### "Powerfull All in one platform "

September 13, 2025

4.0

Overall, Dynamics 365 is a powerful solution for business that need an all in one platform for managing operations and customer services.

Pros

Integration with Microsoft own products like Outlook, Teams and Power BI is seamless and boosts productivity.

Cons

The platform can be overwhelming to setup and configure due to its complexity. Licensing costs add up quickly, especially if you need multiple modules. performance can sometimes lags if not optimized correctly.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing Dynamics 365

Our main reason was integration with existing Microsoft tools and customization options.

Switched from

[Salesforce Sales Cloud](https://www.capterra.com/p/61368/Salesforce/)

We switched from Salesforce because Dynamics 365 provided great integration with Microsoft tools we already used, such as Office 365, Teams and Power BI.

### "Dynamics 365 is powerful but too complicated for small teams"

May 15, 2026

4.0

We started using Dynamics 365 last year for our sales and finance management. Its really strong software but feels like its made for big companies. For daily work its okay after training but many times we waste time fighting with the system. Good for medium to large businesses but if you're small maybe look for simpler options. Still using it because data is safe and integrated but not fully satisfiied with the pricee

Pros

The best part is everything is in one place - sales, invoicing, customer tracking, banking transactions all connected. Reports are very detailed and the automation saves time once you set it up. Microsoft support was helpful when we had big issues.i guess it's value for money overall and easy to use .

Cons

Its way too expensive for small business like us. The learning curve is very steep, took almost 2 months for my team to get comfortable. Sometimes it becomes slow and there are random bugs with invoicing and bank sync. Customization is powerful but needs developer help which costs extra...

Switched from

### "Powerful and Flexible Business Management Platform"

August 17, 2026

4.0

Dynamics 365 is a powerful and flexible platform for managing business operations, customer relationships, and data. Its integration with other Microsoft products is a major advantage, and the customization options allow it to support a wide variety of business processes. However, the system can have a steep learning curve and may require experienced administrators to get the most out of it. Overall, it is a strong solution for organizations that need a comprehensive business management platform.

Pros

Powerful business management and CRM capabilities Integrates well with Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, and Power BI Highly customizable for different business needs Good reporting and data management Cloud-based and accessible from anywhere Strong automation and workflow capabilities

Cons

Can be complicated to learn and configure Licensing can become expensive Customization often requires technical knowledge Some features can feel overwhelming for smaller organizations Performance can depend on how the system is configured

### "Cumbersome, outdated, and expensive system"

April 14, 2026

3.0

I think if we had the chance to select a new system again, we would definitely select differently. The system is very cumbersome, users have a hard time self-servicing and need a lot of hand-holding for simple entry and analysis. I also find the reporting is atrocious. Its archaic and difficult to use and update.

Pros

We find there is a lot of Microsoft support materials available to help, and putting in a Microsoft ticket is often helpful. The banking connectivity, reconciliation, and banking rules are super easy to set up and work really well when designed properly. Huge time saver on bank reconciliations.

Cons

Dynamics is simply a re-skinned Great Plains and FRX reporter from the early 2000's. Functionality and many of the issues still exist, which makes it difficult to use and navigate. I find Dynamics licenses and cost of maintenance are still very expense for the value provided. You have to use a third party consultant (or internal support) to implement and project management which was quite costly and cumbersome.

### "Technically a CRM"

June 24, 2026

4.0

It is not user friendly. It does not have any visual cues options so it can make it easy for some errors to occur in billing and other transactions. If you don’t need that then go for it. Training new staff on it is difficult. You can’t customize your own roles view easily. If you’re purely a back end automation user it’s pretty alright. It’s not really customer facing.

Pros

We use Dynamics for our CRM because it’s customizable. Dynamics is cost efficient for a larger company 20 employees or more. It supports sales tracking and member communications as well as classroom roster features. In that sense it does support communication between customers and staff and allows the team to effectively support customers.

Cons

It can be sometimes having a lot of bugs and we have a tech guy full time dedicated to looking after it.

### "A Decent CRM Option for Small Teams"

July 19, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Dynamics 365 has been very positive, with the system proving to be a valuable asset for our team's daily operations. I appreciate the intuitive interface and the ability to customize it to suit our specific needs, which has greatly improved our workflow efficiency.

