Like any CRM software, Microsoft Dynamics 365 allows your company to share communications, leads and opportunities to make the most of your team's time and effort. I particularly appreciate the integration with MS Outlook, although the plug-in is still a bit hard and significantly slows down performance.

Integration with the complete package of Microsoft products. Level of customization and integration in third-party applications. The variety of different business line modules allows you to be used by many more people / departments than ever before. The integration of LinkedIn has made the collection of Sales Analysis much easier and has accelerated my ability to find references and presentations for new businesses. The integration of Outlook is also simple and easy to use and allows the tracking of all communications within the Sales module with a click of a button.
What I like most is that I can track so many things in one place for my clients. I can see all the previous contacts, both by myself and by others. It is a place for all the documents, able to keep track of the completed tasks, the history of the client, etc.

Out of the box, the system is ready to go, so if you have never used a CRM before, you can start using it directly. It is very easy to import data using Excel templates generated by Dynamics so that it does not start completely from the beginning.

The system is also very easy to customize without the need of any programming knowledge.

Cons: A single contact record can not be associated with more than one company.
Many of our clients manage multiple sites, so we have many duplicate contacts.

Users often find the system frustrating when it does not work, it can be slow, there are problems with it working on Edge, and there are limits to the available customizations.

The connector of Outlook is difficult to use, we have downloaded it with mixed success, sometimes decreasing the perspective at unusable speeds and others that are not reliable to use.

Although personalization has come a long way since the first versions, there are still some things that could be useful, such as the possibility of accumulating opportunities from secondary accounts in the main account registry.

Opportunity totals can be easily accumulated, but not the actual opportunity list.

Licenses are limited to full access or read only, something in between would be useful too.

You can not see the exact amount of data stored in your entities.

This is a big problem if Dynamics 365 only offers a limited amount of storage in the cloud by CRM. For example, I believe that the first limit of memory beings in the cloud is 10 GB for entry-level CRM users.

Like us, we have a lot of integration data and add-ons, which would be very nice to understand the amount of data that.

It is not customizable for our commercial use. It is not a product as effective as something built for our commercial needs, like the Megaphone.

Comments: I DO NOT recommend this product to ANYONE. The features which work only do so after weeks spent learning the software's bugs and avoiding them. This is not a finished product, and in the two years I have used it not a single issue has been resolved. Have the developers even attempted to use this? I am so far beyond being understanding of this thing's shortfalls, and I hope this is apparent in my review. Give my company a refund so that the money which Microsoft has NOT earned can be distributed to the employees who have spent hours of unproductive time compensating for Microsoft/D365/CRM's shortcomings.

Pros: It promises to deliver a comprehensive client management system, databases information for perusal by its users, and has a lot of potential.

Cons: The user interface is atrocious. Pages which should be full windows are contained in scroll bars in my browser window Tables within these windows are not scaleable and are improperly scaled. This cuts off row lables, column headers, and information which I would like to read but cannot Drop-down menus are not generated automatically Timesheets are sliding-windows nested within sliding-windows nested within sliding windows, all of which are compressed to less than half the height of my screen by an incompressible block of data. Timesheets wipe information without warning. New lines added to timesheets occasionally do not register, do not save, prevent submissions for review, and are undetectable until I close the timesheet, the information I entered is wiped, and I spend an hour trying to discern which portions of my billable (BILLABLE! I work by the hour, time spent on this costs my company money, costs me money by way of lost income earned in performance reviews, blatantly ruins my day, and ruins the fidelity of my timesheets by forcing me to try and back out my work for the day) The TIMER feature in timesheets, a STOPWATCH feature that should be a simple start/stop, cannot properly roll over between hours. If you restart the timer on a line, because (god-forbid) you start a task and the timer, stop the task and a timer, start a new task and a new timer, stop a new task and a timer, and restart the original task and its timer, the thing cannot simply add more time to the original line. No, when it reaches the next hour (1.4 -> 1.9 -> 2.0 -> 2.1 is expected and correct behavior) it just fails entirely, and continues to neglect full hours going forward. (1.4 -> 1.9 -> 0.0 -> 0.9 -> 0.0 -> 0.9 -> 0.0 -> 0.9). This is a baseline thing which i would consider only a slight step up in difficulty from not deleting my activity description (which CRM does frequently) But why am I having to rank timesheet features by difficulty? My company has paid for Dynamics 365 services, and it is functional to the minimum degree. Contact entries cannot be related to more than 3 cases? The "Recent Cases" table on the right is not one table - it's FIVE IDENTICAL TABLES arranged vertically along the right side of the screen. Of these, the top and the bottom entries CANNOT be used, and attempting to associate the Contact to a Case returns an error. The MIDDLE THREE tables only accept ONE ENTRY each - my contact is associated with DOZENS of case files, and I am limited to THREE? This list goes on. This product is awful. This is absolutely awful. DO NOT purchase this product. I am a baseline wage-earner in my company, and am not whatever customer-relations / customization employees Microsoft use to field customer complaints / cater this service, but whatever they are doing is doing done poorly.

Pros: Easy to use, not expensive, simply to navigate.
Integration with Outlook available for e-mailing. Its templates are very useful for comunicate news or tips to a sales team. Integration with other Microsoft products is great too.
Easy to customize, even a non-technical person can create new contacts, accounts,etc is going to be very easy with Dynamics, no programming knowledge needed.
Customer support is good with the FAQ and options that are really needed.
I can bulk data to One Drive and access it syncronized with my desktop.
If you make entries in a place with no internet, all data will be syncronized once internet connection is restablished.
It has a lot of add-ons.
The mobile app is useful for checking reports or access data when visiting customers or not in front of a desktop computer.
This CRM design allows organize all clients by categories and access them very fast and easy and remember the client history or important things of the last contact or visit.
All functions you need are easily available wth a click or touch.
There are apps available for Android, iOS and Windows Phone.

Cons: It has problems when an update is released.
Is not user-friendly for new users or beginners.
Requires a long customization to start running
Sign in mobile app is too slow. Too much response time.
Excesive windows, tabs and screens can make it difficult to first time users. It needs a better menu.
It only supports Internet Explorer based browsers.
A little bit slow to data input if not customized, many fields not relly needed.
Sessions time out is a cumbersome problem. Although it may be necessary for security I do not like it because many times a talking with a customer takes a long time and it's very, very important.
Poor and difficult integration with Gmail may be a problem.
No chat easily available.
It's slow to save data because it's cloud based. It depends on internet speed.

Overall: It's a CRM quite easy to use

Excellent, helps to manage specific business functions, such as financial, sales, marketing, etc.

Pros: I like the service applications that help manage specific business functions, such as financial, sales, operations, marketing, or service automation. As well as, the power of Microsoft's cloud, the CRM and ERP capabilities for productivity applications that allow identifying and capturing new opportunities, since all the key parts of the business are connected. I also like that it is empowered to collaborate in different geographies, it gives you the ability to make decisions, take advantage of new trends, interrupt, and above all adapt. It is wonderful because the connected systems, allow in real time to obtain all aspects of sales and operations are easily optimized and controlled.

Cons: What I like least about this software is that it is more difficult for older staff to assimilate, and for small companies where there are perhaps few employees and finances are carried out manually, it is less useful, it is less useful, I think it is not designed for SMEs. In addition, I believe that the factors that do not make an economy stable are not taken into account, as in Venezuela, where almost every day of the bolivar varies with the dollar and many small businesses have chosen to offer their products and services in dollars for avoid losing their income and maintain the financial stability of the company, for them the application of decision making would be uncertain, however, following the example of Venezuela, for companies that make profits in bolivars is equally difficult to maintain a price that does not vary , and this software does not take into account this type of variation so close that an organization could be forced.

