I am extremely satisfied with Spectora. I can't imaging running my business without it. I know the product improves our productivity, gives me more personal time, and gives us a competitive advantage over our competition.

Pros

Spectora handles all aspects of my inspection business. From planning, scheduling, payment processing, customer and agent notifications, customer follow-ups, reporting, and end-of-year tax preparation.

Cons

The app crashes from time to time. The app assumes you have good internet while in use. Off-line use is a bit buggy.

### "Best Home Inspection Software On The Market "

Our overall experience could not be better. I would highly recommend Spectora to any home inspector looking for a cutting-edge software that will enhance their inspections and save them time on the backend

Pros

We were using AHIT software and soon realized how flawed the software was for our reporting. We sampled Horizon, Home Hub Zone, and Inspector Pro. The Horizon system was a no go from the start and they refunded us. Home Inspector Pro has horrible customer service. We couldn’t get help getting our templates setup. We even approached them at a conference and they were of no assistance. We took a loss on several Home Inspection Pro licenses. When we tried Spectora we were blown away. Incredibly easy to implement and the customer service couldn’t have been better. I think if we left Spectora or Inspector’s would probably quit. Instead of spending hours at the end of the day working on reports, were able to publish them onsite saving me hundreds of hours over the year. It’s possible the other software companies have advanced since we tried them. However I doubt they have kept pace with Spectora’s updates which come out weekly. Keep up the GREAT work!!!!

Cons

When Spectora first started there were minimal features for accounting like seen in ISN. Over the years they have made great strides in building out these features and are very close to shadowing ISN.

### "Glad we Implemented Spectora"

Overall, I am extremely happy with Spectora.

Pros

The software is really easy to follow and use. It has saved time and money. Now I am able to have my reports 100% ready on-site with being able to edit the photos! Changing the software for inspections was one of the best decisions the company has made!

Cons

A few cons I have:1. Would be not being able to zoom in on a photo to clearly display issues. For instance, you can zoom in a photo of the roof but are not able to zoom in within the photo for clarification, such as zooming on a shingle to show a nail pop., etc.2. Not being able to add a Transaction Coordinator as a stand-alone contact for the report. The software only allows for a client and the agent, so you have to add a "CC" email address to the agent for the Transaction Coordinator to get the report.

Overall, Spectora is great. The first time I used it I was a little taken back by all of the options and it takes a minute to learn. However, once you learn it and get practice at it you will find it's a great tool.

Pros

The ability to use different color squares, circles, or arrows to more clearly point out an issue. The video is an added bonus that is very useful. A quick video to show a rotted fence post goes a long ways towards explaining the issue and how easily the fence is swaying rather than just taking a picture and having an arrow point to it.

Cons

It doesn't give as much flexibility as I'd like with my price list. I've gone to places others won't go, but at a higher cost than the standard price matrix. Or, I might cut a friend or family member a deal. When I do things like this I have to edit the agreement immediately before they open and sign it. I'm probably one of those rare people where an option to put in a price before the agreements get sent out would be helpful.

I have nothing bad to say about them, Spectora has been wonderful to me through every step of the process. They keep me informed, they listen, are easy to contact. Everything is so much easier.

Pros

It makes running your business so much easier. I couldn't imagine running a business without it.

Cons

If I had to pick anything it would be that Spectora hasn't thought of EVERYTHING to make our jobs easier, but they are open to suggestions and constantly updating their software to make it better. Honestly, this is not a negative because no one can anticipate everything. Keep it up Spectora!

I have used Spectora for about a year and a half now and I couldn't be more pleased. Not only do I use the software, but I also had them design a new website for me and handle SEO. Any time I have had a question about how to do something or why something was happening, I just hit the chat bubble and someone is always just a few minutes (at most) away. Never have I not had an issue resolved.

Pros

The whole system is easy to adjust and modify to suit my needs. The app allows me to edit my template on the fly and my clients love the ease of use.

