Customer management, preinspection agreements and payment collection are all managed easily with text message and email notifications. The automation is amazing. Cons The cost... is not the inexpensive solution. At $99 + tax (as of 1/2023), Spectora is a significant monthly cost. The automation, quick customer service and robust templating are worth it if your monthly budget can support the cost. I’m still learning how to better utilize the tool to streamline my process, and I still struggle a bit with modifying the templates and making things look exactly like I want. The support team has been great on the occasions I’ve needed to use them. Overall I’m very satisfied with and would recommend checking it out. Pros I moved to from EZ Home Inspection Software in March of 2022. The reason for the switch was to streamline my report writing process and have ability to embed video content into the report. The tool is very easy to use and figure out, it has been pretty intuitive the learn. The integration of pictures and video has been great. My report writing process is definitely faster than it was before. Cons I would like to be able to have longer video clips. Also, the app limits how many reports can be stored in the app and I can’t figure out how to adjust setting so I don’t run into need to reset the app. The pricing is reasonable but a little more expensive than I would like. April 15, 2021 5.0 Getting up and going with the report writer, transaction manager, and payment manager could not have been easier. The interface is self-explanatory for the most part, and chat support is fast and set up to get you to your answer quickly and efficiently. Chat support team is awesome. Obviously VERY well trained. Pros In the report writer, the global search feature is a game changer. No need to navigate to the proper section. Just enter a few words in the search bar and get to the narrative you need quickly. Cons Some text fields are smaller than they need to be, making editing within them frustrating at times. Use of gray type as a design feature gets in the way of quick reading and efficiency. Switched from [HomeGauge](https://www.capterra.com/p/29014/HomeGauge/) HomeGauge bought out HomeHubZone (my original solution), promising to meld it with their product to create a best-of-both-worlds product. I spent over a year on their Beta team, only to be left wondering when this product would be ready. I learned third-hand that HG no longer supported HHZ, and after numerous inquiries was finally able to see the recent Beta version of their "WebWriter". I was very much underwhelmed and decided it was time to take a closer look at . Very glad I did. There are a few things I miss about HHZ, but so many other great features that make my work easier and add value to my product. Way to numerous to list here. Suffice it to say that Spectora appears to have been built from the ground up with the focus on building the report in the field, with little to no deskwork required. Review Source David B. Also I don't have to use another scheduling software like ISN. It's all built in. Pros The best thing about this software is that the developers made it tech-forward from the ground up. Very easy to use and fast. The other thing that amazes me is the customer service. I always get a response within 5 minutes and they are always able to answer my questions Cons The worst part about this software is it's battery usage on my iPhone X. I'm not sure what they can do to cut down on that, but a dark mode would be nice and I think would be a fairly simple thing to implement. I feel that this software gives me a leg up on the other companies in my area. This is by far the best software out there and there is more to come for this group! Pros I've had several reporting software's for my company. The other's are no competition. The feel is extremely modern and professional. After most inspections, my clients tell me how easy to use and modern the reporting is. We get excellent feedback on our reports. Then there is the support staff. In no element of this technological world have I ever found a group of people so attentive and amazing to work with. Cons This is a con and pro in all honesty. This software does not come without it's issues and headaches. There are definitely days that there have been some meltdowns of the software. This is normal though. They are constantly growing and improving their product. What they are completing here is no small feat. Cons There are 2 versions, Legacy and Next Gen, neither work quite right. Legacy is the original software that is no longer worked on by and the Next Gen is a work in progress.. I was hesitant to commit to a monthly fee vs a one time purchase. Six months in, have to say, what was a con for me initially has become one of it's strongest pros. You really do get what you pay for in this life and with the value is there, hands down. I feel as if my monthly payment is providing my buisness with a dynamic product that adds value almost weekly with its upgrades and product support. Pros When I went looking for a software program to launch my home inspection business there were a lot of options to choose from. After reviewing the field I narrowed my search to four, two older and two newer. At first it was difficult to determine which program was going to work for me. Did I want price, ease of use or a quality product to weight my final decision? It wasn't until I began to actually work with each program that I quickly came to realize was going to fulfill each of those categories superbly. As a new inspector, I have found the learning curve has to be surprisingly short. The program is intuitive, the finished product is polished and the support is incredibly personal. Perhaps what I like most is knowing that I am part of something that is being built from the ground up with inspectors in mind. My background is in heavy construction bidding and estimating and I was used to very good software. I learned about Spectora from a fellow inspector who spoke very highly of it and I changed over and never looked back. Pros The software is easy to use, easy to customize and customer friendly. Cons I would like to be able to see at a glance the categories that need editing, so I don't have to waste time looking at every single item to make sure I have not missed anything. I think color coding or a button that creates a summary of items that have been selected during the inspection as needing improvement would work. I'd also like to have the ability to customize the list of remedies rather than have to use the one provided by . I only need about 5 categories and there are tons of them that I never use and they just get in my way. This is due to the ability for us to work in teams seamlessly. We use to inspectors on each home or business and both can write report on items during the inspection without issues.