Pros: Dynamics Nav is easy to use and very similar to any Microsoft office product. The product is versatile and easier to understand and flow through. In terms of functionality is it similar to sage 500. But it offers better GUI and tailored for the role of the user. The search functionality in the RTC client allow easy searches of different functionality without navigating. Finance granule are easy to implement although limited -budget and cash flow compared to other ERP such as oracle. Also inter company transactions are fairly easy to use Sales order to Purchases order etc. limitation are when you have more that couple of companies then it becomes very hard to use since company must be chosen before transacting.

Web client and availability of client in the web is great

Cons: Fairly expensive to implement on top of the license cost per user some additional granule may require additional fee. Also since this is build on top of the Microsoft stack, sql may need to be purchased especially if you have reporting requirements. SQL runtime edition has some limitation especially for SME's. SQL is not cheap.

Product defects are hard to address if you have customizations in the software.

Companies shouldn't purchase Microsoft Dynamics, our company regrets doing so!

Comments: The problem with a lot of reviews is that they only get the first impression of the software and they don't have the time to truly use the software on a daily basis with real data and customers. The company I work for has been using Microsoft Dynamics for around a year and it has been a complete nightmare since day one. As a result, I strongly recommend companies not use Microsoft Dynamics. Microsoft Dynamics is littered with critical technical issues. We have been having continuous issues with data deleting itself without our consent or any forewarning. This has cost our company considerable time and money and loss of data. Worst of all their support is horrible. They are difficult to get hold off and you get thrown around many Microsoft departments and no one knows anything about Microsoft Dynamics specifically. From my experience, I believe there are only 2-3 actual technical support operators in the Asia Pacific region and this is for Microsoft's flagship CRM product. Microsoft has shown little interest in resolving our technical issues we have had with our very stock standard and most up to date cloud version of Microsoft Dynamics. The interface is complex and clunky and when performing actions and tasks it's like playing a slot machine you don't know if you're going to get lucky and it will work or whether you will encounter a completely unintelligible error message. There's also very little compatibility with other modern cloud platforms like Zendesk and MailChimp. The software is slow and it feels like it is normal operating system software working through a cloud connector rather than software written for the cloud. You should not purchase Microsoft Dynamics, you will run into technical issues and when those issues occur there will be no support to assist you. If something goes wrong and you need to restore data you will be stuffed and your business will be significantly disrupted. Microsoft Dynamics isn't cheap either, and you will likely need the help of consultants/contractors who have used it before to get it working for you. Our company if currently assessing alternative CRM's.

Recommendations to other buyers: I advise companies to avoid Microsoft Dynamics at all costs. It has serious technical issues which could your business a lot of time and resources and could result in data loss. This is buggy software not written for the cloud. You should check out all the other great CRM's available!

Pros: Flexibility (online or on-premise), ease of use, open platform for advanced customization's and configurations, lower licensing cost, and good support from Microsoft.

Cons: System performance can be a little slower if your CRM instance has several integrations or processes (workflows) running. Also, their marketing add-ons are not a robust as what other CRM systems offer.

Overall: I have been working with Microsoft Dynamics CRM for 8+ years now and have seen the evolution of the application. The most recent versions have many great features and functionality for users, as well as developers and administrators. The platform allows for fairly easy integrations to other applications, including Microsoft Outlook, which makes Dynamics CRM a much more powerful tool. The licensing cost is lower than most CRM systems, and the support from Microsoft is usually better too. This application is great not only for a sales perspective, but also a service and marketing aspect.

Lastly, Microsoft allows for both cloud-based and on-premise versions of Dynamics CRM. This allows for more flexibility and sense of ownership of the overall system. I would definitely recommend Microsoft Dynamics CRM to any business, big or small.

Recommendations to other buyers: If your company uses other Office 365 products, look at signing an Enterprise Agreement with Microsoft to lower the CRM licensing cost and to get more benefits from Microsoft.

Pros: Customizations (workflows, views, etc..) are easy to create and manage.

Cons: Like any Microsoft product, the errors can be vague and difficult to troubleshoot.

Overall: I have managed 2011 On Prem and 2015 Hosted deployments and I have enjoyed both. When deployed within the MS stack it is easily managed and extended though custom development becomes a little trickier when bolting on to other resources outside of the MS stack. Overall usability is fantastic and I have always had an easy time gaining valuable buy in from end users, that level of engagement always makings development, testing, and training much easier.

Dynamics is a robust tool and is often under utilized when deployed, I am a big fan of the marketing tools.

Recommendations to other buyers: My advice is to utilize this with other Microsoft products - SharePoint, Office (Newer Version), PowerBI, Windows Tablets/SmartPhones, Dynamics AX, Dynamics GP - The experience is remarkable when you use the solutions together. A midsize business can operate, from an IT perspective, like a large multi-national. Sales pipeline management, customer data management, marketing campaigns and communications, pricing, product management, account services, dynamic reporting...all within one tool. The Online solution is very affordable and easily rolled in with other solutions, providing a fantastic and modern solution for sales, marketing, supply chain, manufacturing, operations, field services, IT, or whatever you need.

Pros: It is very easy to use, new users adapt to the way of consulting or generate transactions in the system quickly. It is easy to extract and import information to the different tables. For audits, the system has a change log which shows in detail who affected the data and the values before and after. For pricing, the system handles in a simple way the various prices to customers, even within a client you can have several categories with different prices depending on the commercial negotiation with the client. Finally, the system allows you to access all historical and transactional data to generate reports and help as a reference for decision making.

Cons: The basic version of the system does not have a basic reporting module. all the analyzes were done in excel with the data extracted from the system. On the other hand, it does not have a robust module for managing fixed assets, measuring profitability, etc. The system is very transactional. At least it is my experience with the module purchased by the company at that time.

Overall: Easy to use and the system has what it takes to manage a high level business.

Pros: I like it for the following reasons:

Cons: During the start-up of a model at Microsolf Dinamic for the evaluation of projects with viable purposes, a series of discomforts were presented in the implementation process because it was not adapted to the organization, for when a lot of time was spent looking for ways to adapt the models offered by the system and benefits to the demands of the company.

It is a structured, organized and defined program for a high level company, because, when using it for organizations that are starting, it is difficult to implement the tools. presenting the risk that said program is not the one indicated for the organization. It is recommended to define the characteristics, objectives, goals, processes, structures and functions of the organization before starting its use.

Overall: Is a program that offers a series of tools, complementary information, organization methods, and load templates of basic information that were used for the determination of processes of our organizations being a guide of great help.

Pros: It's a hugely powerful business automation tool. And easily integrable with multiple communication, social and business tools (example: SharePoint, Outlook, Office 365:, Skype and PowerBI). The options for Business Automation are easier to perform and more powerful, encompassing many features in itself. Customize the complete sales workflow with multiple reports and advanced indicators that put it in context with additional situations."

Cons: Implementing this tool and developing the workflow can take more time than planned since there are many more options. This CRM is a very serious thing, it has powerful collaborative tools and offers many more tools than you can imagine or need, in the end they all contribute ... is easy to integrate with other 3rd party administrative systems. and other email and document management systems. is very complicated to personalize and it is uphill to get the most out of the program. A lot of time and effort to learn how to customize the program, or hire a professional consultant to customize it"

Pros: This program is very complete, allows you to jointly manage the planning of your business resources and customer relationship management, it is also very intuitive because it is handled in a similar way to the most popular Microsoft programs, so it will be very easy to implement in the company and the learning curve will be very short, with this program you will be able to automate and relate several financial processes with the time of development per project, which allows you to have a generalized vision of how much you will earn, so project your earnings and lost, in addition to having first-rate tools for the relationship with customers, sending requests and progress reports for each project, the features it offers are very useful and the benefits are enormous.