Pros

I've been using Dynamics 365 for about two years now, and it's been a pretty solid choice for our business. The customer service module works well enough, and I appreciate the flexibility it offers. Our team has found it easy to use and navigate, which is a big plus.

Cons

One thing that took a bit to figure out was the reporting feature – it's not a huge deal, but it would be nice if it were more intuitive. We've also experienced some minor issues with data import, but the support team has been responsive and helpful.

### "Dynamics 365 for Sales"

August 8, 2026

5.0

Overall, I've had a very positive experience with Dynamics 365. It's been a game-changer for our team's efficiency and productivity, allowing us to streamline processes and gain valuable insights into our business operations. While there have been some minor hiccups, the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks.

Pros

Dynamics 365 has been a pretty solid choice for our team's CRM and sales needs. We've found the user interface to be intuitive and easy to navigate. The reporting features are also quite useful for tracking sales performance.

Cons

One minor gripe is that the setup process took a bit to figure out, especially for our more junior team members. We've also experienced some minor issues with data synchronization, but overall, these are relatively minor complaints.

### "Dynamics 365"

July 2, 2026

5.0

I can easily manage several parts of my business at the same time, whether it’s customer relationships or some internal tasks, and it lets me have an overall view without getting too lost between different tools.

Pros

The tool is pretty complete and when you use it, you can tell it was designed for businesses that want to better organise how they work after using Salesforce Sales Cloud.

Cons

It’s not always easy to get the hang of, especially at the start. There are a lot of features and you can quickly feel a bit lost. Setting it up also takes time and sometimes you need a bit of help.

July 22, 2026

5.0

Pros

I have been using Dynamics 365 for several months, and what impressed me the most is the richness of its features. The integration with Excel and Outlook has really made my daily work easier, and the solution adapts well to a company's growth.

Cons

Pros

Cons

### "Dynamics 365 - Simple, user friendly, and get's the job done"

June 10, 2025

5.0

Overall, my experience with Dynamics 365 has been positive but it doesn’t have the WOW factor that other CRMs offer. While it gets the job done efficiently and provides solid functionality, the interface and features lack that extra level of innovation and polish seen in other platforms. It's reliable!

Pros

Dynamics 365 is an excellent tool due to its simplicity and user-friendliness. The intuitive interface makes navigation easy, and the seamless integration of features enhances productivity. It’s perfect for businesses looking for an efficient, streamlined solution without a steep learning curve.

Cons

The dashboard could use an upgrade for better user experience. The current layout makes it difficult to quickly access and display key metrics. Customization options are limited compared to competitors and it takes extra steps to view and analyze data, which can be frustrating for users who need to make quick, data-driven decisions.

February 2, 2025

5.0

The whole process of converting from an in-house software to Dynamics 365 was so seamless. Maybe a few minor glitches but the Support team were able to easily get around whatever it was that caused the glitch. They were a great team.

Pros

Cons

I can't say there was anything I didn't like about D365

### "Powerful Platform That Delivers, but Requires Investment to Get Right"

April 13, 2026

4.0

Overall, it’s been a positive experience, but one that improves significantly over time. Early on, it can feel a bit clunky and heavy, especially coming from simpler tools. But once it’s configured properly and the team is aligned on how to use it, it becomes a very capable platform. From an SDR lens, the biggest win is visibility and structure in the sales pipeline. You know where things are at, what’s moving, and what’s actually driving pipeline through campaigns. That’s critical in a high-volume environment. That said, it’s not a “set and forget” system. It needs ongoing attention - clean data, consistent processes, and decent internal ownership. If you’ve got that, it delivers strong value. If you don’t, it can feel like overkill. In short, a powerful platform that does the job well, but you’ve got to invest the time to make it work for you.

Pros

From an SDR point of view, the biggest strength is the depth across pipeline and campaign management. Once it’s properly set up, you’ve got clear visibility across the full sales pipe -lead to opportunity -without needing to jump between systems. Campaign tracking is solid as well, especially when it’s tied properly into reporting, so you can actually see what’s generating pipeline rather than guessing. There’s also strong value in how everything connects. Being part of the Microsoft ecosystem makes a difference -data flows well, reporting is robust, and you can build out automations that genuinely save time. When you’re working volume as an SDR, that efficiency matters. Overall, if you’re using it properly, it’s a powerful system that supports scale and gives you confidence in your data and pipeline.

