The credibility of my photography business went up a tenfold with format and truly has an artistic presence to it that I never had with Squarespace. I also love the wide variety of options to customize your site and make it your own– without needing to code. Cons The jump from the lowest plan (100 images/15 pages/3 products) to the middle plan (1,000 images, 20 products, unlimited pages, etc) is kind of a big jump, but the price overall is very affordable. As artists we want our sites to be different, but we want to have some level of control and we don't have thousands to invest in a website that sometimes is harder to use. Getting support is very easy, too, thanks to the in-window chat. Cons The most recent update took a while to get used to, and Id like more variety with themes. Don't get me wrong - there is variety, but perhaps a bit more freedom to really craft your chosen theme. The simplicity of creating gallery spaces is what has kept me as a customer the last 2-3 years. I can do it on my own, easily, and have a beautiful web space for clients to see my work. No hassle, no coding, no web developer to call to add updated work! July 13, 2018 4.0 Pros The customer support is fast and effective; website templates can be customized easily even for less design-savvy users; the blog and shop integration is incredibly convenient; the pricing is very fair; as a photographer, offering horizontal-scrolling layout options was one of the main draws.