Cons

I can't think of a single negative except maybe that the software is available to other home inspectors in my area. I wish I could lock them out of being able to use!

I liked the fact that I could add video to my inspection reports and that the reports were interactive. Also, the entering of data into the report, along with pictures was easy and seamless. In speaking with the folks at Spectora at a conference, I just knew that they were cutting edge and cared deeply about providing an exceptional product whereas my other provider didn't really seem interested in making improvements. If you go to a conference, you will notice a huge difference between the two companies.

Overall I save many hrs per week if not per day with spectora and spend less money per moth on software than i did before. Any time i have an issue (not very often) someone is there to help with in minutes if not seconds. They always tell me when they are doing maintenance ahead of of time so i can plan accordingly. My experience with spectora has been great!

Pros

Spectora has saved me so much time with just about every feature. With online scheduling, automated emails and easy to use reporting. Its all in in one software for a home inspection company. I used to use 4 different services//software before switching to spectora

Cons

My only complaint is i wish i could insert longer videos in to my reports but with the link insert option its still not too bad.

Pros

Spectora has been a great resource for me. It allows for efficiency and it continues to get better and better. The customer service is exceptional and the client loves the ease of use the final product provides.

Cons

There are times when I update a template and it takes a few saves for me to feel confident the update has taken. I'm not sure if this is related to my devices or if it is the server taking time to update things. But, once in a while, I've had a concern that the template change I made didn't take. Eventually, it works find. But, sometimes I have to save it an extra time or two.

My Over all experience has been wonderful!, I am not a tech kinda person, due to the my advanced age, but that never is a problem with the support team!!.

Pros

The customer support is beyond anything in the industry. It does not matter, what kind of issue or problem I have, or had, the customer support team squashes every single problem or issue. NOTHING phases this team of professionals. They are absolutely the best in the industry, everyone of the deserves a pay raise, with a support team like this, there is no limit to what can be accomplished!!!.

Spectora allows me to publish on site without making my clients or agents wait long hours. By the time I have completed the inspection it's all done and nothing to do later. This is what I wanted and what I was looking for. No other inspection software was able to meet my expectations and I did tried a bunch of them for months each before I found Spectora.

Pros

Spectora has been the best business decision I have made in decades. Years ago I was looking for a dependable software, mobile ready with no issues at all, able to publish on site, off the charts best customer service. After talking via email with one of the \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] I decided to jump in and haven't regretted. This company has the best customer service in the industry, the best technology and they're very client focused.

Cons

The software is awesome. But the least I don't like is NOTHING!! It's all good and way above the competition.

The ability to create my own explanations and comments within the program.

Cons

Startup took longer than expected having to insert comments and set up templates. That being said after 2 or 3 months of changing and adjusting templates to my liking, navigating through the program during inspections is flawless. The template can be adjusted by section or rooms prior to being onsite according to the homes layout.

### "The Most Amazing Home Inspector Software & Application On The Market!"

The time-saving of Spectora's integrations has been a life-saver. The inspection entry is easy & upon "saving" the inspection, simultaneously, the client, their agent & the listing agent receive confirmations, the client receives a copy of the agreement for "click-to-accept" & a secure server link for payment AND my Google calendar is updated with the timeslot including all pertinent data! The completion of the report is seamless & once published, again, all emails & text messages go out to the appropriate parties. Agents love the reports & the flexibility they have within the reports to highlight issues & forward to other parties without having to copy & paste. My only regret is that I was hesitant to switch (getting out of a comfort zone). There was zero learning curve!

Pros

This software has unbelievable ease-of-use. The integrations are amazing - so much so that if I am unable to accept an incoming call, a client is able to follow the link on my website to schedule their own inspection & it ties in with my availability! (This happened three times within the last 24 hours!). The professionalism and quick response from support & the development team of Spectora is unmatched. I continue to be amazed at every turn.