Cons

The main downside is how much effort it takes to get there. Out of the box, it’s not particularly intuitive, and for SDRs trying to move quickly, that can be frustrating early on. Simple tasks can feel overcomplicated until everything’s been refined. There’s also a bit of friction in day-to-day use - too many clicks in certain workflows, and if the system isn’t well maintained, pipeline hygiene can slip pretty quickly. Campaign management is strong in theory, but it relies heavily on good setup and discipline; otherwise, it becomes messy and harder to trust. From a value perspective, it can feel expensive if you’re not fully utilising the features. You really need adoption across the team to justify the cost. Customer Support has been hit and miss when submitting tickets, but most software solutions are fairly the same there.

The single greatest advantage of Microsoft Dynamics 365 is its seamless integration with the broader Microsoft stack

Pros

The most praised aspect is how it brings different business functions together. Instead of jumping between disconnected apps, teams can manage sales, customer service, finance, operations, and marketing within one connected environment.

Cons

It sits comfortably within the standard Microsoft ecosystem. It plugs into tools most offices already use daily,

All goods so far! Been with company who's using the software for over 4 years and still meeting our expectation.

Pros

Cons

### "Powerful and Flexible, with a Steep Learning Curve"

April 15, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Dynamics 365 has been largely positive. It’s a powerful and flexible platform that works especially well for organizations already embedded in the Microsoft ecosystem. The tight integration with tools like Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Power BI made collaboration and data management more seamless, and the ability to customize workflows, dashboards, and reporting allowed it to support complex business processes. That said, it does come with a steep learning curve and can be resource‑intensive to implement and maintain. With proper training and support, however, Dynamics 365 becomes a robust, scalable solution for managing operations and customer relationships.

Pros

What I liked most about Dynamics 365 was how well it integrates with the broader Microsoft ecosystem. The seamless connection with Outlook, Teams, Excel, and SharePoint made it easy to manage data, communicate, and collaborate without constantly switching between systems. I also appreciated its flexibility—being able to customize workflows, dashboards, and reporting allowed it to adapt well to different business needs. Overall, it felt like a powerful, centralized platform for managing information and processes efficiently.

Cons

What I liked least about Dynamics 365 was its complexity and learning curve, especially during initial setup and customization. While the platform is very powerful, it can feel overwhelming to configure without dedicated technical support or training. Performance can also be an issue at times, particularly with large datasets or heavily customized environments, and licensing costs can add up quickly depending on the modules and users required. Overall, it can feel resource‑intensive compared to simpler CRM or ERP solutions.

Solid CRM, good for beginners as its easy enough to use and to understand but has some bugs and can be a little bit disorganized.

Pros

Cons

The reason why we use it is to perform multi-entity accounting and I no longer need to create a million different spreadsheets.

Pros

It worked fine, big time relief. Reports are literally just a click away and connect directly into our bank account. Additionally, the AI automated billing coding functions properly and I’m simply shocked it doesn’t screw up the data entry.

Cons

However, editing simple transactions take an awful lot of mouse clicks to simply correct one small typo. The Fixed Asset Module is weird, it appears to be something that was developed back in the ages.

March 18, 2026

Overall, I hardly use Dynamics 365 anymore now given its failings and even though I wish I could've mastered the app, they don't make it easy on the user.

Pros

I've always liked its robust reputation and big-picture business management system as well as integration with other 365 brand apps.

Cons

I even more dislike now the overstuffed features and functionality of the app is, wasting time and not generating any useful insights for my own private business.

### "The Dynamics 365 is a powerful and flexible but requires a steep learning curve."

February 27, 2025

5.0

This application does not become easy to use immediately after it is installed, and can be somewhat difficult to learn for those using it. Also, the interface has become much more streamlined, but it is that the software has so many features to sift through. Overall I like Dynamics 365 products, CRM is made well, it has compatibility and connections with Outlook, PowerAutomate is giving more options to update data which was not available before.

Pros

The seamless compatibility of Dynamics 365 with other Microsoft products, including Power BI, Azure, and Office 365 has benefits for real-time business information flow among different processes, which enhances collaboration and work productivity. It also could have embedded AI capabilities for analytic and automation purposes, which allows our organization have less manual labor.

Cons

Customer service is taking too long to resolve the reported issues.