Pros: It sustains our business. We have a multi-stage sales process and we've set up the CRM to support each step. The workflow flows nicely and we've created dashboards which incentivize our sales team. There are add-ons available which enrich functionality; for example we add leads and contacts to marketing lists which sync with Mailchimp.

Cons: The user interface could be better. It reminds me of UIs circa 2001. There's a feeling that it's been developed for techies by techies. If Microsoft took the time to improve the interface for the end user (allow users to customize their own forms using drag and drop, for example) it would be an outstanding product.
Another shortcoming is the amount of customization which requires writing code. Some things which should be straightforward to customize using workflows actually require a programmer.

Overall: MS Dynamics is indispensable for our management training company. I'd like to give a shout out to XRM which does a spectacular job of supporting the product.

Cons: It is complex to work without knowledge without receiving an induction of the different phases of the program to understand and work on it, so a large percentage of users end up using the program a little, we can run the risk that it will not be effective and adaptable for our company as it could be for another.

Overall: Through the management of this platform it is possible to obtain professional tools that help in the Optimization of your business operations

Comments: We've been using Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online at our company for just over a year now, and while I can say that I've enjoyed its powerful tracking and customization features, overall it has been a pain to use because it is not very user friendly at first (steep learning curve for new CRM users) and any deeper customization requires programming know-how. Another notable issue is the fact that Dynamics basically does not integrate with anything, aside from Microsoft Office apps and Microsoft Outlook. As a smaller company that uses many different apps and software to handle our business processes (Google Apps for company email, Campaign Monitor for marketing, etc.), it can be frustrating to not have any integration options available with our CRM tool. Even if we could get a workaround through Zapier or IFTTT, that would be fine, but not even they have integration capabilities. Our only choices are paying for a pre-made software tool or bringing in our own programmer to make any necessary integration. If you are using Microsoft software and apps for the majority of your business activities (namely Outlook), then Dynamics can provide a lot of value for your Sales team. Otherwise, is you're looking for a more flexible tool, you might be better off looking elsewhere.

Pros: Powerful data tracking, simple user interface, good customization options, great for tracking complex orders, comes with templates (email, reports, sales documents), email integration available, social media integration available

Cons: Difficult for new users to learn, support documentation and resources are scattered and not always relevant to your issue, customer support is hard to reach and not very helpful, tutorials only cover basic features when there is so much more, no integration with non-Microsoft apps without custom development.

Pros: I think advantages of using this software is many since its application can be used in various uses, as our company is a start-up company we are using it for data management of our products and users data, user interface available in this software is impressive, it allows us to customize as for our requirements even for newbies , program functionality is very well advanced, better information about products are given to customers using this software.

Cons: One thing that I faced the problem with this software is regarding the minimum number of users required to get subscribed is five, for the new company starters they face the problem with this and also many people worry about is dealing with CRM software problems, I hope they will fix it very soon.

Overall: We been using this software for past one and half years, It is an awesome product that is available in the market right now comparing to many other CRM software's, customizable user-interface makes it very attractive with various template layout available, grid layout can be easily edited according to requirement of user , various API also can be interfaced, all activities can be arranged according to requirement, there is also a mobile version where mobile clients can make use of it by simply adding the API from the mobile they can easily manage records, virtual assistance available through Cortana and many more.

Pros: As a CRM, Dynamics can hold buckets and buckets of data. It's customizability without additional cost for features per user (unlike SalesForce,) is what really sets it apart as a CRM. A good quality IT staff and Dynamics admin can make this program sing.

Cons: Out of the box, it is much too complex for the actual daily user. A Dynamics-pro admin (which is very hard to find) may love all the access, but a sales or customer support user has to use four clicks instead of one to complete simple daily tasks. That may sound like a small thing, but when there are hundreds of tasks to complete and calls to make in a day, extra clicks are a major productivity drain. Microsoft has recently almost doubled the cost per user per month while offering no upgrades to actual functionality, stability, or ease of use. I'm all for charging the right price, but this price seems out of proportion with product development.

Pros: Offline access. Tight integration with Microsoft products. Multiple dashboards. Built-in marketing and automation tools.It helps in sales, marketing, and customer service professionals track which customers they've spoken with, when they spoke, and the topic under discussion.Very graphic and visual interface; the homepage is a series of graphs that illustrate metrics related to customer opportunities. It also categorizes opportunities based on how far along they are in the sell cycle.

Cons: software nice but Expensive. Steep learning curve. Difficult-to-find trial.Integration of all the processes of the company in a single solution, applications that were independent for each area were eliminated.The layout looks like that of a amateur program. There is alot of white space, and it just feels lacking in features. Other than record customer data and display it back, it doesn't do much of anything.

Overall: I find that it combines everything I need to do with relative ease.
Excellent analytic's make this a winner for me. Allows me to track sales with ease and is bundled in a reasonable price.

Customize: add columns, tables, modify forms, create workflows, etc.

Pros: Easy to customize based on your needs - add new entities (tables), add/remove fields, change the form, hide fields.

You can create "javascript" rules with a simple way named 'business rules'.
The workflows help you to trigger emails, update, create other records and so on, based on the type of event.
Create like 'wizards' in order to guide the user in to the create or update of the record (named: 'business process flow' or you can use Dialogs).

If you need something more deep you can code a plugin or workflow, or code javascript if is something for the UI.

Cons: The internet explorer edge it doesn't work well, sometimes you have some issues. Is better use Internet Explorer, Chrome or Firefox (Opera is not good for Dynamics).

Careful with the javascript, sometimes could be tricky in Chrome and Firefox.

Overall: Very stable, customizable, very helpful for the users.

Cons: With the change of the versions of CRM Dynamics the javascripts that are used in the crm must be verified and updated. Crm update packages can not be allowed to be installed with automatic updates because if they are installed incorrectly they can compromise the system, they must be downloaded one by one and installed by the personnel of it one by one to avoid problems, this for the case of crm on premise

Overall: Better management of all the information of the clients, in the cases of the sales, services and marketing cycle, in the same order of ideas, as it has the possibility of extending itself by creating new modules to manage any type of information that is desired, provides some additional capabilities under the same platform, meeting user needs, without the need to acquire other software but extending the crm through the XRM libraries

Pros: I love the ease of use, rich functionality and simple customization process. Microsoft is a huge player in the market and therefore investd a lot into research and development, and have recently committed to a 6-month update rhythm, meaning you get more features, more quickly than ever. Plus, it sits inside MS Outlook, and allows you to track all your emails, appointments, calls, and more to individual clients with the click of a button.

Cons: The latest release that we have, CRM 2013, is a bit bland looking with lots of white space. It could be designed with a little more flair to be appealing and easy to read. They changed a lot in this version and not all of the changes are good. They eliminating one function on the sales side that I used all the time and I am not sure I like it. When converting a lead, you used to have the option of checking off boxes to create the Customer, Contact and Opportunity and you could also check "Open these records up conversion" so you all of them popped up in separate windows so you could finish adding details to each of them. Now, there is no window for that, and it just creates the Customer Record and Contact record in the background for you, but you have to go out and open it yourself. A lot of our salespeople forget to do this and just edit the Opportunity Form that opens with you convert the Lead. Microsoft does this sometimes, thinks that they are improving something but fail to actually ask those who use it. I wish they'd do more to include current customers in the design process.

Recommendations to other buyers: Think about what your dream system would do, and what information you want to be able to get out of it. Strongly consider the cloud option. And if you are looking at CRMOnline, save yourself a ton of time and get Office 365 if you don't already have it. They integrate and work really well together.

