Also, whenever I need help moving things around Format makes it easy to solve the problem. Cons You can not import your own fonts onto the site template. Pros Building a website takes all of 10 minutes. Lots of customization options and with my package I can upload as many images as I'd like to show off to clients. I also love using the proofing options so my clients can view and pick out there favorite images from their person session. Cons There is no automatic slideshows for my website. June 22, 2018 5.0 I was able to try it through a free trial, and deemed it useful. It's a very complete way for a designer to elaborate their portfolio. Pros How easy it is to use, the layout is very user-friendly. The programs I previously used had a steeper learning curve. It's also really easy to update, even though I haven't used it for very long. Cons I can't directly upload videos, I need to first upload it to a third party. It's compatible with Youtube, which is very popular, and Vimeo. I'd rather have my own video embedded so the person seeing my portfolio doesn't have to visit other sites. Review Source SS Seumas S. The way the images are displayed is critically important for me as a photographer and I've found that Format has the best designs out of many portfolio hosting sites. I'm also amazed at the price per month - other portfolio webhosts can charge more for essentially the same features. Adding a shop to the portfolio is amazing! I love the proofing feature!! I am able to look very professional when working with clients because of this feature. Cons Limitations i found. I hate the new interface its so difficult to navigate! I can't add external links to my collections. I make websites in my art practice so this is a huge problem for me. I wish there was more customization I could do. Like add an image to my template background. Pros The design templates are modern, reimagined but simple enough to customize. The minimalism and user interface make using Format a joy. What you see is what you get, no hidden strings. Cons Early on, I hit some limits with what I'm able to customize. The advanced programming is (understandably) deterring and there are still some things I haven't been able to modify.