Cons

I have fully expected to find a con,... This is not an easy industry to be developing software & applications that are actually field-appropriate. In over 6 months of use, over 150 inspections during that time, I have yet to experience any issues!

Pros

The experience of using the Spectora app in the field makes home inspecting a breeze, and leaves very little work to be done tidying up the report afterwards, if any at all. The report templates are highly customization and make for easy tweaking to enhance speed and usability in the field. The finished product is a beautiful, scalable, web based report that looks good on computers, phones, and tablets, with the option of producing a PDF file right on the page. I receive many compliments about how professional the reports look. Their entire system has many options for automating many business related emails, helping clients sign agreements and pay with just a few clicks right from an automated email sent out after booking. They have integrated well with google and apple calendars, making integration with my schedule very easy. On top of all that, their customer service is quick, smart, and enjoyable to work with. Everyone that works for this company right now loves what they do and are always working hard to make it a better product, and a better experience for users.

Cons

I struggle to find anything about Spectora I don't like. Any issues I've ever had have been so quickly resolved, or have been items that the company continues to enhance, that they cease to be problems.

Pros

Ease of use, great interface, allows me to seamlessly take pictures and attach them directly to the defect. It also produces a great looking report that is customizable. I also love the ability to continuously update my template with new information and defects on the fly as I am working on new reports. I can just hit the save button and it pushes it to the template instead of having to remember to do the update manually.

Cons

They are only minor features that I have trouble with. I cannot seem to edit the size and color of already created shapes, such as arrows, in the photos. This means if I change something or want to reposition them I just have to delete them and recreate them. I also cannot seem to move videos between comments. I usually receive an error and have to attach it to the correct comment through the app.

While I was going through home inspection field training, I used a free trial of a handful of different softwares. I would use a different software for each inspection to test them out. Spectora was by far the best one. Ease of use, great interface, allowed me to seamlessly take pictures and attached them directly to the defect. It also produces a great looking report that is customizable. I did not even attempt to move forward with other options. I started my business using Spectora from day one.

Pros

I like the feature how I could built my own template using other template on the system. Making the right template just for yourself it's the hardest. Creating one that works well and provide the best detail to client it's the hardest.

Cons

Sometimes when you uploading too much photos or complete the report too fast it just crash. The system lucky save the report every single things you did so it didn't change anything but still cause little delay.

Cons

It can be difficult to get all i need to say in a video in under 30 seconds. I sometimes have to do multiple takes to get in under 30 seconds.

Pros

Ease of use, customer support, constant advancements and upgrades, innovation in allowing operations to run almost all facets of their business through one platform. Spectora does all of these things remarkably well and never stops improving. They hate sitting still and not advancing the software and companies that use it. They are absolutely amazing on the customer service level. I mean second to none.

Cons

Minor glitches come and go every once in a while, but none are severe enough to cause issues

WAAAAAAAYYYYY more advanced than either of the other two in my opinion. With one of the competitors, I felt as if I had to step back into Windows 2000 just to be able to edit templates, while another had a ton of fluff to sort through before getting to the actual act of editing.

This software has been the pinnacle of my growth not just as a home inspector, but as a legitimate business. Heading into the new year, we are planning on hiring, and growing, and it all started with the Spectora.

Pros

This software allows me to complete the report onsite. The automation of notifications to my clients and their agent is second to none! The agents love how easy the online report is to read as well. The back office scheduling and billing allows me as a one man operation to do more work on my business and not be bogged down chasing people for signatures and payment.

Cons

The only con for me is finding enough time in the day to learn how to use ALL of the features Spectora offers. Spectora Advanced is a whole other level of service!

Pros

I cannot think of one thing that I liked most about Spectora. I like all the services and resources that Spectora provides. It is crucial for a home inspector to have this type of software. If you are a solo inspector or have a team of inspectors working for you Spectora has all the tools you need to succeed from the start. I highly recommend this software to all home inspectors.

Cons

Nothing, Spectora has met and exceeded all my expectations.