Choose your Microsoft partner wisely. Customizing is often key. Basics are fine.

Pros: Mobile version. Lots of integration options (given that there is a complexity!). Office integration. Cheaper than some competitive products.

Cons: No integration with other Dynamics products. They only share the name! We use GP and everything has to be custom integration. No multi-select (has to be custom programmed) so if that's a requirement like it is for us since customers may be interested in multiple products, that's a pain. Still getting new features that existing CRM already have.

Overall: We deployed CRM 2013 (and currently moving to CRM 2016). The system is getting better with time. Some stuff like Exchange sync is very sensitive and seems to always be having issues. Integration with Outlook (CRM for Outlook) is ok but also very sensitive!

We had many projects to integrate for other systems such as our ERP but our local partner was not able to deliver on their promise to do so. I believe for anything Dynamics (CRM, GP, ...), the partner is key. Choose wisely!

The mobile version works well and deploys easily! We run CRM on-premise.

Recommendations to other buyers: Find a good partner, plan time and money for customization unless you just want a basic CRM in which case this may work out of the box for you.

I have had a positive experience with Microsoft Dynamics Office 365.

Pros: I am able to able to retrieve large volumes of documents from clients from the Share Point without
bogging down Outlook. I get a notification when an item has been sent to my Share Point and who it is from. I can set up multiple shared folders to receive documents from multiple clients and have different categories within each client folder. I like that I can also upload and name documents to my clients and they get a notification to go to Share Point to retrieve the documents. I also like that I can have a coworkers emails open to my computer to monitor so I don't have to run back and forth between offices.

Cons: There is not much I don't like about the software. I sometimes have a problem retrieving a document from the delete file.

Overall: I have a way to organize documents by client in a concise way without having to wade through emails to find them.

Pros: Excellent introduction book on Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2017. I believe the description says it but it is written pre-release so some of the information in it is not accurate anymore with the release of LEO (Spring) and coming soon VEGA (Fall) things are changing as programs do. Still, core concepts, best practices, and general functions have stayed the same.

The author did a good job of explaining the differences from 2011 to 2013. I would have liked the author to have also spent some time explaining the modules in CRM Microsoft is not improving on and trying to get away from such as Reporting, Marketing (Dynamics Marketing coming online), etc. I think it may have been helpful to talk about how to do integrations into CRM with SSIS or Scribe possibly but that is a niche. Also more could have been covered about the Outlook Client which may have been covered better in a previous version. Notice I am being pretty picky, it is hard to offer improvements on this book.

Cons: I'm a little disappointed that this doesn't provide enough details in some subject areas (short paragraphs on the subject doesn't cut it) and hasn't really been all that helpful to me as a new administrator of Dynamics CRM 2017. I have found more helpful information specific to what I was looking for, on the web. Perhaps I was looking for something that this book is not. In any event, it hasn't been helpful enough to justify the cost. Just my opinion.

Pros: Microsoft has set the bar with Dynamics for Office and I am at a loss for words in the capabilities of what it can do out of the box, let alone how it can be customized to suit nearly every business type. As an enterprise customer, I have found Microsoft Dynamics more than adequate for my company and to put into perspective just how much it has to offer, we currently only utilize about 55% of the features. The user interface is very clean and put together well that has a strong, professional appeal to it and the trust level Microsoft has gained, gives us the confidence of knowing we are also in the best possible hands when it comes to our companies private proprietary data.

Cons: There is a lot to take in when first starting off and a great deal of setting up to shape it to work for your particular business application, so the only con would be it's a little overwhelming when first starting out but we are impressed nonetheless.

Overall: Tons of apps to add and configure that makes the possibilities endless for what does and can do to help our business grow and grow our business in the right direction with its stunning visual charts and widgets and data management.

Pros: It is a complete REP, it covers many modules where you can control all the administrative operations of the entire company, it is multi-user and you can generate financial and management reports with information on the day of operations.

Cons: It is a bit complex to configure, it has not been user friendly for simple configurations such as changes in tax values that affect invoices and payments. The support has not been very good when you want to have additional reports or there have been problems with updating equipment, for example, the printing of checks stopped working due to an operating system update of the computers where the prints are made, We spent a couple of days trying to identify the problem and the support did not support us in the solution.

Overall: It automates the processes of the company, it has availability of the administrative information of the company in the same platform, Saving time and costs, has a simple user interface, similar to that of the other Microsoft tools, such as the Office that helps that is easy to use for the user.

Pros: It is easily integrated with the Microsoft platform, this helps significantly in its operation. Additionally, its client access for users is very stable and easy to use, because its interface is very similar with the other software of the same company. The configuration files are on intuitive sites within the team, which makes it easy to achieve this. The application is stable in the different versions of windows systems.

Cons: The modification within the system is complex, when we wanted the system to do other things, the configuration processes are very long. In the version that we have installed, we have not managed to make a distribution of the equipment so easily, we always have to make many manual adjustments. The adjustment processes of new configuration files have many steps and verification processes that make an update for example of a new tax rate adjustment very long. The processes of updates of new versions, are complex, because the changes that we have made can be lost in a new version.

Overall: We have more control of the company's financial operation. The data is centralized. Now we have better control of the records. The backups can now be done directly from the BD and hot.

Pros: Dynamics 3665 makes a giant leap from its former versions of 2016, 2015 etc.
This includes a suite of new color pallets while maintaining the old system work flows, tables, and structure. Not much has changed in terms of functionality, still the same great power of a robust CRM that is a direct part of the Microsoft ecosystem. The ability to customize work flows, rules, and views, without knowing socialized code is a big plus.

Cons: Microsoft has some of the most disfunctional support teams known to man. Without paying loads of money for dedicated 'Gold' support. We are even partners with Microsoft however this is still an issue we face.

Overall: The ability to quickly and easily manage all aspects of a business, from leads, to quotes, to opportunity management. Including customized dashboards with drillable information.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 is the first cloud for accounting. Comes with a great bundle package in CRM.

Pros: I like this software because it comes with a data model, which allows me to use CRM, create forms using the platform models, and download apps. I like this software the most because it can easily be downloaded using a desktop, tablet, phones, and multiple-platform support. For business owners, the it is important to use a software where you can create invoices. The Microsoft Dynamics 365 gives business owners the ability to create invoices, and request payments online which transparency is important in here. I can create a balance sheet, track expenses, and set prices.

Cons: The Microsoft video presentation is a mess, I find it easier to practice and customize to my ability where I can keep track of my expenses, track prices, and create invoices. Wish I could use the balance sheet with visual reports, rather than numbers.

Overall: It has a cloud data developed, which I can download the app using my phone, tablet, and desktop. It's all about managing and navigating through the system and different ways I can assess the system using home, office, or anyplace to track expenses and view the balance sheet.

Overall: Microsoft Dynamics CRM is a software that makes communications between sales and marketing a seamless interaction. I have been able to teach new employees to navigate and function within this software in a matter of a day. Pros: I really like being able to start quickly with a CRM in the cloud. Additionally, the workflows functionality works excellent, the integration with Exchange Online works perfectly so we can send emails from CRM. It is easy to customize which I love. Additionally, the standard lead to opportunity flow works good enough for us without any customization. It is also easy for developers to create JavaScript to control aspects of the user interface.

Overall, Dynamics 365 (previously called Dynamics CRM) feels like a really well built software.

Cons: The Project Service Automation module was not as good out of the box as I would like it to be. We will need to customize it before using it. Additionally, there are sometimes errors and I am not yet quite sure the reason for the errors (but on the bright side the errors do not seem to affect the efficacy of the software).

