounter and issue with Eleo! My only "complaint" would be that the system can run a bit slowly at times, but I imagine this is to be expected with any software with a high volume of data, not necessarily just Eleo. February 11, 2021 5.0 The Eleo support staff is responsive, patient, and knowledgeable throughout the data migration process and beyond. They are always available to answer any questions and direct us to further resources or free personal training sessions if necessary. Eleo also offers occasional webinars to break down various aspects of the system. These Inside Eleo webinars are invaluable with clear and easy to follow presenters and information. The sessions are recorded which makes it great for revisiting when needed. Pros The system is very easy to navigate and use. It encompasses all the types of data that we were looking to manage, including donors, gifts, grants, events, volunteers, and members. The migration process was simple and overseen by an Eleo support person at no cost. This person was very attentive and patient along the way as we prepared our data for import. The system is easy to customize to fit the needs of our agency and we have added several fields to capture exactly the data that we want. The company is also open to suggestions for features we would like to see added to the system. Cons So far we have found nothing that we dislike. We are still fairly new to the system. Reason for choosing Eleo The Eleo system seemed to host the greatest number of records for the best price while still offering all the aspects we were looking for in a system (grants, gifts, events, etc.). It integrates with other software we use such as PayPal, QuickBooks, and MailChimp. Eleo also offered an Opportunity Grant to allow more non-profits access to donor management systems. Pros ELEO Online Donor Management is the best. It has enabled us to find numerous volunteers for our organization. It is easy to create links that are easily added to emails, Facebook and our website to help us collect and document our donations, not to mention having reports available at a moments notice.We love being able to make notes about donors to help us remember relationships and other crucial bits of information. But the best thing is the Customer Service! They are always knowledgeable and answer the phones with smiles on. They are always able to help me to answer any questions that I might have. August 20, 2019 4.0 Growing our database of contacts and donors has really been a breeze with Eleo. I especially like the ease of operation all around. Pros I love that it easily grows as our organization expands. Creating reports is much quicker than other programs I've used at other non-profits I've worked for. It is a great that I can just search the library for a quick tutorial when I need to learn more of the functionality. Cons Sometimes it takes longer than I would like while waiting for an answer from the help desk. Also I had an experience with combining a duplicate donor. One of the contacts had more info than the other. I thought that when I combined them that Eleo would automatically keep the one with the most information (donations listed) but it kept the one without the needed info and I had to re-create the donaions.That being said, the customer service is always professional and courteous. The filtering and sorting aspects of Eleo let us easily work with different segments of our population of supporters, from individual to corporate donors, to event sponsors, to grant-makers...and more. Eleo works very well at a great price for our donations/donors and fundraising operations. The relatively new grants module adds unparalleled value to the Eleo software. The support team is professional, responsive, skilled, responsive and pleasant to work with. The overall value is outstanding. Cons Eleo is so function- and feature-rich that it is was challenging to learn from the general trainings how to use all of it optimally for our unique needs and goals. Cons As with many software packages, it categorizes members by individuals and not also corporate with multiple individuals from the same organization. When we push the corporate member category, we'll continue to work with individuals and discount accordingly. Will also explore integrating into our website, i.e., for Board and member profiles automatically extracted from Eleo. Our individual fund raising is much higher this year and a lot of that is due to the specificity of our asks. We could not have done that without this easy to use software. Pros integrates with our email platform and on-line giving. Also has an easy platform for making reservations for events which makes it easy to follow up with supporters. Also the customer support is personal and thorough!!! Cons Web pages are very basic looking. It would be great to have more variety in their design. But overall we have no complaints.
