Pros helps me in my inspections and what is most beneficial to me is how it is easy to navigate... Time is highly valued, and efficiency is of utmost importance. Cons Short length of videos... I upload multiple videos to YouTube to provide a client with a private video link per report, it would be more efficient and a big time saver to have the ability for longer video recording lengths within the app at the inspection. I've only been home inspector for 2 years and most of my time is spent learning my craft. It made my climb to a successful business much easier not have to worry about the technology. Anytime I have a question spectator has been very quick to help me. if I had a friend starting a home inspection business I would tell them they absolutely need Spector's Pros It is fully customizable and very easy to follow. The reports that are generated are superior to many of my colleagues in the industry. Real estate agents and clients have been extremely happy. Cons Currently my only issue is that when you answer all the questions in a section you receive a check mark to let you know you've completed the section on some reports areas are intentionally left blank much like the wind mitigation report. Pros Clients are often surprised that I am the only inspector after booking through . I love that the Client can sign agreements, schedule, and pay online. Very nice set up. This has allowed us to grow our business with our existing staff base as it has freed up so much time for our admin staff. Pros The functionality and ease of use as well as the professional and easy to read completed reports. Cons We are an Australian based business and the location tools don't always work correctly. A minor complaint. Cons no spell correct, or suggestions on spelling like Microsoft Word has. I am very prolific in the English language and grammar, but having that feature would be paramount! I often get compliments on how nice the website looks and how easy it is a setup an inspection and pay for it online. The customer service is second to none. Cons Payment processing fee, but it is the same anywhere. I hope they get enough of a base to make a deal that would get it to 1.5%. The ease of automation to include texts and emails, updating the calendar, end of year stats for tax purposes, editing the reports to make them easier for your needs, the list goes on. Cons Saving and syncing from a mobile device seems to have some issues every now and then but the majority of the info is still transferred so I make it work. Pros I like how easy it is to use. My wife helps me and I have trained her to use it as well. The expense of the program is minimal and the end result is a product that the consumer is able to utilize and make an educated decision on whether or not to purchase the house. At first some of the older agents were not used to reading the report, but after coaching and guiding it's been a huge success. I also like being able to lock the report until payment is received. Cons The only thing I wish we could change is figuring out how to checkmark the R for recommendation rather than having to go back and check it throughout the report. They have felt like a part of my own team, and always responsive. They continue to listen to their customer's needs and desires and continue to develop the software.