Overall: Tracking our pipeline, getting notifications, integration with Office 365 email and tasks, tracking due dates of our customers maintenance plans and support plan, tracking all of our contacts and accounts in one database.

The latest version of CRM 365 is lovely. Easy to access all my required forms from anywhere.

Pros: The Dynamics 365 version has better navigational menus. I can find the sections i need faster and with fewer clicks. The menu drop downs are logically arranged and visually easy to follow. I love the Advanced Find feature which allows me to create customised views of my data, and the fact that i have all my customer data/ interactions in once place is really advantageous.

Cons: Customised forms can become tedious in terms of how they load and close. Closing a form can sometimes take time. Also forms opening in a new tab tend to move navigation away form the focal screen. The synchronizing of CRM with Outlook can take a long time at start up of Outlook.

Overall: Centralized customer data, tracking of communication over the course of a business relationship.

Dynamics for Sales can be customized to do pretty much anything to fit your companies needs.

Pros: Integration with Microsoft suite of products. Superior level of customization and integration into 3rd party software and apps. The large number of line of business modules is allowing it to be utilized by far more departments. The LinkedIn integration has made gathering Sales Analytics simpler and faster : now I can find referrals and introductions for new business. The Outlook integration is also simple and easy to use and allows for all communication tracking within the Sales module with a click of a button.

Cons: The UI could definitely needs some improvement. HubSpot is a good example of great UI/UX integration. The price is a little high when compared to smaller CRM solutions. It's not easy to start using this product out-of-the-box.

Overall: I can see all previous contact, both by myself or others. It's one place for all documents, able to keep track of completed tasks, history of the customer, etc.

Pros: This software is customizable, flexible, and able to easily learn the customization's are easy to create and manage The intuitive capabilities, and the easy to learn customization process make it very cool to use . Pros: This is a great tool to use for a company to use to keep organized and allow multiple users to access information in one simple platform. Customizable to each customer. Integrates with Microsoft office which is great for our business as we use Outlook and Excel on a daily basis.

Cons: Pricey compared to other CRM modules. Difficult to use initially - this product is not ready "out of the box", in fact, it takes quite a bit of time to set up and a significant amount of manpower. Might be a good idea to get a contractor to set this up, or at a minimum someone who is IT savvy. Not very user intuitive either, there is a large margin for error (duplicate entries, dirty data, etc) if not maintained properly on a regular basis.

Overall: Dynamics 365 for Sales is providing us with a good CRM solution to use across my company. We use it to record leads, potential business, quotes, orders and invoices for all of our accounts.

Pros: Very good integration with other Microsoft products we use at our organization. The architecture of the product makes it flexible to support specific business needs and scenarios that our organization requires. Very good licensing conditions for educational organizations.

Cons: At least in the release we have (Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011) the integrated emailing functionality is not very good. The software does not provide good tools for the designing of emails. You can do it if the email you are sending is a basic one, for better designed ones you definitely need to create them in another tool and then send them using MS Dynamics CRM.

Overall: Very good adoption by the users, as it is user friendly and very similar to other Microsoft products we use.

Cons: The duplicate detection seems to only pick up on duplicate emails, not files. Like any Microsoft product, the errors can be vague and difficult to troubleshoot sometimes. I sometimes have a problem retrieving a document from the delete file.I dont think the marketing add on's are as good as their supposed to be.

Overall: One of the benefits of Dynamics is that it boasts one of the most user-friendly interfaces available, with it being incredibly fast, never overwhelmingly cluttered and very reliable.
You could also train up your staff to use and would not take long at all. I recommend to everyone

Pros: What I enjoyed most about dynamics was to create scheduled reports. This way, I got the newest changes in data automatically. When I became a manager, I was tasked with ongoing utilization reports. Manually pulling the data was prone to error and time consuming. Once I created the reports I needed, I knew the data was accurate and I saved countless hours over the 2 years I had to be in that position and provide the reports.

Cons: Trying to filter the data. In some cases my queries would produce 0 results for no apparent reason. I knew the attributes were in the data, but the query would return zero. This would be nerve wracking when I was under pressure to provide a custom report quickly.

CRM did not work for us at all. Complicated. Expensive!

Cons: This did not work for our business at all. We were convinced a customized software would fit our business needs, but it never worked for us! It is complicated, tons of glitches, hard to use - even just trying to setup basic user accounts is a challenge. We integrated CRM with GP (Accounting), which was a terrible experience for us that we are still recovering from. We never knew if the data was making it to/from - very unreliable. I would not recommend this software to anyone, unless they are using it for basic sales tracking. It cost our company a lot of money in the long run...

Pros: The glimmering of a competent application are here, but not fully realized yet. There is more flexibility than is readily apparent, and if you are willing to live with a substandard interface there is much that you can do.

Cons: We moved to dynamics from our old customer CRM, and it has been a little jarring to say the least. When you are first introduced to the interface it is not immediately apparent where everything is. From a front end perspective, things are hidden in odd menus, nothing is intuitive, and things almost seem a little "wacky" in a "why the heck would they put that there?" type of way.

Overall: This product needs some direction from a usability standpoint, otherwise competitors that have a clear vision will start to eat away at Microsofts pie. That said, it is entirely use-able, if not sometimes an exercise in frustration (at least from a front end, navigational perspective).

Cons: I believe it can be a little more user friendly, sometimes this software has very weird error messages that make absolutely no sense and become very frustrating at times. I believe the ribbon on the top of the menu could be customized better. Other than that it is a cool program

Overall: Microsoft dynamics is a great core product and if you have the right partner in place that has a proven track record to deliver you will be in a good position to have a successful implementation and ongoing use. It has lots of customization opportunities, and you can build many reports. A great tool only if you have an awesome consultant.

Pros: We have been able to successfully integrate many in house applications into both platforms. Both are on premise due to the amount of enhancements and modifications required to meet the organizational needs. They are both offered in hosted cloud alternatives as well but are not quite as robust as of yet.

Cons: On the CRM side, obtaining adequate, skilled resources is somewhat of a challenge. On the GP side, as our organization has grown and become more International, many challenges have come forward requiring us to seek solutions outside the GP environment.

Overall: Both GP and CRM have a somewhat lower total cost of ownership and have allowed us to scale the solution throughout the organization.

Takes a long time to learn the ins and outs of Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Pros: This system is a 'one-stop-shop' for our company. Our finance, service, shipping, failure analysis and warehouse management is all managed through Microsoft Dynamics 365. It is nice having anywhere access and it looks like we'll be looking into adding the field services module in the future to add to our subscriptions under Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Cons: There is a ton of training needed for Microsoft Dynamics 365. When our company finally upgraded, it took us months to train different departments. The system is very complex and navigating through different reporting elements is a bit overwhelming. Also, the ability to create custom reports is not intuitive.

Comments: We deployed Microsoft Dynamics CRM a little over a year ago and have very mixed feelings about it. We went with the cloud version of Dynamics instead of on-premise, leading to us having almost zero control over versioning and updates. Users report pop-up error boxes constantly on all platforms used to access it (Outlook, web, and mobile app).

Pros: Can handle large amounts of data Cloud version is scalable on demand, including storage database No resource limits on # of users accessing system at the same time Easy to manage subscription-based licenses

Cons: Little to no control over version updates No warning on license structure changes Major platform updates can wipe out any customization that has been done Little to no support on Mac

Recommendations to other buyers: Carefully consider your options and what you need out of a CRM program. Dynamics has its strengths but a significant amount of issues. I'm hoping the switch to Dynamics 365 will help improve the service.

We've been on Dynamics for 10 years now and it has kept pace with our growth.

