"Lost Trust Within Hours of Integration"

**Overall:** ⭐☆☆☆☆ As a professional vacation rental operator, my experience with iGMS was extremely disappointing. During onboarding, I was never informed that connecting the iGMS API to Airbnb could cause manually blocked dates to disappear from the Airbnb calendar view. These blocked dates represented direct bookings that I manage outside of Airbnb. Immediately after connecting iGMS, those blocked dates vanished from my calendars, creating panic and forcing me to spend over six hours investigating what happened, communicating with support, and ensuring my properties were not exposed to potential double bookings. The moment I disconnected the iGMS API, the blocked dates returned. What concerns me most is not the technical limitation itself. Technology has limitations. The problem is that this critical information was never disclosed during onboarding before I was encouraged to connect my account. For hosts managing direct bookings alongside Airbnb, this is information you absolutely need to know before integrating any PMS. The support team was polite, but the onboarding process failed to properly communicate a platform limitation that could have significant operational consequences for a vacation rental business. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend iGMS.

**Pros:** I lost all trust in IGMS, its team, its software and its ability to help my property management company within 40 minutes of the on boarding process. Incompetent on boarding personel.

**Cons:** 1\. API Integration Can Change Calendar Behavior Airbnb manual blocks, rules, and certain calendar settings may not transfer to the PMS. Hosts who rely on manually blocked dates for direct bookings need to understand exactly how synchronization works before connecting. 2. Limited Onboarding Education Many PMS providers focus on getting accounts connected quickly. Important operational limitations may not always be proactively explained unless you specifically ask. 3. Dependency on Third-Party APIs iGMS is dependent on Airbnb, Vrbo, and other channel APIs. When Airbnb changes something, hosts often experience the consequences before the PMS can adapt. 4. Less Control Compared to Native Platform Management Some Airbnb settings and features work best when managed directly inside Airbnb. Adding a PMS introduces another layer between you and the booking platform. 5. Learning Curve For operators with multiple properties, there is a setup process. Mistakes during onboarding can affect calendars, pricing, messaging, and availability. 6. Direct Booking Management Challenges If you manually manage direct bookings through Airbnb calendar blocks, you need to verify exactly how those blocks are handled after integration. Not all PMS platforms treat Airbnb calendar data the same way. 7. Support Response Times Like many SaaS companies, support quality often depends on the representative and issue complexity. Urgent operational issues can feel slow when they impact active listings. 8. Potential Pricing Model Changes Some Airbnb features and pricing configurations may behave differently when managed through a PMS. Hosts should verify fee structures, pricing settings, and channel management before going live.

Hi Greg, We’d like to apologize again for the experience you had during your onboarding process. After reviewing your case, our team confirmed there was an issue when you connected your Airbnb account that affected your blocked dates, which should not have happened. Our development team has since fixed this, and it won’t occur again. We understand how stressful that situation must have been, and we appreciate you taking the time to flag it and share your experience with us. If you decide to give iGMS another try, our Onboarding Team will be ready to assist you and make sure everything is set up smoothly from the start. Thanks again for your feedback.