Pros: Dynamics does everything we need and more. What I really like is the consistent updates and upgrades from Microsoft. The Report Manager is very flexible and useful. Excellent support from our local representative/trainer, who always seems to be up to speed on the new features.

Cons: Probably the only thing I would note is that for a mid size business Dynamics is very much like shooting a fly with a cannon. There is so much power and features that we do not use, but also seem to clutter the screens.

Overall: as I wrote in the review - a very powerful financial solution. We only utilize maybe 60% of what it can do, but that's on us as an organization. Larger companies would definitely be happy with Dynamics.

Overall: We have been using for almost a year Microsoft Dynamics Navision, version 2016 in one of our companies. The project implementation is done by Sure step methodology and in general NAV is a good ERP for SMB companies. However, you highly depend on the local Microsoft Partner that will do the localization add-ons that you need. This could be a costly process as then you have 2 support fees. One is an enhancement plan to MS and another one is (if you want it) the support plan that includes localization changes. In the long term this is a good ERP however you have to plan you project well not to have additional costs.
ERP is stable, it just works and has a well known user interface that is the same as it is by other Microsoft products.
You however cant expect a lot of in house modifications to the ERP as you have to be certified in Navision add-on programing. This is nevertheless a good thing as then you know that each upgrade will be done with ease.
The biggest challenge in any Sure Step project is the FIT-GAP analysis and there one has to be careful not to have a lot of additional requests that do not have actually have any additional value but could raise the costs of your project.

Pros: I like the fact its features are very distinct from every other CRM I have touched in the industry so far. It enable us import and export data, and create automated work flows which only makes our work better and much more efficient.
Integrates well too with Outlook and that's icing on the cake for the sales team.

Cons: Dynamics pricing seems to have taken on a steep course for the past few years, maybe the product value is worth the price though. However ,Dynamic also has a lengthy learning curve ; new sales colleagues at work have had to undergo an in-house training course lasting over a month ,to even get started with this program.

Comments: This CRM might not be the prettiest CRM out there but it has great functionality. It's intuitive, powerful and allows access to your leads and contacts through views you can quickly create yourself that keep 1000s of records manageable. Task lists and appointments that show up on your Outlook calendar allow for a lengthy sales process with hundreds of prospects without dropping any balls.

Pros: Best features - integration with Outlook so emails you write to prospects appear on their walls. Integration with Mailchimp via PowerPack (cheap add-on) allows maintenance of mailing lists in one place. Flexibility - I'm not a programmer but I can create dashboards and views that give us insight into our opportunity pipeline, and customize screens so we can capture only the data that's important to us. Workflows which automate processes. I could go on... Our CRM is hosted with XRM and they provide OUTSTANDING support at no extra cost. The five star support rating is for them. Better than trying to get support through Microsoft directly.

Cons: As I mentioned, not the prettiest CRM. Occasional frustrations when trying to implement something new - but there's a big community of users who post solutions online. Microsoft KB articles aren't particularly useful in general.

Pros: Very comprehensive feature set with unlimited possibilities, plugins, add-ons and integrations. Plenty of freelance developers who can assist with projects. Support is brilliant, cannot fault them at all.

Cons: It takes a lot of time, money and effort to get the system working how you want with conversions and data sets etc. Seems to suffer from a few outages every now and then. Training can take a while for staff due to all the features etc. Abit expensive and the built-in storage is poor so you can quickly find you require to buy extra storage for uploading/attaching files etc.

Pros: There are many features present in the software like it can be integrated with onenote, onedrive , sharepoint, Nav, Dynamic AX, etcetra.
It is extremely customisable and can be modified according to a user's requirement.
Even Azure is providing connectors to CRM, so that data can be exported automatically from CRM to Excel and Onedrive. Apart from this it is really easy to learn the functionalities of Dynamics software.

Cons: It is a little costly in comparison and user interface is not so good and can be improved and sometimes minor glitches are encountered which ruins the user experience.

Overall: It helped me to maintain customer's relationship with company and helped in marketing our company's products and providing customers help desk soltuion.

Pros: What I like the most is that it allows me to improve the efficiency in the use of Outlook, I can see more information about the recipients, I have been able to schedule the delivery of emails when I consider it more appropriate, I can review past activities, the system reminds me of a way closer to the activities or phone calls or meetings in my agenda, also improves the search for records in documents associated with the mail, in appointments. It allows me to sort data based on the multiple columns that the system presents

Pros: Love the amount of data available following each interaction, this allows me to keep track of what is going on not just with my interactions but for the whole team. Supports a wide array of different channels, so you can speak to your customers in a place that suits them. A particular feature that really stands out is the virtual agents, I am not AI expert but these things are game changer and you should take a lot.

Pros: I like how we can change a lot of it in-house to match our business' needs. There are occasions when we have to outsource, but it's fairly simple to go in and customize the system to what we need when we need it.

Cons: For all its customization strengths, randomly there are things that are locked and you can't change. That is frustrating when we run across that. Our most recent was photos. You can add a photo to a record, but only a certain size. No option that we can see to change the size or make a new field without outsourcing. Not a huge deal, but it would have been nice.

Overall: Quick solutions to business problems.

Pros: The only thing that I liked most about this software is that it was the only thing we had available to do our job at work. We were able to see what our patient's information was, as it was needed to complete the work tasks.

Cons: The least thing that I liked about this software, was that it always seems to shut down often, There seemed to be an issue all the time and at the worst times of a busy workplace. Cons: If there are a lot of customizations, custom code, or plugins, system performance can be impacted negatively. Although it is improving with every update, the user interface can be a little difficult to navigate through.

Pros: What features doesn't this product have... You could literally have your team all over the world and they can see exactly what you see and you will both be on the same page. Every aspect of you business can be tracked and implemented into the system. There is so much to this software and it is truly invaluable to our business. Everything from marketing, inventory, to everything is track able here and there are also great messaging capabilities.

Cons: There might be too much? Is that possible? There are so many features that if you are new to programming software it can be a lot to take in. Mind you, this will likely not be an issue with most people and once you get it all in there, you will wish it had been there forever. ALSO if you are stuck in anything the support team is amazing...

Pros: As the HR representative, I had a lot of different hats that I had to wear, this product provided support in this area with its ease of use in the area of financials. I also used it to assist in managing staff/employee information. Very useful for keeping information organized and streamlined. Pros: It has the ability and potential to maintain/organize a lot of data. Also they Dynamics report option is AMAZING! It's great to be able to specify exactly what you want it to find and get it almost every time.

Cons: There are certain things in it that just don't make sense or could be streamlined a little more. For example, when filling out a ticket, rather than being able to tab all the way through, you have to skip around and fill in some fields and then go back up and fill in the rest. Also, Notes should be easier to add. That is the most commonly used feature so why it's hidden in a "..." under another list is just not as efficient as it could be.

Overall: It has streamlined our workflows tremendously and improved our ability to track issues from beginning to end.

CRM is extremely intuitive and the ERP module, though it takes time to set-up depending on what you want to keep a "pulse" on but after set-up.......you'll ask yourself how you've survived this long without it!

Cons: It's a "bear" or "time consuming" to configure "out of the box" and Customer Service is well.......typical customer service.

Overall: Seamlessly integrates to the rest of your Microsoft licensed products. Intuitive for not only the in-house user but robust enough for the mobile folks as well!

Pros: Once synchronized, you can see Outlook emails, contacts, appointments, and all your client's CRM information in one place.
 
Convert an Outlook email into a sales opportunity that records all conversations and data in a single system. In this way it is not necessary to "copy / paste" the notes from Outlook to CRM.

Pros: Dynamics is a very powerful Customer Retention Management application which allows users to track customers from the initial contact/lead throughout the entire sales process in a single, easy-to-use interface. It was very easy for us to get up and running with Dynamics and specialized training wasn't required to get started. Applications and data were easy to access, even without an internet connection, and data/reports can be exported effortlessly. User interfaces are very clean and intuitive for the most part.

Cons: Dynamics is quite expensive for smaller organizations, so pricing may be prohibitive. Because the features and integrations are so robust, things can quickly become unmanageable if they're not setup and managed correctly. More complex operations would most likely require hiring a consultant who is very experienced with Dynamics.

Overall: Dynamics is a robust CRM solution that allows users to manage their customers and contacts in a single application. Basic implementations are fairly easy to setup, and specialized training is not required, except for more advanced integrations/implementations.

Comments: I have used a few different CRMs in my career and home business, ranging in occupations from Insurance, to Call Center Services, to Real Estate and Property management as well as Legal Services and Home Consultation - I have found Microsoft Dynamics CRM to not only be the most flexible with all these different occupations needs, but so easy to use, a download that is accessible to all who need access, within my budget to the point I have more to spend on other applications partnering with this like Timesheets and Project Manager. I would highly rate this because the alternative options are extremely expensive, promising you better applications and ease of access when you get the same thing for basically free to start.

Pros: Easy to Use, Accessible, Simple to Navigate, Not Expensive, Flexible with Who it's meant to attract/Many different reasons for use.

Cons: Really nothing except it's minor limitations on editing/creating forms and personalization.. For the most part, easy to personalize, but then there's the details of some areas in the system you are limited to edit and create for even more accessibility.

Recommendations to other buyers: If I could recommend this product to someone, I would make sure it wasn't to any person or business who intends to use a CRM software for Large Companies, or a large clientele base (Over 100,000) because the content can make it run slower, as it is intended for slower businesses or home offices for organization, not so much multi-employee/staff use like Applied Epic is.

Pros: It is very versatile. It gives you the tools to create a big data processing and management system. We use Nav in daily basis and gives us the confidence of security, integrity and even the very useful Web services. All the dynamics system is like Access on steroids.

Cons: Price. Licensing is too expensive. It needs constant development and even for that a license is needed.
In order to have reports, we built our own but most of the people buy a 3rd party solution for that. More costs. If money is not a problem, this is for you.

Overall: Security and data integrity.

Great, practical and very dynamic, very useful for students and entrepreneurs.

Pros: The ease of management that it has in the student field, shows a great variety of designs and ideas that develops the ingenuity and creativity of those who use it. Microsoft is the software that should be in every home; for its practicality and variety.

Comments: My impression thus far of Microsoft Dynamics is that it is beta software not ready for production. Artifacts leftover from trial versions are nearly impossible to remove. It took almost a month of effort to reset my company's instance to remove demo data. Once completely reset, the module we require, Project Service Automation, is nowhere to be found. Obtaining support is far too difficult. Most of the people who answer the phone haven't heard of PSA. Calling the support number on the Dynamics 365 web page gets you to a sales person. The salesperson hasn't heard of PSA, and gives you a different number to call. Using the new number, you get a person who tries to understand what your issue is to open a ticket. Usually, that person has no understanding of Dynamics either, so you end up explaining your problem 2 or 3 times. In fact, they do not have access to any information about you at all, despite asking for user ID and phone number. That means that the 6 prior calls you made that could help the person writing up the ticket are unavailable. It also means that each time you call is exactly as cumbersome as the first. Once they do assign you a ticket number, you wait for a call, supposedly within hours. Meanwhile, I've had to wait more than 24 hours for one callback. If you are in a meeting when they do call, and your meeting has priority, you are compelled to call back and leave messages with the person assigned to you until you are both free.. For shame, Microsoft. You can do better. If you need help, there are hundreds of thousands of Java developers out there than can fix your product and your support system.

Pros: If it were to work, it would suit our needs beautifully. Integration from sales through to invoicing would be perfect.

Cons: Because it simply doesn't work after 2 months of configuration, resetting instances, reinstalling modules, and still not having an application even to configure, let alone use, it has negative value to this point.

Pros: The ability to integrate it with other Microsoft products and with most Marketing Automation platforms. Easy to navigate between Leads, Contacts, Accounts and Opportunities. The dashboard takes some practice to customize, but it allows visibility into many areas. The ability to qualify a lead by completing a set of steps.

Cons: Workflows and forms are not as intuitive as I would've preferred. Even though the CRM syncs natively with our Marketing Automation platform (Salesfusion), we found that a lot of customizations were still necessary, one of which being that the country field from our landing page forms did not communicate correctly with the country field inside Dynamics CRM because it was a drop down. The country field inside the CRM is a text field. As a result we had to create custom fields and map each country from the drop down to a unique ID from within the CRM...it ended up being a very time consuming task. Filters are not very intuitive, and the advanced find seems hard for our sales reps to get a good grasp of and feel comfortable using. Some settings only work in Internet Explorer, and it's not very efficient considering that Chrome is the mostly used browser.

Recommendations to other buyers: View demos of other comparable solutions such as Salesforce, Saleslogix, SugarCRM, etc. and pick the one that best fits your business needs. Make sure you have a clear idea of what your needs are, how you want to segment your data (leads. contacts, etc.) and identify some pain points to discuss before picking a solution.

Pros: I find the software is quick and user-friendly. Everything works well together and was very easy to explain to more elderly folk, which is important. This software is critical for my job so I would honestly be lost without it. Specifically, SharePoint has revolutionized the game and has greatly assisted my team in sharing information and integrating everything as one!

Cons: Nothing negative to say about it. Maybe, consider looking into updating the user interface but nothing major.

Pros: Easy to use, great functionality for sales, customer service and marketing, integration with the Microsoft stack (Office 365, Exchange server, etc.), easy to customize, feels like a really well designed software, very good security, flexible solution, easy to create validation rules, workflows, nice to be able to create new solutions separate from default solution, can send email notifications, show or hide fields based on conditions, a lot of out of the box dashboards and reports, the lead to opportunity flow works well, intuitive user interface.

Cons: They rebranded it to Dynamics 365 and also increased the cost of the on premise version. Also, it occasionally gets errors but they do not seem to cause any real problems.

Overall: Manage pipeline, keep track of all contact and account information, create notifications and reminders, help to structure our companies sales processes.

Pros: I like that it's cloud-based, so there's no on-premise hardware to keep updated or worry about getting out-of-date or breaking down.

Cons: They keep changing things "behind the scenes" - it's like coming home from work one day to find all your furniture subtly moved around a bit. Even worse is when they make changes that break your custom Dynamics CRM builds and you have to monkey around to get things working again! Also frustrating is when you have to play Musical Web Browsers to get logged in again...sometimes they'll make a change that breaks functionality in Internet Explorer, but now it works in Chrome (or vice versa)...and I love the irony that Microsoft Dynamics CRM doesn't work at all in Microsoft Edge.

Pros: I imagine that this product has some powerful functionality hidden away behind the mass of ribbons and edit popups, and it can be nice to have your CRM and email system all in one tool.

Cons: This is by far the worst software experience I have ever had. I am obligated to use this system on a weekly basis, and I always dread that part of my day. Even basic functionality such as merging marketing lists and sending emails is hidden behind so many layers of confusing icons and buttons, and more often than not comes along with an un-foreseeable obstacle unique to the software and additional minutes of searching google for forums which answer how to circumnavigate the problem. I have a very hard time believing that any potential features would be worth the frustration and loss of time that come with the basic and essential functionality of this tool.

Pros: The best thing about CRM for most organizations I've worked with is integration with the pre-existing Microsoft infrastructure. CRM integrates seamless with Active Directory, making logical access management a breeze. The product also enjoys a strong support community online and is well documented. There are also an array of add-ons to the software that I have helped implement which offer additional functionality to allow Dynamics CRM to integrate with e-commerce solutions, inventory/asset management solutions and much more.

Cons: Dynamics CRM was designed to be a locally hosted application. The current trend is pushing CRM solutions into the Software as a Service model. Microsoft allows for Dynamics CRM to be ran in the cloud on their Azure platform, but the software still doesn't seem to have the SAAS model that many organizations are looking for perfected yet. Dynamics CRM is also slower to evolve with the industry and arguably, has a much steeper learning curve than some of its biggest competitors like SalesForce.com

Recommendations to other buyers: Thoroughly research the amount of prep and expertise it will take to effectively run and manage CRM. Dynamics CRM offers much more extensive customization than many of it's SAAS competitors but is also far more sophisticated to implement. When evaluating CRM, I recommend visiting YouTube and watching short training and product evaluation videos on various offerings to get a true feel of what it takes to implement them and also to determine if the product will meet your needs.

Pros: It has lots of customization opportunities, and you can build many reports. That's about it. A great tool only if you have an incredible consultant.

Cons: Unless you are willing to spend a lot of money on a consultant building customizations, this is not the software for you. Even then you have to get a good consultant or again, this software is not for you. It does not connect easily to other Microsoft products. Microsoft will never let you know when they do a system update, and those usually cause customized codes to break.

Pros: We like the sales functions and the customizations available to us on the forms and the ability to export to dynamic worksheets to Excel is wonderful.

Cons: Two BIG cons. We were encouraged to use the software in the cloud. This was a mistake. it is SLOW and at times nonfunctional. Second, the reports are cumbersome to build and if you don't understand how to manipulate them correctly your data reported will be useless.

Overall: As I said before, it has been a good tool for us to store customer data information in great detail, track order history and pipeline leads.

My career start from this and I hope with new upgrades I am learning a lot in ERP.

Cons: I wish that you didn't have to play musical browsers to find one that works every time there's an update.

Overall: We've got Microsoft Dynamics CRM for our small business - being web-based makes it easy to expand as our sales team expands, and it also keeps the IT support issues to a very minimum.

But the flip side is that updates to browsers sometimes break things...I've had to switch users from Chrome to Firefox to IE and back around to Chrome again when Microsoft updates the back end or a browser gets updated and things stop working. And it's also kind of ridiculous that Microsoft would release Windows 10, shove Microsoft Edge down your throat as a replacement for Internet Explorer...but then have CRM not be supported by Edge. Really, guys?

Pros: Dynamics CRM is focused primarily on the organization of sales, marketing and service delivery (support services) - this is exactly what our company does. Why did we choose this CRM, because there are other equally popular products (we tried almost from a dozen analogues)? Simply the system from Microsoft provides the richest functionality "out of the box" and gives great opportunities for its expansion and adaptation to the requirements of business.

Cons: The system is comfortable, well-thought-out, allows you to work with customers from the first communication and until the completion of the project. So the system does not have any shortcomings.

Pros: A number of features, every year they will release new features. we have been using for last two years and we haven't explored all the features yet. Pros: That you can build on it as base platform , we did it adding a web application for the automated PO approvals which works Great! Integration from the previous software went well and there was good support. Being a large company it handles the volume pretty good, general ledger and payables, and we use it for inventories as well that has seemless integration within the software.

Pros: The abilty to thoroughly customise and alter the layout and setup to suit your business needs in incredibly indepth. The way it can also link into other systems & programs is also a brilliant benefit of using this piece of software. My company uses this as the primary system for managing all store & website transactions.

Cons: In the version i work on, jobs can only run one at a time (for the particular kind my company uses), this does mean that an awful lot of jobs can only be run overnight and some cannot be run every minute otherwise it would cause issues. The ability to run multiple jobs simultaniously without any record locking would be excellent.

Pros: For the end user it is a simple software to learn, it facilitates the integration of the information of the whole company, it allows a follow-up from start to end in all the internal processes

Cons: Modifications to the system can be a headache, the experience with partners has been disappointing even though when we have changed a couple of times, it seems that the common factor is bad attention

Overall: Integration of all the processes of the company in a single solution, applications that were independent for each area were eliminated

Pros: I like the variety of user defined fields and the ability to keep a substantial about of information. The system is simple to navigate and move around it. Sales and Service dashboards

Cons: The Dynamics 365 CRM is not as easy to use as the old CRM product. The ability to save and return to previous screen has been removed and the save feature is a very small icon at the bottom right of the screen. Prior version had Save, Save and Close, and Email a link feature that the new one does not have.

MS Dynamics offers an expected suite for CRM application with some updated features

Pros: Easy access to multiple tools configured within the system allows both technical and non-technical users to toggle through the application and utilize tools more easily than some competitor offerings. The system is designed for the current transition of many Call Centers to Cloud and Cloud based applications.

Cons: Users can expect upgrades to follow the predictable MS template of over-heavy on security and behind on general application.

Overall: Ease of use, integration with MS products and also plug and play capability with outside applications developed for Dynamics. It is an excellent CRM suite for large enterprises (Windows shops especially) and, for a price, customization is available from MS's strong Professional Services Team. Out of the box is fairly robust and, unless your enterprise requires heavy customization, you should be up and running very quickly with an out of the box implementation.

Pros: The part of Microsoft Dynamics CRM that I saw most value in were following.
Good visuals of pipeline, campaigns, targets etcetera which lead to a good workflow.
User interface were good with buttons being in the right place, meaning that you didn't have to search around a lot because it was so easy.

Cons: The part of Microsoft Dynamics CRM that I disliked the most were absolutely the fact that it were a really slow customer relations management system that kept on slowing down our salesforce.

Excellent Pacakage for manufacturing firms but quite complex.

Pros: The extensive features that is available, especially for large manufacturing organisations where production, Bills of Material and inventory is vital. Ability to convert reports to excel at one click.

Cons: The inability to create adhoc reports, even things like changing invoice layout or updating company address is all hardcoded and can only be done by developers. Also chews a lot of system memory, needs powerful hardware for smooth operation. Can be slow depending on the volume.

Adored Microsoft CRM Dynamics. Give it a try, I strongly recommend others to use Microsoft CRM

Pros: We are using it for managing customer and product information. In addition, it allows us to synch customer data and to keep track of the behavior of our traffic on the website. The product is really helpful especially the UI, it is easily customizable. I like that I can keep track of all data we need to better run our company starting from demographic info, product info to customer purchasing patterns.

Cons: It could have been more UI intuitive, Navigation and user friendly for this Microsoft Dynamics CRM product.

Overall: This software helps to gather statistic of customers purchases and to keep track of demographic info and monitor and manage the whole system.

it is a great experience working with Dynamics NAV, very wonderful application full of features.

Pros: ease of use, no of modules that cover most of business functions, 2nd the variety of user interfaces, the application looks great, and it looks like other Microsoft products.

Cons: nothing in mind, it's really great application fit most of industries especially SMEs.
also in the area of localization we are looking for an Arabic language to be included.

Overall: it's one solution covers all aspects of companies, very easy to use and very wonderful interface, integration between Dynamics NAV and many of Microsoft products.

There are better CRM's out there but overall not a bad product

Pros: The customized reporting features within software are great and the ability to customize dashboards for the individual users as well as up-line management helps a lot.

Cons: The time that it takes to enter leads, activities, opportunities and accounts takes way too long. For an individual sales contributor, it may take anywhere from 6-8 hours per week to enter in sales activity. That is time taken away from where these individuals are most valuable, which is in front of customers.
